I really loved the overall vibe of Madpackers Udaipur. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and it was a great place to meet new people and make friends. I stayed for 3 days and genuinely enjoyed the experience. It felt comfortable, fun, and perfect for solo travellers. ❤️

The mattress and the common area

The location of the property was excellent, it is close to all the trending cafes you are seeing on reels and close to the old city as well. Staff was very well behaved. Overall I liked the stay at madpackers

The location was pretty great, there is a small ghat right in front of the building, and it was in general quite close to everything in the old town. Getting to it was smooth too. It is great only if you're going to use the place to crash after exploring the city, but that's all.

There is no lift, so if you have luggage, may your quads be strong. The cafe upstairs is priced quite oddly, is closed half the time, and takes a lot of time to prepare even the smallest of things. Lower rooms stink a bit of mold/dampness. We booked a lakeview room, so a higher priced one, and there was no glasses or kettle in the room. Every floor had a water dispenser apart from ours.

Great Stay Had a really good experience at Madpackers! The location is perfect and very convenient. The staff was friendly, helpful, and went beyond what was required to make our stay comfortable. We were sick during our stay, and they were really helpful and supportive whenever we needed anything. Overall, a great place to stay with a helpful team. Would definitely recommend! ❤️

Shitty roomes no light they took money upfront then refused to refund. Booking and madpackers team both kept saying other team will refund don't fall for these scam don't pay upfront without looking rooms in person.

Cleaning can be improved a lot. Internet facilities can be improved. Water dispensers are not every floor, have to travel one floor just to fill water bottle. Food in cafe was expensive.

The rooftop is my favorite spot; you get such a beautiful view of the city, especially at sunset. The staff here are super friendly and always ready to help. They also organize activities that make it easy to meet other travelers, which I really enjoyed. The rooms and common areas are clean and well-maintained, and the vibe is exactly what you expect from a backpacker hostel—warm, social, and relaxed. If you’re in Udaipur and looking for a place that combines comfort, fun, and great people, Madpackers is definitely the place to be!

Madpackers Udaipur has one of the best common areas I’ve seen in a hostel. It’s bright, spacious, and perfect for meeting other travelers or just relaxing with a book. The rooftop is a huge bonus—you can chill with a chai while enjoying the city view. The vibe here is so easygoing that you end up making friends without even trying. Definitely a great place to stay if you love a social atmosphere.

Excellent stay

Good vibes. Very friendly staff. Made me feel like I'm at home. The reception guys are very chill. The owner is also very kind and understands what everyone needs. It has one of the best rooftops in Udaipur which is always open. Overall I made friends here for lifetime which is the best thing someone can ask for.

Lagerfeuer auf der Dachterrasse, nette Leute, Common-Area und insbesondere das Zimmer mit Seeblick. Es war hell, warm und hatte einen schönen Erker.

Das Zimmer zur anderen Seite war dunkel, kalt und nicht ganz so gemütlich. Die Dusche war immer nur für 20 Sekunden heiß und dann wurde sie kalt.

The rooftop of this place captures the serenity of Lake Pichola and Majestic City Palace. The management feels like home. The dorms beds are mire comfy than your regular beds. I would highly recommend this place.

Incredible view from the roof terrace, good social vibe facilitated by the staff. Nice peaceful location in Udaipur, away from the chaos but still only a short walk from the old town. Stayed here for diwali and they put on a great celebration

The property’s location is excellent. It is very close to all the major attractions and itself located next to one of the most famous ghats and restaurants of Udaipur. Room was spacious with a proper king size bed. The events were good and regularly organized

It was definitely not value for money. 7200 for 3 days. The view outside the room’s window was awful. Fan regulator was broken. Rooms were giving a rainy/soggy smell. i chose a private deluxe room.

הצוות היה מקסים וגרם לי להרגיש כמו בבית בהתחלה הייתי בדורמס מעורבים שהיו מאוד מלוכלכים בצ׳ק אין ואז העבירו אותי לדורמס בנות שהיו יותר טובים

הגמישות, נאלצתי לישון בספה של הגג עד הצ׳ק אין למרות שהמיטה כבר הייתה מוכנה הווי פי בחדר לא חזק והיו הרבה פעמים שלא הייתה לי קליטה או ויי פיי אין מעלית.
