Very spacious room

Room doesn’t have any sound isolation, can hear all noises from down floor and if someone passing by and talking, it’s very laud. Also shower area was not clean.

Really enjoyed the stay. Clean and comfortable place with a very friendly and helpful host. Thank you for the great hospitality. Would love to stay again.

A really beautiful and stylish place of a special design, the owners were very nice and helpful. The rooms very spacious and nicely decorated. Lovely view over the Huluganga river. Great shower!!

Booked because of good rating In reality the accommodation is dirty: from dust and dirty windows, rubbish around the territory to disgusting dirty bedsheets. We asked to change bedsheets after dog fur was found on it. Instead we get bedsheets with hair and black and brown big spots. Wifi did not work during all our stay even though it was promised it will be fixed No toiletries, half piece of dried soap Toilet was leaking on the floor and stunk Dog was barking all evening and morning Bad-sheets and owners? clothes where hanging drying all around property. For 5 people we booked too rooms: double delux and family room, that can accommodate 7 people all together Our driver decided to stay with us in family room and we had to pay 10 dollars extra for that even though on booking this accommodation for 6 people instead of 5 cost +1,5 dollars extra Absolutely not recommended a place to stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at Amanzi Residence in Kandy. The location is beautiful right by the river, surrounded by greenery, and very peaceful. It’s close enough to the city to be convenient but still quiet, which makes it a great place to relax. The staff were friendly, helpful, and gave excellent service. The calm atmosphere by the water made the whole stay very enjoyable. If you’re looking for a peaceful riverside place with good hospitality in Kandy, I highly recommend Amanzi Residence.

The stay exceeded my expectations. very spacious room with all the facilities and a stunning river view. The owner was extremely friendly, and the place offers excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

Apartamento, tipo Loft. Cama doble en la parte inferior y en el altillo un colchón en el suelo. Vistas bonitas al río.

Pelos en la ducha y el altillo. Camino de acceso empinado, estrecho y lleno de baches. Está alejado del centro, menos mal q solo era una noche. El recibimiento del anfitrión tampoco fue excepcional, no hubo ningúna explicación.

La salle de bain était sale, nous avons trouvé des cafards bien vivants au pied du lit. La 3 eme personne peut se contenter d’un canapé aussi dure qu’une planche de bois. Merci de préciser que c est une chambre pour deux personnes.

The hotel's location was absolutely perfect!Our room was spacious, clean, well-decorated.The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had everything we needed, including a mini-fridge, coffee maker, balcony.We had a wonderful time at the Amanzi Residence and would definitely recommend it to other couples looking for a romantic getaway.

We loved this big room with an amazing view of the river that is right next to this stay. Everything was clean and we loved that this room has big windows allowing you to admire the beauty of nature.

Property was very modern and spacious.

The staff wasn’t welcoming at all and a bit rude. They charged us more than what was communicated through booking.

The location is hard to access We checked in at 6pm, the lady who helped had locked up and gone in an hour, leaving us alone in the place, so couldn't get any information regarding dinner/breakfast. Wasnt able to contact anyone by phone.All restaurants near by were closed, due to low season. The bathroom door was glass so not much privacy 😞

The residence was very tranquil, calm and clean in a nice location which is ideal for solo and couple travellers. The hotel has easy access to public areas, making it convenient for transportation and nearby main tourist attractions.

The room size was good. Hosts were pleasant and arranged laundry service for us without charge and that was useful for us. River view from our room was great.

This property has a lot of potential, however cleaning was lacking as we came across dust and cobwebs in many areas in the room. Sheets and towels had stains on them. We didn't use the loft area where 2 single mattresses were put on the floor due to the lack of cleanliness and circulation issues. Hosts were okay for us to move the mattresses down to the floor, so that issue got sorted. There are many aggressive dogs in the surroundings - so walking to the apartment after dark is impossible. If traveling by car/taxi, then its okay.

very spacious and comfy bedrooms. Bathroom was clean and was working perfectly. Hot water worked without any problems at all times. Pillows weren't my favourite but it was fine. I think the in-room fridge may need some cleaning since it's not on.

I knew the location wasn't going to be easy to get to, but it was manageable. Parkin will be an issue for bigger cars. Since it's in a residential area, expect a lot of dogs barking and residential noise.

Not only was the tranquil environment that this place was in absolutely mesmerizing and infatuating, where the river and the cold climate soothing to listen and watch, but the insulation in the bathroom and how cozy it was with the hot water is something I commend about. It’s a reasonable, affordable price that didn’t deprive me of any facility and the comfortable, soft bed fulfilled my expectations. It was very functional! With a Wardrobe, free wifi and amenities , it was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet, as I was reminded of my happy place in this stay. Very satisfied ! 👍🏻

The host welcomed us with the fewest words anyone could possibly use to make any sense. There were 5 of us and he refused to give us more than two small bottles of water because apparently "we had booked the place on the cheap" as If we had anything to do with pricing. Then later when we asked him a million times for water he simply ignored us. The place is thrown together carelessly; there's no proper sitting area and most of the first floor is occupied by the twin bed which is guess what, right next to the kitchen and the bathroom. The bathroom walls are made of flimsy material which did little to insulate. The water pressure was nonexistent and the heater stopped working on the second day. Unsurprisingly enough, he ignored us when we told him about the issues.

We didn’t find the accomodation clean (bathroom and inside the wardrobe) and we think a bit overpriced. This is the only accomodation on this price range/type we haven’t had breakfast.

It’s a little far out from the center, and it’s a bit challenging for Tuktuk to get there, but not impossible!

I recently stayed at a charming riverside retreat with serene beauty of nature, riverside view, birds chirping and such a tranquil atmosphere. This was a newly build hotel with huge rooms, newly build air conditioning, powerful Wifi which we had unlimited access and so comfortable big beds. The bathroom has good river view with warm water and everything was new and clean. I would say the host amazed us with this experience and worth the value of money we paid. Even transportation went so smoothly, it was cheap from the Kandy railway station, temple of the tooth relic and the city center. It will take you average 1.2 to 1.5 euros. Sri Lankan cuisine, hospitality and everything was worth the money making memory in Sri Lanka. Thank you so much

I loved everything about this place! I was supposed to stay only for 2 nights but after seeing the room, I immediately decided to extend my stay to 5 nights. It is very beautiful, spacious, clean, calm and relaxing. It was always so nice to come back and chill on a terrace overlooking the river after a day spent in busy Kandy or after hiking for several hours. The hosts are very kind, helpful and responsive. Perfect value for this money. I really recommend!

We loved the interior decoration of this bedroom and the architecture of the building. The room is massive, so we had loads of space. The balcony looks out onto the river, where you can see the flying fox at sunset. The owner recommended a trust worthy tuk tuk driver as well.

To be honest this was the best room i have ever stayed in my life :) it’s such an inspirational room with beautiful wooden high ceilings and the most amazing hosts in sri lanka. It’s a really sweet family who cooked for me and really took care of even the smallest details during my stay. There is not much going on in Kandy but just because of this room and these amazing family host, i would even consider coming back here. Also the city center i went everyday with tuktuk from pickme only for 500 rupees so it’s extremely convenient. Lastly the price i paid and what i got is really incredible. Thank you a lot!

Such a lovely family in a quite neighborhood. You have complete privacy as you will stay at the top floor. Rooms are very spacious and anything you need the hosts are there to help with. Great view of Sri Lanka's longest river, definitely worth every penny spent.

Waking up to the breathtaking view of the Mahavali River from my bedroom was an absolute delight. The mix of a peaceful atmosphere and being right near city life made my stay truly special.
