Hacienda Bambusa

Staff were attentive, dinning area overlooking the mountains and watching the birds in the fields, watching the Hummingbirds, food was so amazing.

The staff were marvellous and looked after us very well. The locates stunning.

Nothing. Activities were somewhat expensive, but the guides had excellent knowledge and superb English.

Mi estadía en Hacienda Bambusa fue, sinceramente, espectacular. Es uno de esos lugares donde todo parece estar en su lugar: la tranquilidad, el entorno, la atención al detalle… todo fluye de manera natural y elegante. Se nota un cuidado genuino en cada aspecto de la experiencia, pero lo que realmente marca la diferencia es el equipo humano. Hay una calidez que no se puede fingir. Quiero destacar, de manera especial, a Camilo. Su atención fue impecable, siempre presente sin ser invasivo, con una amabilidad que realmente hace la diferencia. Sin duda, un sitio al que vale la pena volver.

Es una hacienda preciosa convertida en hotel boutique. El personal es muy eficaz y amabilísimo empezando por Paula y siguiendo por todo el equipo . El desayuno, increíble . Muy buena cocina. Dejaros aconsejar por ellos para excursiones y visitas, tuvimos un guía excelente, Cristian , y un conductor muy bueno, Carlos. Si tuviéramos la oportunidad, sin duda alguna, repetiríamos .

El camino de acceso podría mejorarse, pero sin duda, cuando llegas , ves que ha merecido la pena .

Las habitaciones amplias contaban con hamaca, salita social, las camas muy cómodas.

En general todo estuvo muy bien aunque las piscinas no tienen climatización y la central estaba un poco sucia. Nos gustaría encontrar una carta más amplia.

It’s a beautiful property. However it is very remote and access was very poor especially at night. Once on the property you are reluctant to go out because of the access. The coffee tour was beautiful and the horse riding very special. However we felt that the price tag for the horse riding was ridiculous almost $500 US for one person. Breyer to book things directly with providers as hotel must be taking a big cut.

See above/ some of the staff were truely exceptional however there were those who had limited English which made meal times a little tricky. Nothing serious

I absolutely loved everything about Bambusa hotel. One of my favourite places I have ever stayed (and I worked at a travel magazine for years). Such lovely people, beautiful rooms and the most breathtaking location. Breakfast looking out onto the mountains every morning! Wow.

Booking an activity with them is very expensive. The tour to Pijao was 10x the price we got through a local operator. Felt like a slight rip off.

Such a beautiful home, the service was incredible - all the staff couldn’t do enough to make you feel at home. Having dinner outside under candlelight was my highlight.

The vegetation and birds around the property is paradise

This was the most amazing experience. The property and the surrounding area is lovely. But it is the staff and their attention to detail that makes it extraordinary. From the moment you are met with cold towels and a glass of juice the staff is attentive wanting to make your stay the best possible experience. Two of the nights we were there we were offered a special 4-course meal. The food was delicious and the setting was beautiful.

My only inout would be th at their website could be a little more specific. They offer half board or a VIP booking, but don’t explain the difference.

We loved the location of the Hacienda, however we did not like the road we had to travel on to get to it. :( We think it would be really nice for a property like yourselves, to make the access road somewhat more comfortable for your guests. The property is beautiful, the gardens and plants and flowers are just lovely and the pool is very nicely located and most welcome. The restaurant was beautifully positioned and we loved the green roof. ;)

The only think we didn't like was the access road.

A little bit distant from Valle de Cocoras and other sites.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Hacienda Bambusa and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It is in a very rural area in the middle of amazing terrain. Every view was spectacular and the bird watching was mesmerizing ( I don't even bird watching). All of the staff is incredibly attentive and made us happy to be their guest. A special callout to the office manager, Paula. She can give a masterclass on 5-star hospitality. She not only greeted every guest as they arrived, but she made sure to remember their names and check in with them at least once every day. Her warm attitude definitely spred to the remainder of the staff. We also adored our English translator and guide, John. The is contracted by the hacienda and provided us two days of enjoyable activities and company.

Even though I highly recommend this hacienda, we did not 100% love our room. Since it rains all of the time and is surrounded by plants, the smell was a little musty. We befriended 3 couples who stayed on upper level and they adored their rooms, so I would recommend asking for one of those rooms. I still give it 5 stars because I could not imagine staying anywhere else in the area.

The venue, very beautiful, well kept and comfortable. Delicious meals and a variety of additional plans to choose from. The property and staff facilitated the kind of quiet, peaceful environment that I was looking forward to.

the property in itself is lovely and worth spending time in and enjoying. the staff is super attentive and helpful. I would recommend doing touristy things such as coffee tours and valleys before coming to bambusa due to its remoteness. we did it all before and enjoyed the cycling, the farm and pool at bambusa.

the food service was a tad bit slow but they are working hard to improve it
