It is very close and convenient to the Ruins of Carthage, comfortable, and the hosts insisted we put our car inside the yard to keep it safe. Food places and markets nearby.

There isn't a microwave, so heating up leftovers is a challenge, and a spatula wouldn't go amiss, or a wooden spoon, but other than that, everything was great.

+ Excellent location for exploring Carthage on foot, all the big sites are close. Good value. Flexible check-in/check-out. Organised transfer from the airport (extra cost). Easy communication before arrival. - Needs to be paid in cash, which was not clearly communicated in advanced. Did not provide a correct address/location, which complicated our planning. Everything in the kitchen had a grimy surface. Floors were not clean. No grocery shop/few restaurants in the area. You can hear everything from the street, early wake-up.

The flat itself was big and spacious. The location wasn't that bad either but wasn't the best.

First of all we booked the flat in the advert and one day before we arrived he messaged us that the flat is under maintenance and he offered us another flat and we accepted it. Even tho he kept repeating that the new flat is under the same address it wasn't so the taxi took us somewhere else. Everyday we had to deal with a bad smell from the bathroom. The TV didn't work or the batteries. One day we had a cold weather 11 degrees and we wanted to heat up the flat but the air-conditioning didn't work at all. We also asked for hairdryer and we didn't get, nor an answer.

This is a lovely, very spacious apartment with three generous-sized bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen with space to eat, a large clean shower room/toilet and secure off-street parking. The host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the apartment is located a short walk from many of Carthage's spectacular archaeological sites, and about 10 minutes walk to the local railway station where you can get trains to beautiful Sidi Bou Said and the beach at La Marsa (although the train line into Tunis was broken, so get a Bolt!). The apartment was close to many places to get food. We'd recommend "Tasty" for their delicious homemade Makloub and the Ojja at the nearby "Marinara"! Overall this place was great value and a good base for our visit to Carthage.
