Stayed at this hostel near Kashi Vishwanath Temple and honestly, the location is the biggest plus. You can just walk to the temple and nearby ghats, which makes everything super convenient. The place itself is simple, clean, and comfortable—nothing fancy, but it has everything you need for a good stay. Also, shoutout to Yash from the staff. Really genuine and helpful guy. He made sure everything was sorted and was always easy to talk to, which made the whole experience better. Overall, a nice, no-fuss place to stay if you’re visiting Varanasi. Would definitely recommend

Overall, I would describe my stay as decent, but not quite matching the overwhelmingly positive reviews this property has received. - One of the biggest pluses has to be the location of the property. It was, let's say, at a walking distance from Assi Ghat and the rest of the attractions could be easily reached as well. - The staff at the property also seemed polite and helpful for the most part. Since I didn't really have any special requests, so I do not know whether they would have been entertained, had that been the case. - No major complaints on the cleanliness part, although one minor gripe, now that depends on how you look at it, could be that the bed sheets were not changed on a daily basis, at least for the duration that I stayed there. Which is a standard practice usually. So you can make whatever you will of this. - My overall experience staying at this property, though, was still not that bad. Met some good people there, interacted with them, explored around. So all in all, a pleasant experience.

- I stayed in a 10-bed dorm, and the space felt a bit cramped. With all the beds occupied, it could get crowded at times. - The dorm wasn't particularly airy, I mean there was a door that opened into the balcony but that was shut for some reason, which sometimes made it feel stuffy. - One of the biggest bummers for me was the fact that there were common washrooms (contrary to what is mentioned on the website), a couple of them, for 3 dorms if I remember correctly. And there were some 25+ people using them, it often became inconvenient during peak hours. - There were no mirrors inside the dorm or the washroom for that matter. So you had to step out into the hall every time you needed one. Talk about inconvenience. - The in-house cafeteria seemed quite limited in terms of options, so I ended up eating outside most of the time.

It's was very good staying with Moustache, we have fun the environment was good, food was very good. Highly rated.

The hostel is conveniently located near Assi ghat. My friend and I stayed in the female dorm. The dormitory was kept clean and so was the washroom. They have a cafe on the terrace, which is also the common area, and they have quite a lot of food options. The staff is helpful. I had a very good sleep on my bed in the dorm. It was cozy and comfortable. The AC kept the room cool.

The only problem I had was with the smoking in the common area. Smoking shouldn't be allowed there and they should actually make a separate space, maybe on the terrace for the smokers, so that non-smokers can sit comfortably in the cafe. Unfortunately, people have lost empathy for others and especially smokers don't understand how difficult it is for non-smokers to breathe around them. So making rules becomes mandatory. A separate space on the terrace far away from the common area will be the best option.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is perfect, next to Assi ghat and surrounded by cafes and places to eat. I had the only private room in the hostel with my own bathroom which was comfortable and clean. As a 70 year old solo woman traveler it was perfect! It was an interesting place for me to stay as I had the chance to meet a lot of people. The staff were very helpful, helping with my bags, changing money, organising a taxi to airport etc. I would recommend a stay here.

The cafe wasn't great. The food was just ok, and the guys who worked in the cafe had little English which made ordering difficult. But don't be put off by this, there's a cafe called Little Sparrow 3 mins away with excellent coffee and food.

The hostel is very nice for meeting new people from all around the world… and the stuff was very friendly and helpful for everything.

Property comes with a brand name, but it has not been maintained like one.

Bathrooms are not clean enough, there is no lift, my dorm was on 3rd floor. Close to the common room where they play loud music the whole time and you can hear that inside the dorm. Vibe of the hostel is also not very touristy, you see a bunch ot dudes drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes in the common room, literally feels like a dirty common room of a local college. And lastly i found the hostel overpriced just for the namesake of moustache but hostel is nothing like other moustache hostel, best to avoid this hostel for a better experience in Varanasi.

