100% aanrader
This is the real B&B experience. Jimmy and Louise make you feel right at home. The room was very cosy and the home cooked breakfast menu is top notch. We also got some tips for local sightseeing!
The space is absolutely idyllic. Gorgeous lush gardens and a very comfortable homely feel to the house itself. Louise & Jimmy were so friendly and welcoming. The room itself was decorated beautifully and the bed was so comfortable. Fantastic breakfast options that included fresh homemade bread and scones. An overall wonderful 2night stay.
Everything was wonderful, no dislikes.
The accommodation was very cosy, personal and beautifully decorated. We had a lot of privacy, but we also enjoyed nice conversations in the garden and in the large kitchen. The breakfast was amazing. It was very generous, fresh and prepared with so much care. For us, the breakfast alone was worth the stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They gave us many good tips for the area and for things to do during our holiday.
Our stomachs were too small for the big breakfast 😋😉
Louise is wonderful with looking after anyone who stays, the rooms are very clean and well looked after, there is a lot of space all around and the views are incredible.
Nothing
Everything. The owner is so welcoming and very kind. The breakfast is super delicious, and we were very thankful for the vegan adaptation. We loved the animals that were all around the property. They made our stay more joyful. The garden and the rooms are beautiful and all very clean. The location is great too, easy to reach hiking and dining locations.
That we didn‘t stay longer.
Great place to stay near Wicklow mountains! Enough parking, lovely hosts and breakfast was absolutely fabulous! We left hoping that the rest of our trip's accommodations were half this good :-)
Everything !! Louise and Jim welcome you like a member of the family and you're made to feel instantly at home. Louise is a fabulous cook the homade scones, soda bread and jams were amazing. Breakfast was wonderful. The grounds with all the beautiful flowers and home are amazing. From the garden view from our windows or breakfast with Meg the fawn it was a highlight of our Ireland adventure. Will definitely visit on our next trip 😊
Can't think of one thing.
How do I even begin to describe this magical bed and breakfast? From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth that we instantly felt at home. The gardens were breathtaking, the breakfasts were delicious, and the conversations were superb. One morning, we had what can only be described as a "Snow White" moment: while we enjoyed breakfast, a fawn followed the host back for a bottle. It was straight out of a fairytale. The magic continued throughout our stay—there was the sweetest dog, a playful cat, a stunning white horse, chickens, ducks, and more. Every corner of the property seemed alive with charm and joy. As my husband put it, “I cannot imagine a place that is more perfect, while still having the peace and quiet you needed.” He even had the delight of joining Louise for a run on our last night, which was a highlight for him. We also loved the breakfasts with other guests. Our early morning chats with Louise created a sense of community and connection—you arrive as visitors, but you truly leave as friends. This isn’t just a place to stay. It’s an experience that blends beauty, hospitality, and serenity in a way that is unforgettable. We will carry the memories of this visit with us always, and we cannot recommend it highly enough.
There truly wasn’t a single thing to fault about our stay. Every detail, from the rooms to the gardens to the breakfasts, was carefully thought out and beautifully done. If anything, the hardest part was saying goodbye. We would have happily extended our stay to soak in more of the tranquility and warmth that made this place so special.
We had the pleasure of staying with Louise and Jimmy for three nights. We felt like part of the family within seconds of our arrival. The rooms, the garden, and the breakfast were all perfect—literally. The whole family, along with their animals, were the loveliest and most welcoming hosts. For the rest of our holiday, we kept catching ourselves saying, “Well, it isn’t Louise’s.”
