Huntsbury Hideaway

The property was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect and the view from the deck sensational. I would stay here again.

We loved everything about this gorgeous property. It was new, modern and soo comfortable. It had amazing views of Christchurch and was so easy to get to.

The ambience of the cottage makes for a special hideaway occassion.

Huntsbury hideaway was a great little property. Super clean, with a beautiful decor to match. It was very comfortable and the beds were very comfortable too. Amazing view of the city lights at night!

I’d read another review regarding the path down to the cottage and we tend to agree. It’s really hard to manage heavy suitcases down a gravel and paver path. We had to end up carrying them which wasn’t ideal. Also maybe a suggestion of another place to eat inside, like a little compact breakfast table for 4 guests. We only were a group of three but found it quite squishy at the bar with things on the counter.

The communications were easy and check in also. The cottage was a smart home so the temperature was just right inside. It had high quality finishes throughout that made it feel like a good hotel, and everything you needed for your stay. The beds were very comfortable toi. We were staying over new year's eve, and as it had an impressive view over the city we had the added bonus of watching the fireworks which was fun. An enjoyable, very comfortable stay.

What a beautiful place to stay, it was comfortable, perfectly clean and like a little retreat in the suburbs on the hill. Surrounded by a lovely garden with fruit trees and flowers. Gorgeous views of the city. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations!

The views

Mostly well appointed, but the bed pillows are seriously over-stuffed. Difficult to get a good night's sleep without getting a stiff neck. Disappointing to see an otherwise well-presented property let down by such a small item.

Very beautiful and spacious homestay rental! We loved how it was very modern and clean and the view was also amazing. We enjoyed hanging out on the porch, also the door opens up where we also enjoyed the view from the couch inside. The kitchen was fantastic and also beautifully designed, it had everything that we needed. It was so comfortable and perfect for our short little stay in Christchurch.

Beautiful views. Nice cottage

Getting bags to and throw from cottage was very challenging. Older couples would find hard as lots of carrying of bags especially where ground is slabs and cobble stones. With steep incline when leaving You definitely need your own car as out of town and no where you can just walk to for coffee ect

Fabulous stay at the Huntsbury Hideaway. The decor, view and cleanliness was 10/10. It had everything we needed and more for our two night stay. Absolutely beautiful!

Maybe they purposefully don't have a picture of the view so you can be absolutely blown away when you get there. What an amazing place :) The views, the location (about 10-15min drive to Sign of the Kiwi cafe - highly recommend this place for breakfast/lunch after doing a nearby hike), the design of the space, the beautiful bathroom products, comfy beds, Netflix. I will definitely be back :)

Have no faults

The views were amazing!! And the beds were really well made up, so comfortable and very warm. The decor was cozy and inviting. Lovely to see eco soaps and stuff in the bathroom and kitchen.

There were only 3 chairs in the dining area but there were 4 of us - since we mostly cooked/ate in this was a bit tricky but didn't take away from the overall experience so far.
