It was the perfect overnight stop over on Kgalagadi Park to Cape Town journey and Alicia's welcome and service on all fronts was exceptional and we look forward to returning on our next trip.

The lights on the local sports field were not switched off during the night

It was spacious and well stocked with towels, soap, bottled water, etc.

When we arrived, someone was already waiting for us. No struggle to get in! They gave us a lovely braai pack - all the equipment you could need for a braai and no need for us to unpack the car looking for our equipment. They give you the option of a restaurant too. Facilities were clean and functional. The rooms were lovely and tastefully decorated. Staff and owner were friendly and available but we were given our privacy too. The location is perfect. I would definitely stay there again!

Mosquitoes - but that is the area and they did have nets on the windows. We left the door open (our mistake) but once I used Peaceful Sleep, it was fine.

Ein unglaublich toller Aufenthalt an diesem perfekten Ort! Wer eine wunderschöne, komfortable, moderne, neuwertige und exclusive Unterkunft sucht, wird hier fündig werden. Wir hätten nicht mit so einem Juwel hier mitten im Nirgendwo gerechnet. Schon der Empfang von George gibt einem ein sehr willkommenes Gefühl. George managt alles und kümmert sich um alle Belange der Gäste und das macht er unfassbar toll. Er ist ein absoluter Schatz. Nicht nur, dass er sich um jeden Wunsch kümmert, er ist ein wirklich netter Kerl und seine herzliche Art macht die Übernachtung zu einem perfekten Komplettpaket. Vielen Dank für alles! Aber auch der Eigentümer Gerhard und seine Frau haben uns viele nützliche Informationen gegeben.

Steenbok was a welcome rest for our long drive. Hosts Yvette, Gerhardt and George were really friendly and helpful and the space to braai was relaxing. Our self catering room was well stocked and very comfortable.

Steenbok is a perfect place to sleep over coming from Cape Town on the way to the Kgalagadi. A real oasis.

Steenbok cottages is the perfect overnight stay en route or back between Cape Town and the Kgalagadi. George and Jeandre were fantastic hosts and our every need was met. A braai box was supplied and we were able to purchase meat, ice and wood. The rooms were beautifully decorated spacious and very clean. So many small touches added to the comfort of our stay.

Great personal service. Perfectly positioned for a halfway stop from WCape to the Kalahari.

Clean, modern facility. Helpful friendly staff, everything in the room worked. Good secure parking in a gated yard for a motorcycle.

Excellent service by George. Modern and fully equiped. Good location.

Extremely friendly knowledgeable and accommodating host and staff. Gerhard was a mine of useful information/ where to find the best lamb chops, best oranges and naartjies. They lit big boma fires at each apartment and an additional kitchen / dining area with any facility you can want. Also had a lovely lounge area that was tastefully furnished where one could chill and relax.

Excellent stay at this perfect spot, providing us with much needed comfort & sanctuary breaking up a very long journey. We were met by manager, George, who is an absolute gem. Having been travelling for several weeks, staying in various accommodations , we were struck by how George stands out - his warm smile, sincerity and generosity goes above and beyond. Many thanks for overnight our last minute stay so comfortable and enjoyable.

Steenbok is a little piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere! After a long day of travelling it was just amazing to walk into a stunning clean modern room with everything you need. The host was exteremly accommodating. I would definitely be back again!

Absolutely fantastic guest house! The owner was very helpful and welcoming, and the facilities and décor are truly 5-star. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Don’t let Google Street View of Brandvlei put you off, this place is a real gem in Brandvlei, which is developing and set in the beautiful Kalahari. I travel between Cape Town and Kathu often, and this will be my go-to midway stop every time! Traveling between Cape Town and Kathu, this will be my midway stop everytime!

The facility is easily accessible and Brandvlei is a convenient halfway stop for travels from the Western Cape To the Kalahari. The owner's contact prior to our arrival and reception upon arrival was excellent. The unit we stayed in was tastefully furnished with all amenities for our one night stay.

Heavy vehicle movement on the road was somewhat annoying.

I have been traveling a lot but the owner made time for us. Gerhard, the way you run your guesthouse is far above your best. If I could give you 200 out of 10, I would. Well done and thank you for exceptional service

Location is next to main road which can be noisy. There was an outside light on patio which we could not switch off which disturb our sleep little bit.

Superneat,modern and comfortable facility. Can recommend it to anyone that stay in Brandvlei. The Windpomp restaurant was nearby.Had a pleasant meal but take you're own wine. Will stay there again when visiting Brandvlei

Beautiful self catering unit with lovely stoep and braai facility, modern and clean, great location, staff on-site all 24hrs to assist if needed and safe secure parking. They also made our dinner reservation at local restaurant. The owner Gerhard also went to the extra mile to arrange courier for us to ensure our items left behind were sent to us, and he even paid for it! Fantastic client service.

Easy-to-find location right next to the main road. Our host, George, was waiting for us and had everything ready, including our amazing room. The room had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable!

Location was great for us. It was close to the main road but it did not disturb us. Security and safety 100%. George was on hand to answer or assist us. The room was very modern, clean and had everything you need , and more. They have anticipated your every need. The bed was super comfy. Braii area looked great, but we ate out at the local Windpump restaurant.
