Great coffee! Quirky breakfast Location Owls
Really lovely area. Very close to the sea. Beautiful.
Breakfast could do with a little more selection otherwise good. Accomodation clean, tidy and had all the required facilities for a comfortable stay. Great location, 4 minute walk to the beach. 2 mile walk into Hunstanton. Didn't need to use the car once arrived.
The dog friendliness and the really good coffee
The short bed 😉
Great location for exploring the area. Super friendly and helpful host. This was our first holiday with the dog and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. Very close to the beach. Plenty of choice at breakfast, the dog loved her fresh eggs in the morning! Being in a self catering chalet but with breakfast included was ideal. The chalet was clean and had everything we needed. We didn't want to go home and will definitely stay longer if we're in the area again.
Nothing!
Very close to beach , breakfast good , staff good Decor good
Few cobwebs lurking ..
The location was perfect. Really near the beach 3 minute walk. I walked to Hunstanton on my own. I felt really safe as an alone traveller. The breakfast was great and to my taste.
Breakfast was superb as was location being so close to beach, Nigel the host was so friendly and helpful, very peaceful.
nothing...
We stayed in The Churnery. The room had a big sky light, I woke at around 2am and looked up at the stars. It was a beautiful experience to lie there watching the night sky just amazing. The room its self was big with 2 tub chairs and a very comfortable bed. We slept really well bith nights. Around dusk with the door open you can watch the bat flying around the court yard outside your door. Berty as we called him is very quick so be sure to stand still and watch out for him. We had a small issue at the property which Nigel attended to straight away. The breakfast was well stocked and again Nigel couldnt do enough for you with freshly made coffees and juice. Lovely place, excellent host would recommend a visit.
Nothing it was lovely.
friendly and welcoming, ideal for pets with a short walk to the beach, lovely walk to Hunstanton.
The breakfast we loved how we collected it from the kitchenbreakfast room and took it back to our room to eat.
There was nothing to not like everything was lovely from arrival to our stable room and leaving we thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back
I loved my cabin; it matched the photos, and you could tell everything had been thought about in detail, from the lovely furnishings to the unexpected extras like freshly ground coffee! The staff were really friendly and helpful, I even got to hold an owl from the on-site aviary. It was literally under a 10-minute walk from Heacham Wash and a short drive from lots of local sights. The other guests on site were really nice and respectful: letting each other have a peaceful stay. The breakfast was a great added bonus with fresh onsite farm produce!
A fan was provided, which was a godsend, as I stayed in one of the growing number of heatwaves we have had this past summer. If heatwaves are set to continue, I wonder if installing air conditioners in some of the accommodation units might be a good investment. I did have my windows open, but closed them when watching TV late at night so as not to disturb my neighbours. On Booking.com, it made it sound like a breakfast hamper was brought to you in the cabin. As breakfast was served right next door, it wasn't an issue, however, I thought it might be worth mentioning if any other fellow guests thought the same and love a lie-in like me.
The area is very easy to get to, and the staff are very nice. We are just in front of the sea. The rooms are old stables refurbished. it was great to have a small fridge and be able to have a bit of food here.
It was a bit warm, as we cannot create air circulation, as the openings are all in the front. I indicated a GF allergy before coming, and on both mornings there was no GF bread, even though our host mentioned each day that he would get some.
Very cute - everything you could possibly need - lovely fresh local breakfast - great location very peaceful
Personally, the mattress was abit uncomfy for me - just my opinion, my back needs abit of support -
Nothing.
We were shown to the hayloft walking over loose gravel, this meant I was unable to use my wife’s wheelchair and she had to struggle to get into the hayloft. The cleanliness was poor cobwebs all over which were dark with the dust not fresh webs which would not be an issue, they were even in the lamp shades, the floor was gritty with sand and a few pieces of gravel were present. The bedroom was up a flight of stairs the handrail was dangerously loose along with the rail at the top of the stairs, upon moving the rug to avoid my wife having an accident we found sand underneath showing this had not been moved when cleaning. The barn door was open when we arrived so we didn’t notice how badly the door lock fitted, this meant we were unable to leave our belongings in the room as the door could easily be jemmied open, this made us feel uncomfortable but as it was late we got ready for bed, neither of us slept due to how hard and rickety the bed was, to add to this their is no soundproofing in the building as we heard every noise from the room next to us including the flatulence one of them was suffering from. We decided in the morning to go for breakfast this turned out to be an insult, the owner was present and we asked for a change of room, he said this could happen and he would get our bedding brought over later, we took a seat near the window helped ourselves to the cereal and juice the owner made a pot of tea, the bread was open to flies however I took some slices from the covered part and toasted it, then nothing else appeared to be available, this was neither a continental breakfast or an English breakfast in fact it was a shambles for what is charged. The owner leant over to put the blind down to screen the sun near my wife, she remarked to me later how foul the body odour smell was.
