The bird life.

The property is spacious, the gardens lovely, lots of outside space and the hosts are helpful and kind.

When Tulbagh is hot it’s really hot so the property was roasting, it really needs ceiling fans or a/c

The accommodation was adequate and met our basic needs. It was comfortable and suitable for a short stay.

The accommodation could be improved by providing a braai bak, air-conditioning, and mosquito wall plugs. An iron and ironing board should be placed in the unit so guests do not have to request one. Guests should also be advised to bring their own shower gel. During the summer months, flat sheets should be provided and readily available for added comfort.

The place was nice and cosy. Overall service was very accommodating

No tv facilities and the fact the shower doesn’t close Can do an upgrade on exterior building and interior but overall everything was up to standard.

Very friendly & helpful owners. Comfortable cottage with everything one needs for a pleasant stay . Quiet neighbourhood on the edge of the town.

Lovely and well designed self contained accommodation, three different outside spaces and a very comfortable bed with good quality linens. Close to lovely Tulbarg. Beautiful scenery and surroundings.

There was an issue with the water supply when we were there but I am sure this will be resolved. The barking dog could sleep more!

I was very impressed with the owners helpfulness and friendliness. My husband has emphysema and on the day we arrived Tulbagh did not have electricity for the whole day and night. They went out of their way to make sure we had access to an inverter to enable us to use the nebuliser for him.

Spacious, thoughtfully well equipped accommodation just north of the town in a beautifully quiet and serene location. We loved the different outside spaces to relax after a day out and about. We really enjoyed exploring the town of Tulbagh and would highly recommend it.

Roomy, comfortable and private.

Nice and quiet cottage for a short stay. All essential equipment is available. Tulbagh and surroundings is worthwhile a visit of one or two days.

The cottage is pretty dark inside. An extra lamp above the stove in the kitchen and above the mirror in the bathroom would help a lot.

Very clean. Very practical outline of the apartment. We had all we needed. The outside area was very nice. The location is also great. Near the Murludi trail, near some very beautiful mountain views. Host responded within seconds.

The roof makes a lot of noise. The apartment is better for 2 people than for 3, because the bathroom is in the bedroom.

We were really surprised when we saw the property. It exceeded our expectations. The host sent us a message the morning of arrival with a location and asked what time we wanted to check-in. Upon arrival, we were met at the gate. It is a lovely property and we would love to go back and spend more time there. Thank you, Elsabe & Rohan

Beautiful cottages with lovely furnishings. The host was amazing and made special plans to accommodate our kids. The surrounding area and views are beautiful!

Accommodation provided everything we expected. The hosts were amazing with their information they gave us. Situated in a beautiful valley through which we cycled.

The weather!

The sound of the animals surrounding the house, a quiet road that's ideal for a morning walk and it's only 5min away from Tulbagh. The host thought about small things you might forget when heading away for a weekend, such as oil, pepper and salt. The rusks she left were great and being supplied with some firewood was a nice extra

The wifi was quite slow, which isn't a problem if you are breaking away, but makes it a bit difficult if you still have some work that you want to do while you are there. There are two units on the premises that share the same wall. If you are there while the other unit is booked, you are very aware of the other people as you can hear their voices when they speak

The place was clean and beautiful, close attention was paid to the little details, stunning Mountain View’s. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning. The pictures do not do a lot of justice as the place is so much more beautiful.

The fact that it is located a bit out of town and surrounded by farms, where you hear horses, ducks, chickens ect.

Consider providing an electric blanket for the cold winter nights

We LOVED hearing all the birds and farm animals in the neighberhood. It was not bothersome but added to the feeling of peacefulness and calm. Our cottage entered from the back which means the patio was private and not visible from the road. Every single possible need for a nights' stay was catered for. We were more than pleasently surprised. The owners were very friendly and helpful and honestly we feel this is value for money. Squeeky clean! Super linen - thank you SO much! We will definately be back!

Lovely and comfortable cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The room, kitchen/living area, and bathroom are big and comfortable. The place is very clean. Loved having a cup of coffee on the stoep as the sun came up. Was very peaceful and tranquil. People are friendly and make you feel at home. I will recommend a stay at Peacock Guesthouse.

The cottage was perfect. It had everything we needed plus it was immaculate and tidy. We really loved it. We also liked the location, we loved hearing the ducks and chickens close by. We would love to return one day. Thank you.

My husband would have liked a light near the braai and tongs he could use to move the hot coals with.

It has everything you need, it's clean, roomy, well located and felt safe. Owners are very nice and helpful ! Provided with extra fans, and everything we wanted. Bring your bike with you or rent one :)

Minor thing: sounds at night (you can hear some of the nature around you or neighbour).

Stunning location, most comfortable bed we have slept in. Immaculately clean, well equipped kitchen. Thoughtful anti-loadshedding devices battery powered fan lasts 10 hours, gas kettle, light. Treats, ice cubes and milk a welcome extra. Lovely outside patio to watch the birds & enjoy the view.

Nothing we did not enjoy, the noisy birds reminds us we are in the heart of the country. The roof creaks at night & low water pressure (if we had to mention anything)

It had everything we needed and more, even a chargeable fan for loadshedding! The lady who welcomed us was so kind and generous. Would highly recommend this place!

A lovely clean accommodation with the most beautiful mountain views. This is a great guesthouse to stay in as its really close to many fantastic wine estates. Very friendly owners who gladly shared there local knowledge with us about good restaurants etc to go to

The peaceful setting and clever design of the unit. The fact that you could have a braai, or just cook a meal on the gas stove.

Breakfast was not on offer, Tea, coffee, sugar and lovely rusks were provided. Also milk and water in the refrigerator.

All good. The peacocks and roosters were noisy but added to the country feel which I enjoyed.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting the Tulbagh area.

Excellent value for money, very clean, well appointed, country village location,quiet.

Bit noisy at night,dogs,chickens,peacocks. But that's the country life.

Very clean and tranquil place away from the hustle and bustle, but not far from the centre of town. Friendly host and always helpful. Surrounded by wine cellars where you and do wine tasting, olive tasting and dining.
