Blainroe Cottage

Perfect location to explore this part of Ireland and Vernon provided a useful list of places to go. Very comfortable and the filtered water from the fridge was a lovely extra. Vernon was very responsive in answering questions ( I couldn't find a kettle - turns out there was a boiling water tap!)

The postcode is shared by the golf club across the road, which can be confusing on first arrival. The nearest grocery shop is about a 5 min drive away (towards Brittas Bay Beach) so if arriving late, maybe take supplies with you.

It was quiet and serene, close to the water and close enough to Wicklow to be convenient for groceries, etc. When I walked in I fell in love with the place, it’s open and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, and having the laundry available was a huge plus. The back garden with the pond was lovely and I absolutely loved the skylight window in the bedroom and stargazing at night before bed.

It's quite well situated, clean and has many amenities like a washing machine and dryer that we hadn't even thought about. All the appliances are quite modern and the sofa and bed are very comfortable.

The wooden spiral staircase scared me a bit. It creaks underfoot and doesn't feel very secure. Better curtains and more information regarding the garbage would be better also.

Indicato per viaggiatori in auto o moto in modo da poter esplorare i dintorni con gite giornaliere di 30/50 km. Supermercato e ottimi ristoranti a 5 min. dalla struttura. Costo allineato con altre soluzioni in zona (Maggio 2026 - 620 euro per 6 notti in 2)

Tutto bene, nessuna criticità da segnalare se non piccole manutenzioni necessarie.

Die Lage und Umgebung ist sehr schön. Leider sind von der Unterkunft direkt keine Spaziergänge zu machen. Um die doch recht steile Wendeltreppe zu besteigen sollte man trittsicher sein.

Das cottage ist doch ein bißchen in die Jahre gekommen und das eine oder sollte repariert werden. So ist z.B. der Abschlussknopf an der Wendeltreppe Lose. Genauso die Armlehne am Sessel. Das Badfenster kann man zwar zuziehen aber nicht verriegeln.

Self catering breakfast not applicable. The location was perfect for us, quiet, near the beach, 4 miles from Wicklow Town Centre.

Great apartment, clean, cosy, peaceful surroundings. There are a lot of appliances, so you can easily cook dinner. Comfortable bed. washing machine and the dryer were useful after hikes. Easy check in, clear and useful instructions.

I didn't just like my stay here, I loved it! It was comfortable, cozy and warm with the heating on, very quiet and peaceful, just as I had hoped for it to be. I would have liked for there to be a kettle but heating water in a saucepan was just as good. Someone else mightn't prefer to wait 10 min for a cuppa but they would have to bring their own. Apart from that, all details were thoughtfully put down in the message to me, I was well looked after.

All soap bars used by previous guests need to be binned, to avoid the spread of germs and subsequent infections. The velux window although shut allowed entry to 2 bees. Once I closed the shutter it kept them from entering the room but you could still hear them buzzing and trapped between the shade and the window.

Location and tranquility

All facilities were of a high standard .The only exception was the shower ' it was just adequate.

Great location, short walk through golf club car park opposite to a beautiful beach. Just enough privacy in open communal garden (with lovely ponds in centre), all the neighbours we met were very friendly.

Convenient, comfortable and everything you need is in the cottage.

After having a pretty different time, I decided to take myself away for 3 nights and I could not have chosen a better place. Secluded but with others near if needed. A little bench nessled within trees just outside my door. So close to the most beautiful little beach, cliff walk and town. The cottage is modern, clean and has everything you need..I slept like a baby. I will most definitely be back.

I wouldn't change a thing.

The main door could be completely covered instead of transparent or translucent glass.

The place was very modern and clean. great amenities and lots of items left (washing machine pods, dish washer tablets, cleaning products, linen and towels and some cooking items). So handy to have as didn't have to go out and buy everything new for a few nights. Staff were amazing when I contacted them, very understanding and kind. Dog friendly was great!

Nothing to not like. Would have been great to have a bit of enclosed garden for the dog but the grounds of the area are stunning and great for a dog walk.

It was a 10 minute drive into Wicklow Town. Close to Brittas Bay Beach in Wicklow. Neighbours were friendly. It had all that you needed for a self catering accommodation.

The location was very good for visiting our daughter in Newtownmount Kennedy. it was very quiet and well appointed.

A bit more sun hine in the property. The tree at the rear of th epropoert y ois shading tyh egarden and making the interior cool.

Beautiful, comfortable apartment with everything we needed, including some basics for cooking in a garden setting. It was a short drive to Wicklow and central to many places in the county.

The property is very clean and comfortable. And the value for money is great

Quaint cottage with a lovely view from the little terrace on the back. Plenty of room for 2 and spacious bedroom for having suitcases open! Nicely decorated. Really liked the cottage.

A few issues with housekeeping. Would be nice if the chairs on the terrace were a bit taller. Hard to get up and down. The winding staircase was a bit difficult to get large suitcases up and down. A bit more water pressure in the shower would be better, but none of those were a big deal, just observations.

Lovely wee house in a perfect location for exploring County Wicklow. Dog friendly is a real plus for us.The house is beautifully decorated and the outside area, especially the communal pond and garden are gorgeous. The cliff walk beside Wicklow golf club is fantastic Beautiful Magheramore beach is very close too. Good restaurants nearby. The Bridge Tavern in Wicklow town, Trento pasta takeaway also. Avoca mills café and shop in Avoca, excellent lunch.

Communication from host was a little sketchy. Water pressure in shower was poor but we may have been doing something wrong.

A very nice well comfortable home in a lovely setting

Location very easy to find. Very well decorated and furnished cottage . Owner must have spent a lot of money on decor. Comfortable bed with good quality bedding. Outside is a small lake with bird life.

No kettle. No curtains or obscuration on any of the windows. Better bring a dressing gown 😁

Only a small thing , no big deal , The bedroom could do with blinds in the windows , very bright in the morning for someone used to sleeping in dark rooms

Has all mod cons one might want, place is really fresh and well presented, very peaceful and quiet location perfect to run away from the city

Only missing thing is some curtains for privacy, I haven't even noticed that but my girlfriend and her eagle eyes did
