I did not understand what "Self Service" actually meant. So I was very surprised when there was no one there. I did need the assistance of the hire car driver to take my luggage upstairs. I did not order breakfast because I did not know how that would work out. And it was good not to have to worry about someone else's timetable to wake up. It did not trouble me not to have breakfast. I only saw other people once or twice and only said "hello", but that was fine. I spent three nights there and found it very good. I was joining a Martin Randall tour group, so I moved on after the third night to the Swan. I am happy for you to use my comments because I thought it was very unusual and very good. A lovely house within walking distance of the charming village of Bibury. Our double room was very nicely decorated, with two connecting rooms. However, the double bed of one room was a little too small for us, so my husband used the also rather small single bed in the other room. Breakfast is ordered the evening before using a preference card. Unfortunately, some of our requested soft-boiled eggs were hard, but these things can happen. There are a few parking spaces behind the house, but unfortunately they were occupied when we arrived. However, we had no problem parking on the opposite side of the road. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated being allowed to use the toilet again two hours after checking out – a very kind gesture. Bibury itself is a wonderful place and definitely worth visiting.

The house was nice. Something for change from the city. Walking distance to main village. Some detergent pods provided for laundry (which is rare in many places).

Small fan provided is quite noisy. I opened the window instead but you can still hear cars passing by once in a while making it hard to sleep for light sleeper or those with jetlag.

Self checkin was easy. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. The English breakfast was wonderful.

We needed to drop our bags and check in early due to a wedding close by and they were incredibly accommodating. The lady who greeted us was so kind and friendly, and the place felt like a lovely little home away from home. Breakfast was delicious, and it was lovely to have a stroll into Bibury the next morning. Highly recommend for a stay in the Cotswolds.

Parking was the only thing. Not enough space for all residents but we expected it may be an issue.

Breakfast staff were lovely and very friendly. Breakfast was done very well. Overal a pleasant place.

Not enough car parking spaces for rooms. Bed length was tight for a 6 ft male, expect a bigger bed in a hotel If being critical messaged about a children's cot, this being ready or available in the room would have been really helpful. As it happened we brought our own.

No parking area left for us , the carpet and whole house had a slight bad smell, coach was very used. Not face towels for everyone.

Un posto incantevole in un autentico cottage delle Cotswolds. La stanza piccola ma accogliente. Tutto curato nei dettagli e super pulito. Materasso per i nostri gusti un po’ morbido. Colazione deliziosa preparata appositamente per gli ospiti dalla padrona di casa

The breakfast was amazing, it had parking spots behind the house, the room was very charming, the bathroom was new and modern and had all the little things you need, the towels were soft, the personnel was really nice and check in was easy

Comme constaté également dans d'autres locations en Angleterre durant notre séjour, nous avons été surpris de voir les 4 fenêtres (des velux) aux vitres non nettoyées, presque opaques de saleté. D'autant plus surprenant que tout le reste de la double chambre et toute la maison sur 3 étages était délicieusement propre et bien décorée !!

Sehr authentisches hübsches Cotswold Haus, hübsches, sauberes Zimmer, sehr gutes Frühstück Gut gelegen.

Die Wände sind sehr dünn. Man hört jedes Wort. Bei stärkeren Bewegungen im Nebenraum, kommt einem vor, das ganzr Haus vibriert.

Struttura incantevole, un piccolo gioiello delle coastwold a pochi metri dal punto più famoso di bibury. Abbiamo soggiornato nella quadrupla, una soffitta con le finestre vasistas, sembrava di stare in un film. Colazione eccellente, la signora fa tutto in casa, consiglio di assaggiare il crumble.

Nulla. Tutto perfetto. Il parcheggio non ha capienza totale per tutti gli occupanti ma si può parcheggiare senza problemi in strada.

We turned up to a self check-in and there was no key left for us, no-one on site and no-one answering the phone, messages, whatsapp, emails. Despite multiple attempts to contact we ended up having to abandon the place and pay twice as much at a nearby hotel.

