We loved our stay at the hotel. Since it was the lean season, we had the entire place to ourselves, which made the experience even more special. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the TV came with Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. Tita Ofel and Tito Robert took wonderful care of us throughout our stay. They gave us comprehensive tours around Batanes, introduced us to many warm and friendly locals, and even treated us to a memorable stargazing experience at their private view deck.

Honestly, none. The hotel itself was amazing, and its location in Ivana made us feel very safe throughout our stay. As one of the safest places in the Philippines, Ivana allowed us to walk around even at night with complete peace of mind. We also enjoyed spending time at the hotel, especially since the TV had all our favourite streaming apps, including Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube.

My stay at Siayanrock Hometel was truly heartwarming. Ate Ofel and Kuya Robert go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome and well cared for. The room comes with a private balcony overlooking the sea—a perfect spot for stargazing at night or simply relaxing and taking in the view. You can hear the soothing sound of the waves from the room, as the beach is just a short walk away. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with air conditioning, as well as a hot and cold shower. Guests can also enjoy complimentary coffee in the shared kitchen. If you’re looking to escape the crowds and experience the peaceful charm, warmth, and beauty of Batanes, I highly recommend staying here. Siayamrock Hometel offers not just a place to stay, but a genuine Batanes experience.

I like everything about this homestay — the location, the vibes, and the warm hosts. There is unique charm in experiencing Batanes like a local.. even more being hosted by local Ivatans. Our hosts Kuya Robert and Ate Ofel took care of us like a family and were always ready to assist us in our needs.

I like that the hotel is located in a very quiet location right next to the oldest house that every tourist wants to see.

The room is super clean, spacious and well managed also it has a private bathroom. We stayed with free breakfast but anytime you can request to cook your favorite food just ask Mam Ofel the best cook ever, her food is super delicious. They also offer FREE bicycle along the area just for you to stroll around the location if you don’t want to walk.

Our room was very clean and neat as well as the whole hometel. Location was walking distance to Honesty Store, House of Dakay, St Joseph Church, sea port going to Sabtang and the whole neighborhood was very welcoming. The place was very peaceful and relaxing. Best location for it was the center going to North Batan-Basco and South Batan.

The owners are very welcoming and extend extra hand and effort to make the most of our stay. Specially thankful to Sir Robert for letting us stay at his other “secret” viewdeck. It was one of the most peaceful and beatiful place to relax and have coffee. He was very knowledgable about the history of his place and ancestor.

Kuya Robert and Tita Fel were amazing hosts. Ivana is the perfect quiet getaway to get away from busy Basco. I can't recommend them more. They provided great friendship and conversation, helped me plan my travels and helped book my room for my stay on Sabtang, dropping me off and picking me up from the pier to catch the boat and providing endless invaluable tips, advice, and knowledge on the Ivatan culture and history of the Batanes Islands. The building is so nice and clean, with nice common spaces as well. The room was spacious with a balcony peeking at the ocean, strong A/C and a clean very nice bathroom (with a shower curtain!!! you never see that in the Philippines). Thank you so much for welcoming me into your space. If I ever return to Batanes, there's nowhere else I could possibly stay than Siayanrock :)

Everything. The location although it is 14 km from Basco but the view from Basco going to Ivana is beautiful. Kuya Robert and Ate Ofel and the rest of staff are wonderful. Food is homecook and delicious. Plus they have private view deck that is perfect while drinking coffee, watching sunset and stargazing. I never give a perfect rate to reviews but this deserves more than a perfect score. If I will go back to Batanes, I will choose to stay here again at Siayanrock. I will definitely recommend this to my friends.

Siayanrock Hometel was the “home away from home”. The hosts, Robert and Ofel went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable yet relaxing as possible. Our guides and Robert were keen to share Ivatan culture and history and how resilient the Ivatan people are in times of typhoons, lack of shipments from the mainland, lack of digital communication and transport. Robert kept abreast of the weather and recommended the best day and times to go to the different tours. A treat was a visit to their hideaway viewpoint available only to their guests. The location in Ivana was away from Basco so it was more quiet and a good central location for tours. They took care of everything so all we had to do was enjoy “Breathtaking Batanes” and take in the beautiful seascapes and landscapes.