Super nette Besitzer!
We loved the friendliness. We were made to feel right at home. The country setting w a horse, chickens, ducks, and a super cute baby fawn were all a wonderful bonus. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and our view of their garden was beautiful. Breakfast was also very good and our hosts were happy to help w dinner suggestions or travel recommendations.
I can’t tho k if anything.
Our lovely hosts we're secont to none, not only providing excellent food (breakfast and dinner), but really making us feel welcome and at home at the Cherrygarth Cottage - always with a smile and a fresh remark, and loads of great advice on walks/hikes, local restaurants and understanding 'the Irish way'. The Cherrygarth itself so cozy and embracing, a flourishing garden, friendly dogs, hens and horse. Our recommendations can not be higher. If you seek an authentic experience of Ireland at its best, you must go visit Cherrygarth Cottage.
The house is located in a beautiful part of the Wicklow region, with easy access to the mountains and the coast. The gardens are magnificent. Louise and Jim are excellent hosts, sharing their expensive knowledge of the region. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and sustained us all day! Delicious breads and scones. If you get a chance to stay here, do it! Our room was beautifully appointed, and we enjoyed access to the upstairs patio.
Nothing. It was a perfect stay.
Gorgeous location and surroundings. A warm welcome from Louise and Jimmy and we were looked after beautifully. Nothing was too much bother. The breakfasts were fantastic, especially the home baking that accompanied it. We loved our stay here
Louise and Jimmy made us feel very welcome in their home. Our room was very comfortable and we enjoyed using the shared sitting area downstairs looking onto the garden. Breakfast was delicious and Louise gave us helpful tips about places to visit and things to do.
Nothing to say here.
Jimmy and Louise are exceptional hosts. The property was amazing and relaxing with outstanding access to hiking.
We had an incredible stay at Cherrygarth Cottage. Louise is the ultimate host. She welcomed us as if we were family and provided us with fabulous, homecooked meals, recommendations for touring the area, and shared her lovely home and gardens us throughout our stay. We would stay with Louise again in a heartbeat.
Nothing.
Gorgeous accommodation and grounds. Fantastic home cooking and lovely conversation. I feel pampered.
Having to leave at the end of our stay.
We were very well received by Louise and Jimmy. They were fantastic hosts, kind and always available, and gave us lots of (great) suggestions for sightseeing, hiking and eating in the region. The cottage really feels like a home, the grounds are lovely, and we even got to meet some of the younger family members. Louise's breakfasts were an absolute topper! All in all, a great place to relax and as a base for getting to know Wicklow.
The bed was a bit too soft for us, however this is a personal preference.
Had an amazing stay here. Our hosts were so friendly and welcoming and looked after us perfectly. Room had everything we needed, decorated nicely, clean, comfortable bed, view of the garden with the roaming chickens and ducks and ofcourse the mountain in the distance. Breakfast was amazing. There are walks straight from the house which was great and only a short drive to nearby pubs. Would highly recommend if you're looking for somewhere with a personal touch close to beautiful scenery.
It was an amazing experience staying at the Cherrygarth cottage. The place is cosy and comfortable. The room has a very beautiful view of the garden and the bed is comfy. Breakfasts are just great, homemade and very tasty with good variety. Louise is a very good cook! It has an ideal location nestled between picturesque lakes and breathtaking landscapes are a short drive away. Easy access to restaurants, shops and tourist attractions. We were welcomed by the gracious couple and are really grateful for all their hospitality! Looking forward to be back again !