They had tried hard to convert the stables.
The whole site was a dump to be fair but I guess it is called a farm! Do not stay if you like luxury or unless you love tarantula spiders !!!! It really was like sleeping in a stable. How on earth they think a night was worth £170 is beyond me.
On arrival we were slightly stunned to be greeted at the gate by a gentleman with a very large (real) grey owl on his arm - which set the tone nicely for us!! Breakfast was fantastic. Fresh, local farm eggs were outstanding and a great mix of appropriate other items to collect and eat in our comfortable and well equipped chalet. Nigel was very pleasant and helpful, but very subtly done so we didn't feel overly fussed over. Loved it!
Nothing really! Other dogs there (clue is in the name...!) but made us less anxious about any unexpected noises from ours.
Excellent proximity for the beach and good to be able to park outside the room.
One of the outdoor chairs was broken when we arrived and the other one very rickety (and the table was too) so we had to bring the chairs from inside out to sit on (and they arent comfortable either). The bathroom had an underlying smell of urine and it also wasnt very clean (especially around the floor and skirting boards). Also every time you had a shower the shower tray filled up and overflowed. It was also very difficult to shower without knocking the lever and burning yourself. There was nowhere comfortable to sit at all and weren't sure if we could sit anywhere else outside or if that was part of someone else's area (like the seats outside the breakfast room?). The stable door bolt was broken so every time you pulled the bolt back it fell out.
Friendly, clean , excellent location
Lovely little stable barn for a short stay in Norfolk, loved the beautiful decorations and breakfast in the morning was very cute. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend!
Campsite close kind of made us confused where we were going but at check in a lovely member of staff directed us :)
Great location. Friendly, helpful host and staff.
Breakfast there was plenty to chose from, and Nigel was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and we found our accommodation lovely and perfect for our needs.
It was ideal when you have your dog with us as it was dog friendly & you could take your dog in to the breakfast room. It was also ideally located close to the beach & coastal walks
In our particular apartment the tv was in the bedroom & personally I would prefer the tv to be located in the ground floor living room
Nigel was an excellant host, breakfast was lovely, we stayed in the stables so had to take it back to the room however it was ideal, fresh eggs everything you could want. The site is located right on the beach so it was ideal for our dog who equally loved it. The only thing we found a bit uncomfortable was the bed but this is just because we are tall our feet were hanging out the bottom, however we still slept well and it was fine, its just we both have long legs :) Would stay again, thank you again really was a nice break.
I wouldn't say there was anything we didn't like really is great value for money.
Close to beach and good dog walks
Spider webs and dead spiders in the bathroom. Some damp and paint peeling off walls. Water pressure in shower was poor water came out very slow. Breakfast was sold as included but there was a limited selection which you had to take back to your room and cook yourself then clean and wash up. It was not made clear that it was self catering for breakfast.
Had a lovely stay with our dog. Friendly and helpful hosts, clean and cosy room with everything you need. Perfect location. Will be going back :)
It was near to the beach. The decor was nice. We were provided with a fan and a cool mat for our pug which was kind.
It was too hot during the heat wave. This wasn’t helped by having a sky light window over the bed. Towards the end of our stay, the window was covered over.
Very good choice and nice selection everything fresh
Garden areas could have been tidier
The location close to the beach and dog friendly was perfect.
Nothing we didn’t like.
Nice location Had all the things needed for a comfortable stay The hosts were very friendly
Cook your own breakfast Cobwebs in the bathroom The site and accommodation was a little tired
Fantastic beach side pods
Nothing
Very relaxed site close to beach and definitely dog friendly. Brilliant support from owner Nigel and his wife. Pleasant buffet breakfast with plenty of (cold) options plus boiled eggs from the farm's chickens. Fridge was a useful bonus in the hot weather. Comfortable bed. Interesting variation in room options available in imaginatively converted farm outbuildings (although we didnt find that clear on Booking.com).
