Chalet Bärgblick

We had an wonderful 7-night stay! Marianne and her family were a great hosts, so welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout our trip. The location in Grindelwald is perfect for exploring.

Our stay at Chalet Bargblick was perfect from start to finish! Marianne was incredibly welcoming, provided everything we needed and responded instantly; accommodation was spotless and exactly as described; the location was ideal, bus stop right next to chalet. We felt like home, and due to Marianne's local recommendations we've had an unforgettable trip! Thank you Marianne and family! Highly recommended!

Great in communications before and during my stay whenever I had questions. Spacious and well equipped kitchen and bath. Clean and comfortable. Nice outside tables and chairs with mountain and village views. Lots of stars at night. Just in front of the bus stop to go to Grindelwald. And walking distance to Grindelwald terminal and Grund. Marianne is friendly and thoughtful. I had a very good time with unforgettable memories.

A beautiful place in between the mountains. Great host and we loved having fresh milk everyday from their cows. Totally recommend staying here if you are planning to stay in grindelwald.

Fantastisch locatie op een gezellige boederij dicht bij bus en trein verbinding met veel wandel mogelijkheden, mooi compleet appartement, Marianne en haar familie zijn super gastvrij.

주방에 앉아서 식사하면서 보이는 뷰가 좋습니다. 집 앞에 바로 버스정류장이 있어서 게스트카드로 무료 이용이 가능합니다. 그룬트 역도 가까워요. 도시세는 1박에 10프랑입니당. ㅎㅎ

특별히 없습니다. 날씨가 좋았는데, 흐린 날도 운치 있고 좋았어요.

Het appartement was ontzettend compleet en mooi. Het heeft een ruime slaapkamer met heerlijke bedden en meer dan voldoende kastruimte, een fijne living met open haard en comfortabele stoelen / bank, een grote badkamer met heerlijk ligbad en douche, een grote keuken met heel veel pannen, bestek, servies, etc.. Aan werkelijk alles was gedacht, zelfs aan dweiltjes, theedoeken, schuursponsjes, vaatwasblokjes en wc papier voor de eerste dagen. We zijn echt super blij dat we in dit appartement verbleven. Het is op loopafstand van Bahnhof Grund en de Terminal en met de bus (die stopt voor de deur) ben je zo in het centrum van Grindelwald. Marianne en Lorenz zijn super lieve eigenaren die altijd voor ons klaar stonden voor een antwoord op een vraag. We voelden ons heel welkom en komen graag nog eens terug. Wat ons betreft een absolute aanrader!!!!

Great host, good location.

It was a perfect place to be. It is a good base for hiking or exploring the area. Near all facilities like trains, cable cars or the village centre with shops and restaurants. The host, Marianne, is very kind and helpful. She knows the area extremely well, so she can tell what the options are for hiking or exploring. She even brings milk from their own cows. The appartment has everything you need. It's clean, cosy and has the best views of the mountains. Would definitely recommend this chalet.

Marianna was an amazing host!! Great for letting us know about the transport around Grindelwald, generous with farm fresh milk and eggs. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely everything about Chalet Bärgblick exceeded our expectations. Marianne and her family were the perfect hosts, the chalet and the scenery were like a fairytale and we never wanted to leave. Marianne treated us like friends throughout, made sure we got there easily, settled us in, supplied us with farm fresh milk daily and fresh eggs, gave us tips and suggestions for our outings each day and ensured that we had everything we could possibly need for our stay. She even messaged to make sure we arrived at our next destination after leaving. The chalet was beautifully warm (great heating), clean and comfortable for our 5 night stay. The kitchen was very well equiped - we bought food at the Coop in town and local products from Landi to make most meals during our stay. We were also able to use Mariannes washing machine and dryer which was fabulous. Looking out of the windows over the stunning Grindelwald Valley with the mountains as a backdrop, watching the cows wandering past our window on the way to the milking shed and the sun set over the mountains was truely magnificent! The other thing to note is that the local bus stops at their driveway and is free to ride making it very easy to get into town or to the train or bus terminals or to the First Gondola stop.

Leaving!!! We could have stayed forever!