Beautiful gardens and location
Shower a little small
The property itself and attention to detail is exceptional but at the end of the day it’s the service you receive and the experience you have that makes it stand out and boy does Cherrygarth Cottage stand out . It’s simply an experience not to be missed out on . Cannot speak highly enough about this place
I honestly cannot find a negative or say there was anything we didn’t like.
Where do I begin? When you enter the gate, you are transported into a magical place. The grounds are full of beautiful flowers with chickens, ducks, peacocks, dogs, and a horse roaming free. For breakfast, enjoy fresh eggs with Louise's home made bread, scones, and jam. Next, take off on a hike right outside the property or drive a short distance to cute villages or the beach. In all, this is an absolute jewel in the Wicklow mountains!
Leaving this place!
Wonderful hosts, Breakfast was delicous

Amazing hosts, beautiful house and gardens. Wonderful breakfast
Amazingly friendly hosts and a beautiful home in a super convenient location for the Wicklow mountains. Louise gave us great pointers on where to go walking - the views and routes were stunning! Also have to mention the breakfast which was by far the best during our week-long visit to Ireland. Definitely book, you won’t regret it!

Louise & Jimmy were the perfect host. Breakfast was first rate. Pancakes. Omelets. Made to our preferences. They offered more hospitality than most would expect. We will be back!
Louise and Jimmy were exceptional hosts nothing was too much bother. The homemade bread at breakfast was delicious and the whole breakfast was lovely. The garden was beautiful and we were encouraged to wander in it.

It was a very welcoming atmosphere. The hospitality was great. The breakfast was so tasty. The house and garden is very beautiful. Would have liked to stay much longer.
The property was easy to get to, very clean, absolutely gorgeous and full of character. Louise and Jimmy were exceptional hosts, made sure we were looked after, and made us feel at home from the moment we stepped inside. I had the best night of sleep that entire holiday at their home, and the breakfast they made us the next morning was absolutely delicious - I'm still thinking about it now! Louise even gave us some fantastic recommendations of beautiful hikes and sights to visit nearby. I highly recommend that anyone visiting County Wicklow stops over at Cherrygarth Cottage for a cozy, comforting and memorable stay.
From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Louise and Jimmy are fantastic hosts, we felt as though we were staying with friends even though we had never met before. The rooms are clean and comfortable and very bright and airy. Breakfast was delicious and Louise’s homemade baked goods are fantastic. The location is quiet and relaxing and the gardens are just beautiful. We walked the sugar loaf mountain near by and went for tea in Greystones which is only a 20min drive away. Great location, amazing hosts and wonderful property. I wish we had time to stay longer.
Everything. We rode in on our motorbike and we got an absolutely lovely welcome. Our hosts made us feel at home as soon as we arrived , even giving us a nice cold beer straight away. What a lovely couple and what a lovely home they have, we can’t thank them enough. In the morning we went down for breakfast and it was all home made, bread and scones just out of the oven and the home made jam was absolutely delicious. Full Irish breakfast that even I couldn’t finish. What a way to start your day! Must thank louise and jimmy for making our last night of our holiday a lovely one. Thanks so much and hope our paths cross again!

The decor inside the house is lovely and made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and made to our liking, adding to the homely atmosphere. The location is fantastic, near to the Wicklow mountain walking and hiking trails, which was perfect for our adventures. The surroundings are peaceful and serene, adding to the overall experience. A special highlight was the charming presence of peacocks, pony and two sweet dogs on the property. Overall, we highly recommend this place. We can't wait to return!!

Location was so nice and private! Really nice to be outside of the city and see the country. Driving on the roads were a little tight but made for a fun adventure. Breakfast was amazing as well! Fruit tasted so fresh and there were many options. Incredible stay! Louise was so fun to talk with, she shared much insight and was very warm and welcoming the entire time. Both her and Jimmy were amazing hosts and had so much to offer us for our stay.
Staying at Cherrygarth is a complete joy. The setting at the foot of Djouce mountain is beautiful, with easy access to the Wicklow Way. The gardens are stunning and beautifully maintained. The decor is amazing with extremely comfortable beds and pristinely clean. The welcome, friendliness and service we received from Louise was exceptional. She went over and above all expectations to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The breakfast was superb, with fresh eggs from her own free range hens that were amazing. This is a complete gem and I look forward to staying there again! Thank you Louise.
our trip is over but we still remember with pleasant feelings our stay in your house....comfortable room....nice atmosphere, delicious breakfast....kind hosts
Honestly just loved everything about our stay. From the delicious homemade scones and Irish breakfast to the kind hands-on mentality in planning the most ideal routes for sightseeing trips in the area, it was truly a fantastic experience. We can‘t recommend staying with Louise & Jimmy enough, their lovely family and the various animals in the backyard made this one of the most unique, warm and memorable experiences. Louise & Jimmy went above and beyond to ensure we had the most incredible and comfortable time in the breathtaking Wicklow Mountains. We can’t wait to go back to Cherrygarth Cottage 💚
Not one single thing
We were warmly welcome by Louise. The house and the garden are simply beautiful. Louise is very attention to details: she puts fresh flowers around the house and was careful to follow my complex dietary requirements for the delicious generous breakfast she cooks herself with ingredients from her own garden. The house and the room were very clean and the garden well maintained. Louise is very kind and caring and gave us some off the tracks walking ideas and tips for restaurants. She really makes you feel at home.
