Reviewed May 10, 2026The house was very nice, after staying in motels for a week was so nice to unpack and relax for a few days while we saw more of the amazing places near by.
We did have problem re locking key lock box but eventually worked out a way to do it.
Did contact owner but what they said to do still didnt work, luky stumbled on another way to do it as we were leaving .
Also being new to booking houses i didnt know there was a cleaning fee on top of hire so would be good if this was included costs and price on booking.com .
But otherwise was a fantastic place to stay

it looks like it's been remodelled recently. Everything looks new. The space was very roomy. Most things work nicely.
I was surprised to find there were no bowls in the kitchen.
The curtains don't seem to work well.

Reviewed Apr 30, 2026Looks can be deceiving - very plain from the outside but inside it had everything you needed and in great condition. Comfortable beds, spacious lounge and very clean.
Weitestgehend sauber, modern und funktionsfähig
Es roch leider extrem nach Fisch. Trotz gekauften Lufterfrischern haben wir den unangenehmen Geruch in 3 Tagen nicht beseitigen können.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr ungemütlich, vor allem die Aussicht auf einen grauen Wellblechzaun ist deprimierend.

The area was quiet.
Good facilities
The location was horrible. It was in a newish estate, but not many people lived there.
The house was of poor quality, even if it was new. No garden, only grass and gravel.
There was no furnitures in the house except a grey sofa and sofa table and 2 tall chairs at the kitchen bench. The beds weren't good. It wouldn't be suitable for more than 2 people, despite it has 3 bedrooms.
It totally lacked atmosphere and was like a ghost house.

Reviewed Feb 11, 2026Die Unterkunft ist grosszügig, modern und sehr praktisch eingerichtet. Sie bietet alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt von einigen Tagen braucht. Der Preis stimmt.
Die Einrichtung ist ganz in Schwarz und Grau gehalten und sehr nüchtern. Es war zeitweise recht kühl im Haus.

Reviewed Dec 10, 2025Das Apartment war ideal für uns. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Kommunikation mit der Vermietung war ausgezeichnet.

Het huis was groot en van alle gemakken voorzien. Grote keuken, mooie slaapkamers en goede bedden. Ook een buitenterras aanwezig.
Het huis oogde erg ongezellig. Er hing niets aan de muur. Eten kon alleen maar aan de bar in de keuken, omdat er geen tafel met stoelen aanwezig was. Wij hebben de tuintafel maar naar binnen gehaald om aan te eten. Om het hele huis staan hoge ijzeren schuttingen.

Not enough plates, and cups.
Needed more as only one set of 4 provided.
Made using Dish washer not economical.

Reviewed Oct 31, 2025El alojamiento era muy espacioso y luminoso. Las camas eran grandes y estaba bien ubicado para visitar la zona de lake Tekapo y mount cook.
No habían limpiado la casa, se veían pelos en los baños. Los utensilios de cocina eran escasos.

The gravel entrance and the locked doors going into unknown area that appeared to be accommodation.. there was no lock for us to use to safely separate that area. We were afraid of the unknown.

Reviewed Apr 30, 2025Very nice property. Absolutely massive. There were only two of us and it was far bigger than we needed. Really nice kitchen which was well equipped. Nice and warm.
Our only concern was that the property wasn’t spotlessly clean. The kitchen was very clean however there was quite a lot of dust for example on skirting boards, and on bedside tables. The glass doors in the lounge had a lot of finger prints on them and there was a piece of rubbish underneath the TV bench. However, toilets and showers etc. were spotless.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2025Very tidy clean spacious accomodation. Twizel has a lot to offer- restaurants and cafes close by, and lake Ruataniwha is lovely. Being between Tekapo and Mount Cook gives easy access to tourist areas and walks.
Not a major, as it’s clean and comfortable, but it’s the most “ no frills” property we’ve ever stayed at 😅The bare minimum has been put into it.
Gravel driveway, nothing planted in the garden, and zero decorative features inside. Just beds which were a bit small for 2 people and not very comfortable, a large couch and an outside table and chairs. It has a kitchen bench with stools for 4 people to eat at, but no dining table for bigger groups inside the house. Ok for a couple of nights but would not have wanted to stay longer as it didn’t have very welcoming feel

Reviewed Apr 20, 2025House is located in a very quiet neighborhood, which we greatly appreciated. The kitchen was beautiful and very modern and had all necessary appliances to cook decent meals. All the rooms in the house were very clean and very well looked-after. Supermarket is just a 5 mins drive away by car. Parking is available right in front of the house. Beds were very comfortable (which for us means not soft but quite firm). Great location to stay if you want to visit Mt. Cook area, and also cheaper than staying at Mt. Cook village! Would absolutely stay there again.
Honestly nothing comes to mind, we had a great time!
Location great quiet street very spacious 2 bathrooms was fabulous free WiFi bonus
Only gripe would be no umbrella for sitting outside and no barbecue