The staff, the vibe, management was amazing. For us it was. Prime location as it was very near to assi ghat and we use to walk to the ghat twice or thrice a day. How to forget the amazing paneer fried rice on the terrace cafe

Those who coming to visit Varanasi, This hostel is a very idle place and with a good location to stay. The property offers a in-house cafe/kitchen where you can buy/order anything available on the menu! It also has this lofy vibe terrace where you can chill and relax! All the staff and the owner are really of great help and were exceptionally well.

The location is spot-on right in the heart of the action near the ghats and main attractions, making it super convenient for exploring Varanasi on foot or hopping on a quick auto to the Ganges.

cleanliness was a major letdown and overshadowed everything else. The toilets were filthy and constantly smelly, with poor maintenance that made daily use a chore. The dorms had a persistent stink too the rooms reeked the whole time, like dampness mixed with unwashed linens, which made it hard to relax or sleep well.

The hotel needs to be more transparent about the shared rooms. In my case, I booked a bed in a four-bed room, expecting to share it with a small group (a maximum of four people). However, the hotel rents each bed to more than one person, so in the end there were seven people in a very small room. If you plan to book this place, please be aware that the number of guests can be double the number of beds. On the other hand, there are only two showers and toilets for each floor of the hostel, so they are almost always busy and dirty. The Wi-Fi does not work well. In addition, the shared spaces have very loud music, making it impossible to relax. Finally, the place is full of mosquitoes everywhere, even in the bathrooms, which was quite uncomfortable.

Positives:😁 1.Best stay for backpackers. 2.Affordable rates. 3.Good for solo travellers. 4.Lockers were provided to the guests which is good but also your things will be safe not to worry much! 5. Good place for workations. PS: I personally have left my phone chargers wallet and some cash as well as is on bed and those were not even flinched it was as is till I returned to my bed! That's the discipline this place holds.

Also kuch drawbacks bhi hei 😖 kaash inko suggestions jaise lelo complaints nahi.... 1.Work on providing hot water for showers properly all time I was there for 3 complete days but not even one day got hot water for bathing. 2. Provide proper blankets to all. Please stock things uniform like matching spread pillow and sheets which will enhance your look also gives the sense of luxury. The one which was given to me was not that good in condition also it was not warm enough for that temperature of banaras during winters 3. Regarding your cafe it's fantastic food was amazing but I literally want you guys to work on pricing and quantity balance.... This requires utmost care I would say. Because few food I been served in abundance for min pricing and few were not even close enough in quantity for the price. So this will create a bad impression because you reach people heart via food it's the easiest also the difficult path so better work on it. 4. And a personal request is that try hosting a quick intro session during evening chai time let whoever in hostel interested let them join. I request this because I'm a super introvert until someone initiates the convo so this step will help people like me to socialize and also will be like a cherry on top of the cake for your hostel hospitality it's a win win for both of us😉 That's all for now baad mei likhuga haath mei dard hora hei! ☹️ Haan bhul gaya - hamara hero saab Sunil ko achi rating dethi hu hame kyun ki inko patha hei kaise customers ko handle karna aur kaise things ko ufi karna like if you cannot do it or its not possible change the mood make customer forget what they asked for and live comfortably with what they were given.... Had a wonderful stay at Moustache Varanasi. All the staffs at the hostel were very welcoming and offered great hospitality. Shoutout to Yash for providing great tips about exploring the city and for his hospitality. The vibe and the whole mood at the hostel is very positive.

If you are a solo traveller coming to banaras & wanna enjoy a hostel stay... Come here. It was my first such experience and it was just wonderful. To meet people in the open terreace area... Sharing experiences... Joyful one. Most important is dont miss the simple but just lovely lunch and dinner from their kitchen... It was just yum...

What i liked - Property is good and terrace is pretty big.

What i didnt liked- a lot of things. First of all the staff behaviour. They were uncooperative and unsupportive. Secondly, there was construction going on from 10am to 5pm which they didnt tell me about over the phone before booking. And there are a lot of points but anyway…. Its an over hyped and overrated hostel. One should check other hostels in the vicinity i thin, where you get the warm welcome and nice people.