The location is exceptional; Ivana town will give you the serenity that every travellers is looking for and enjoy the most. The owner will treat you as a family and offer the best during your stay. They will let you see the ocean view of Batanes thru the viewdeck that is exclusive for Siayanrock guests. They even give free bike ride, free transport from airport to hometel (vice versa) and even to sabtang port.

I cannot say enough wonderful things not only about this hotel and the owners, Robert and Ofel, but also about Batanes as a whole. Batanes is full of warm, welcoming, kind, and honest people. It is so refreshing to be in a community with zero crime where they leave their belongings out at night and don't lock their doors. Everyone says hello and even the kids are respectful. The islands were beautiful. Ofel and Robert will arrange trips all around and also to Sabtang. They also transfer you to and from the airport for free. Ofel cooks three meals a day and there was no additional charge; it felt like being with family. Honestly, don't stay anywhere else! I'm a digital nomad and I needed to work; the wifi signal didn't quite reach my room but I worked at the table in the multipurpose room without issues.

There is absolutely nothing not to like about this hotel or the island. I'm in love. I want to live there forever!

My girlfriend and I had an unforgettable holiday here. The hotel provides free airport pick-up and drop-off service; atr and kuya is friendly; the room is very clean; the food is very delicious; and it is a great value for money. I recommend you stay here in this beautiful island.

The place is newly built so it’s very clean. WiFi access was very strong. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very clean with fully functioning heated shower. The owners, Robert and Ofel, were excellent hosts. We were treated not like guests but more like family. On our second day, Robert took us to his private view deck for a sunset coffee. I really felt a personal connection with them during our stay. In terms of Batanes, it’s a small island that is very clean and very pristine. The people are all friendly, honest and very disciplined. In my 4 day stay, I quickly fell in love with the people and the place. It would have been a perfect retirement place if outsiders were welcomed. By that I learned, tourists are always welcome but you can only acquire properties there if you’re a native Ibatan or married to one. Overall, I would rate my stay there 5 stars. I will definitely plan to come back for a longer stay and Siayanrock will be on top of the list.

We had a wonderful stay at Siayanrock Hometel. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, and the place was spotless and well-maintained. It’s the ideal location in Batanes, especially if you plan to visit Sabtang Island, as it’s close to the port and much quieter than North Batan. We loved their private view deck (a 10 minute drive from the hometel), where we enjoyed scenic breakfasts and sunsets with coffee. I also appreciated the good Wi-Fi, which allowed me to sneak in some work during the quiet evenings. Loved that they had bicycles for us to use, for free. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely return on our next visit.

The Location and the Locals in the community.

Nothing not to like!! But would like to suggest to add a more unique experience by having personal food choices and be able to buy and cook local fresh produce from the neighbouring market stalls and be able to cook or learn native/traditional foods in the area.

The owner, his wife, family and cook were gracious hosts attentive to every imaginable need. Above and beyond service standards. Robert meticulously built his Hometel with the guest’s comfort in mind. It truly is a “home” away from home. Robert is passionate about sharing Ivatan culture and history. The hometel has a separate view deck in a nearby area where you can see Sabtang and the historic safe port. This area hosts migratory birds too. Thank you for allowing me to be experience everything Ivatan. What a holiday filled with fishing, hiking, mussel digging, octopus hunting, biking and many more stories of Ivatan history. Free bikes are available at this property. The beach is right across the street. Food requests are obliged.

the room was so clean and spacious the bathroom is also clean and with hot shower the food was very tasty and delicious the location is very near the tourist spot also when you dont have a tour for the day you can go on swimming anytime, go biking and watch sunset . the host is so warm very accommodating the couple are so kind. the town the neighborhood are also very friendly no noise no disturbance or whatsoever you can have a good sleep