We had the absolute best time here! The house is wonderfully decoration, perfectly clean and in the best spot on the side of the hills right under the Eiger. So cozy with the wood burn fireplace and old farm house charm. We got to say hi to the cows and bunnies everyday and give them pets. The owner Marianne and her son Kasper were incredible hosts and made sure we had everything we needed at all times.

Great location, great host.

Marianne was a great host--she came to pick us up from the train station since we arrived later at night, and was helpful with advice on getting around the area. The apartment was nice and spacious for 2 people. We liked having the wood burning stove and full kitchen, and making friends with the orange barn cat. We would love to visit and stay here again someday!

Spacious . Set in a beautiful location. Good access to public transport . The hostess was very helpful .

We will never forget our stay here because it was simply perfect. Flawless accommodation, wonderful owners and beautiful nature. A short distance from the train station and cable car station. We took away beautiful memories. Thank you very much for the perfect service and willingness to chat. We look forward to seeing you again.

Comfortable apartment on the base floor with terrace. From the windows and the entire territory of the apartments, enchanting views of the mountains and snow-capped peaks open in all directions. Separated from the living room, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a stove, a dishwasher, a coffee machine, toaster, etc. Hospitable hosts, Marianna is always in touch if necessary, helps to optimally plan travel routes taking into account the "Jungfrau Region" guest card, provided by the hotel, and is very attentive to all requests.

Marianne and Laurence are very welcoming hosts. Being on a dairy farm with Laurence milking cows every day, we were spoiled to fresh milk from Swiss Simmental cows. The location was perfect. Planted right in the middle of Grindelwald Valley towards the bottom of the North slope, a manageable distance for most to walk to the Jungfrau cable car and train station. If you go during ski season, it is possible to ski from the slopes all the way to the house. Marianne was full of advice on traveling and even helped us book a paragliding excursion. I hope to travel back some day.

That we had to leave.

Everything was perfect. We had everything we needed, it was SUPER cozy, and the host was extremely nice and accommodating. The town itself is beautiful and this was one of my favorite hotel / airbnb stays ever. Really loved it.

Marian is a really the best host. Amazing view, 10 minutes walking to the Terminal (or you can do it on a sled).

Very clean and cosy

We had the honor of visiting the family's grazing fields on the mountain, and helping with milking and tending to the cows. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and we look forward to doing it again next summer!

We loved our stay! View was amazing, loved fireplace. The location was good. 10 min walk to the terminal, 20 min walk to station. Bus stops right in front of the chalet. Host was really nice.

i want to give 100 million star for this place. we love and enjoyed stay at mariane place. this place totally heaven on earth. the best place in this planet to stay! we will come back soon. thanks mariane and lorenz for the great hospitality.

Friendly and relaxed host, good location and nice views. Combined work from home -away-from-home with some holidays, perfect!

Anything less than 10/10 is a crime for this place. Such a beautiful Chalet. Stole our hearts the moment we saw it. This is the image of Switzerland I have had since my childhood. Absolutely enjoyed the stay here. The place is located in a scenic and peaceful part about 2 kms from the center. Buses come right near the Chalet. But keep in mind buses run only till 7pm and run only once every hour or so. But can be reached within walking distance from Grindelwald Terminal station. A small 10-minute hike that's all. If you are interested in skiing, Grindelwald Grund station with trains to Kleiene Scheidegg is also reachable by walk. They have plenty of parking space in case you drive. In winter better to not follow the shorter route suggested by Google maps and instead follow the bus route. The chalet is very well equipped with everything you need. Happy about it. Best part was the fireplace. Made it a cozy environment for our winter stay. Otherwise, no shops etc around. You need to plan your shopping for Groceries, but that's hardly an inconvenience. Most of all, Marienne and her family are the highlight. Best hospitality I have come across in Europe. She was always in touch with us to see that we were comfortable. Be it providing fresh milk from their farm, or dropping us to the station a couple of times when we were in a hurry, cannot thank her and her family enough. Would definitely visit again.

There was some initial confusion with our booking. We were a bit annoyed with it, but then Marienne more than made up for this.

When we arrived, a little boy came out and showed us where to park, followed by Marianne, the host, who handed us the key. The place was excellent! Very beautiful, very comfortable, cozy and though it the appartment was exactly as shown on the photo's, it still exceeded our expectations!
