The hosts were super friendly and hospitable !! Would definitely recommend staying here, they also made us a lovely breakfast in the morning and were super helpful with guiding us to our next location! I also arrived at midnight and the hosts stayed up to welcome me which was lovely. The house and the rooms were great. Beds were a 10/10

Very friendly place

Wir haben nur eine Nacht dort verbracht, auf der Durchreise nach Anuradhapura. Die Vermieter waren sehr sympathisch, haben uns gute Tipps gegeben und uns sogar für die Zugreise etwas zu essen mitgegeben - obwohl es sehr früh war. Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhiger Gegend, alles ist fußläufig gut erreichbar.

Western breakfast is better for me, but I love what I got, and the location was amazing

Actually it is not a hotel, but an architectural designed house. The house owner lady is having a fair and pleasant hospitality.

No credit or debit card accepted. Not clean enough, specially like staircase and etc. The washroom can be seen by anyone at the roof top opening which is unbearable and unethical. Air conditioner is not fixed to the right place and it is also not working well. No fan or a clothe rack inside the room. Soundproof is really bad specially in the washroom, the next room’s washroom can be heard perfectly. No resturant, or at least lunch and dinner.

A gorgeous spacious room in a beautiful building! Spotlessly clean with a lovely hot water shower, a/c and private balcony set in a lovely peaceful garden. The hosts were so friendly, helpful and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious!! The dhal was superb! The property also has a lovely rooftop seating area to enjoy the evenings on. Would highly recommend!!

Had a wonderful stay at Gampaha Heritage Homestay. The location is super convenient, being very close to Gampaha town, which made getting around really easy. The owners are incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, making the whole experience feel warm and comfortable. Everything was smooth and easy to arrange, with no hassle at all. Vijita and Ranjit stayed up to greet me despite my late arrival. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast was more than I could manage! Splendid home.

I know it’s common in Sri Lanka but I really don’t like cold showers! I guess I’ll get used to it.

This was our second visit to Gampaha Heritage. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Husband and wife team was very friendly and helpful. Bit far from the main street ehich made it nice and quiet at night (great!!) but for walging into town..not so easy. But nothing a tuktuk could not fix. We just love to walk.

From the moment we arrived, our hosts made us feel very welcome. The home stay can only be described as delightful. The property is set in lovely grounds, just a short walk from town. We had a large comfy bed with a lovely shower room. The breakfast was the best if you like Sri Lankan cuisine. We really enjoyed it. The host also organised a really helpful tuk-tuk driver for us.

Sehr freundliches und interessiertes Gastgeberpaar :-) Das Haus ist aussergewöhnlich - man merkt, dass hier ein Architekt gewirkt hat. Ideal, wenn man bei Anreise ein ruhiges Plätzchen in Flughafennähe sucht, um dann im Anschluss ins Inland weiterzureisen.

My stay with Ranjith and Vijitha has been of a high standard and the best by far. I initially booked for two night but realised I wanted to stay longer. Their hospitality from my arrival has been truly warm and welcoming. The room was a large room with en-suite wet room that is spacious and cool with a small private balcony. The room is maintained to a high standard with everything for a convenient and relaxing stay. Vijitha, kindly provided me with a range of requested breakfast foods which I was most grateful for. Ranjith found me a bicycle and gave me a moped ride into town. Ranjith and Vijith work excellently together as a husband and wife team responding to their guests needs. It has truly been a pleasure meeting them and staying in their homestay.

From here, you can also travel easily by train—whether pre-booked online or with regular tickets—to destinations like Ella, Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Hikkaduwa, and Mirissa. I highly recommend Gampaha Heritage for anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and enjoyable stay in Gampaha.

There was honestly nothing to dislike! My stay was comfortable, and the hospitality was exceptional. If anything, I only wish I had more time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the lovely rooftop area. 😊

When you are searching a good place to stay on your way to Sri Lanka, this is the best place you can find at Gampaha area. It’s very near to Gampaha railway station and easily accessible to Colombo-Kandy main road as well. Staff is very kind and friendly. All the areas in the property are well maintained and clean. No outside disturbances and you can stay there like you are in your own home. Highly recommended this place for a pleasant stay on your vacation.

We had a lovely and very relaxing 2-night stay in Ranjith & Vijitha’s home. Our room was clean, fresh, and had a balcony overlooking greenery with lots of birds and squirrels! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and we had a good chat with them. The location is peaceful and not far from the train station via a tuk-tuk or car. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

We didn't realise that there was no hot water system, but the water was generally luke warm and we managed during our short stay.

We were warmly welcomed upon arrival. The hosts are super kind and lovely people. They greeted us with a drink, helped carry our backpacks, ordered food for us and prepared a delicious breakfast. Additionally, they arranged transportation to our next destination. The place is very clean as well. If we are in the area again, we will definitely return.

Well located modern property,set in lovely surroundings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and clean and well furnished. Well situated for transport, as train station is not far away, and good car parking . You get a very tasty breakfast provided by the owners, who are a very caring and obliging couple. We had lovely evening with them during our stay. Highly recommend.

The owners were amazing! They let us in at 3 am because our flight was delayed. They made sure we had everything we needed. We had a delicious breakfast with milk rice.

The owners are fantastic. They helped me with everything I needed, such as taking me to an ATM, then to the train station, and made sure that I bought the right ticket and I was on the right platform.

When we arrived we were stunned by the beautiful architecture of the Villa. It is very open und full of light. Even some trees got planted inside the living room which really gave us the feeling of freedom and nature. The host couple welcomed us most welcoming and where always there for our questions and needs. The rooms where always clean and tidy. After 6 Nights of staying I can only recommend to come and stay with them to get a feeling of the best Sri Lankan hospitality.

The staff was so nice and they made it home for the night that I stayed.

(Driving) Due to the remote location, our gps brought us through a tiny one lane road over a swamp. make sure you take a main road when you go!