I loved my stay here and will definitely be back when visiting the Cotswolds next time! My room was clean, comfortable, well-designed and I appreciated all the personalised touches (such as the welcome card with your name on, water bottles, fan during the extreme heat and toiletries. The ladies at breakfast service were so lovely and considerate that it made my experience feel like home, I particularly loved the homemade granola! Breakfast options were fantastic and were the highlight of my stay.

Parking was a bit of a squeeze especially when there’s lots of big vehicles, but there was a spot for everyone and lots of roadside parking so wasn’t an issue. Only improvements, the hairdryer in room 3 needs replacing as it would overheat and stop working every few mins and the bed is also very creaky when moving around.

1) La posizione e il contesto: l’intera area circostante è davvero gradevole, immersa in un verde molto curato e circondata da fiumi e dai caratteristici, straordinari cottage del luogo. La posizione della struttura è decisamente strategica: comoda e ideale per visitare i meravigliosi paesini delle Cotswolds. 2) la camera e il terrazzino: abbiamo apprezzato molto il terrazzino d’accesso alla camera, un angolo di pace perfetto per affacciarsi e godersi la tranquillità della natura circostante. 3) la colazione e l'accoglienza: nota di merito per la signora addetta alle colazioni (credo di origini polacche, forse la proprietaria): estremamente gentile, simpatica e disponibile. La colazione in sé, pur non essendo particolarmente ricca o varia, ci ha soddisfatto grazie all'ottima qualità delle materie prime, con prodotti freschi e preparati al momento.

1) Pulizia e servizi non segnalati: Il prezzo del soggiorno non include la pulizia giornaliera della stanza, un dettaglio fondamentale che trovo scorretto non venga specificato né su Booking né sul sito ufficiale della struttura. Inoltre, già al nostro arrivo, abbiamo notato che il grazioso terrazzino esterno (dotato di tavolino e sedie) era imbrattato da escrementi di uccelli. Nonostante l'immediata segnalazione, l'area non è mai stata pulita durante il soggiorno. 2) La camera (spazio e comfort): La stanza assegnataci si è rivelata decisamente troppo piccola (circa 12/13 mq) e priva di una vera e propria stanza da bagno: la doccia e il lavandino sono infatti a vista direttamente in camera. La vivibilità è ulteriormente penalizzata dal soffitto spiovente, molto basso, sul quale si rischia continuamente di battere la testa. Mancano inoltre armadi o mobili per riporre i vestiti (costringendoci a lasciarli in valigia); solo l’ultimo giorno abbiamo scoperto, per caso, la presenza di un cassettone sotto al letto. 3) Il problema del parcheggio: La struttura dispone di un parcheggio, ma è molto piccolo. Quello che non viene specificato è che il numero di stanze supera i posti auto disponibili, rendendo spesso impossibile parcheggiare. Trovare un'alternativa all'esterno è estremamente difficile, in particolare durante il fine settimana, il che può rappresentare un serio problema. 4) Rapporto qualità-prezzo: Alla luce di tutti questi aspetti negativi, la tariffa di 280 euro a notte è del tutto sproporzionata ed eccessiva. Col senno di poi, riteniamo che il valore reale della struttura non dovrebbe superare la metà di quanto pagato.

schön eingerichtes Zimmer, wir hatten nach hinten das Zimmer, daher keinen Straßenlärm, Wir durften eher in das Zimmer, weil wir sehr zeitig angekommen sind. Parkmöglichkeiten hinter dem Haus. Fussläufig ins Centrum. Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Liebevoll eingerichter Frühstücksraum.

Great location, very near everything in town but private and cosy and plenty of parking. We loved our stay there. Kitchen is well stocked and we made meals for breakfast and dinner.

One thing that we would love though is if they could add hooks to bathroom because it is very tricky to hang clothes and towels.

The cottage was perfect for our stay. Bibury is an idyllic Cotswold village and the cottage location is just a short stroll away. Clean, friendly staff and fully stocked kitchen.
