Poor soundproofing(quite high noise transfer) and a noticeable damp smell in the room.

Very echoey rooms. I have an asthmatic cough and i.felt i.was in a bell chamber. Because it was so far away from any restaurants or places to eat I would highly recommend that they open their very nice kitchen up, like in hostels, so guests can cook their own meals and obviously cleaning up after themselves like in hostels. These two issues were the biggest downside, otherwise it was a lovely, clean, quiet place

A directional sign at the turn-off would be helpful. A table to eat at in the rooms needed and there were only 3 plates for four of us. While the bathroom was mostly very clean, underneath the washbasin was not nor was the toilet pedestal.

Everything was thoughtfully prepared for our arrival, including towels, shampoo, conditioner and shower soap. We felt very comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommended! Reviewed Aug 31, 2026If you arrive prepared for self catering with the food, a microwave, fridge, cutlery and ceramics are provided. Bonus having a kettle in the room, bring your own milk( shop 10 minutes drive away! Outdoor area with table and chairs lovely to sit outside on a summer evening in the countryside. Eggs are provided in a hatch at the gate for E2, nice touch😉
Only slight quibble was the towels were well worn and they new pillows, mattress would have made the experience there excellent. No plug for the bath to use.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Great! I've asked the owner if I could wash my clothes even though the facilities weren't included and he happily helped . When I offered him money he flat out refused. Comfy beds,well fitted bathroom, quiet countryside, farm animals all around, very relaxing. Roads to the town are narrow and can be stressful at times as two cars hardly fit to pass one another. I highly recommend staying at this property if you don't mind farm noises.
Somewhat creaking doors and they tend to bang around if there's draft.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026La casa es muy bonita, en mitad del campo. Las camas son muy cómodas y la ducha funciona muy bien. Aunque compartíamos baño con otra habitación no debía de haber nadie porque no coincidimos ni una vez.
Aunque la habitación es muy grande la mesa que hay es muy pequeña y bajita. Se podría mejorar con una mesa más grande y alguna silla plegable para poder desayunar o preparar unos sándwiches.

Of all the places I’ve stayed in Ireland, this was the only one where the host didn’t show up. Perhaps if he had, he might have spoken to the other guests who, at midnight and at 5 pm, were causing a disturbance for the rest of the guests. Shameful

La bouilloire et de quoi faire un thé ou un café étaient à disposition ce qui est très agréable. La douche partagée avec d’autres voyageurs était propre et facile d’utilisation. Tout était comme nous le pensions et au calme. Nous n’avons pas croisé notre hôte.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026We did not have breakfast. The location was perfect for us. It was close to The Burren which was fascinating and has encouraged us to revisit the area to explore it more. Very peaceful and quiet location . Made our holiday.

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026We loved the peaceful countryside location and how central it is for exploring The Burren area and just a short drive to the coast. The owner, Frances, is very communicative checking that we had everything we needed and Michael on site is friendly and helpful. The shared fridge/freezer and microwave were a bonus & very useful. We liked the garden seating area for breakfast as we were very lucky with the weather!
Being a bit picky because the place is lovely but the doors to the rooms were quite noisy to open & shut and the close proximity to the other rooms and their shared bathroom made this slightly irritating. A small table in the room would be a useful addition as we only had the outside table which would not have been good in bad weather.

We didn‘t have access to kitchen to make any food. That was a bit concerning for us. It was so so good ic we had access to kitchen. Otherwise it was a very nice stay. Very clean and so pleasing staff.