Shower a little tight for larger people! A cooked breakfast option would be nice but understand owner's reservations about red tape associated with offering this. Vinyl floor not as clean as it could be downstairs.
I loved the accomodation we got. There was a small garden where we can let our dog out and it was secured.Loved the surrounding area also.Beach is only 2 mins walk from the accomodation.
This was the second time we've visited here, and it was as good as we remembered the first time. The room was lovely, the location is great (just yards from the beach) and it has a lovely relaxed, dog-friendly vibe to it. We really like being able to do our own thing, and come and go as we please, and this location is really handy for a lot of the places nearby - Heacham beach, but also Hunstanton, Sandringham, King Lynn, etc, so it was a great base for days out while we were there. The breakfast was great, and the fact that we could either sit in the breakfast room or in our own room made it very flexible. The hosts were very friendly, and made us feel really welcome.
I can't think of anything, everything was great.
We really enjoyed our stay in the converted stables. Our stable was called 'Cockles' It was clean airy and comfortable. Nice little kitchen area with everything you could need. The buffet breakfast was very nice, with fresh eggs every morning. Local is peaceful and quiet, with a short walk to the beach which has lovely sunsets. Nice walk to the village, which has a good selection of shops. Also on Tuesday evenings there is a pizza van outside the football club, very tasty pizza's.
Cute & cosy cabin which was well equipped with everything we needed for a weekend stay. Great communication with Nigel, friendly staff, lovely breakfast with a good variety of choices & very comfy bed. Our dog enjoyed his walks on the beach & to the local dog friendly pubs. Thank you
Nothing
Everything you might need. Cafetiere, selection of tea, coffee. Good towels. Wardrobe space, toiletries. Comfortable bed. Quiet location. Easy to get to. Great selection for continental breakfast with fresh eggs.
TV was upstairs in the bedroom.
Pretty much everything
Couldn't get terrestrial TV news etc
Lovely rooms, well equipped and a fabulous breakfast.
Shower head kept falling which was slightly annoying but not the end of the world.
200 metres from the sea ,lovely breakfast in chalet on arrival and well equipped to cater for yourselves but we ate out locally.
Nothing, having to leave would love to have stayed longer!!
It was close to the seafront.
It wasn’t clean.
From the moment we turned into the site we felt welcomed - greeted by a friendly chap called Simon who reassured us about our stay and turning up early. Fast forward to evening (we went for a long walk) we arrived back quite late (9.30pm) however Nigel again was super friendly and accommodating. We were shown to a cute little stable like barn room which had everything you needed including a fab selection of hot drinks biscuits and a chilled water. Breakfast was served right next door ~ so after we enjoyed our morning brew sat outside our room we headed to the quaint farmhouse kitchen where you could choose from various cereals, yoghurts, breads, jams and eggs. Nigel provided a tray of tea /coffee and orange juice. Thank you Mel & Tim
I have Zero gripes with this property.
Location. Nice short walk to beach and field footpath. Property lovely
Not so much didn’t like, but would have been useful to know before hand. Tiny fridge,(adequate for a few bottles so no panic), no kitchenette and no utensils.
Poor
Great location, lovely hosts. Back next year. Says it all!
Everything
From the time we arrived until the time we left, Nigel and his team were so welcoming, location was perfect and it was so easy to access. Right on the beach. It was brilliant! We took 2 Labradors and its was ideal. We will be back!!
Just perfect for us,so close to the beach for our dog

Very friendly and warm greeting. Very well looked after. Perfect get away destination. Beautiful peaceful beach with like minded people and my dog loved it.
Excellent location for the beach and walks for the dog, everyone was friendly, the pubs are all dog friendly and welcoming.
No broom or dust pan in the room which would help with having a dog.
We enjoyed the space and the informal atmosphere. The grounds were very suitable for pets as all the rooms had access to open spaces. Nigel was a great host and was very helpful in both recommending place to visit and eat.
Quirky property. Excellent location for walking to the beach. Dog friendly and excellent host.
Nothing to dislike but just a comment. It might be useful to have a blind for the skylight. Lovely for looking at the stars but at this time of year daylight flooded in at 4am
Nothing didn't stay
We turned up saw the the wooden shacks turned around came home when we drove in entrance there was junk old motors etc everywhere looked like a scrapbyard
Nice beach. Nice staff
There was a dividing door between our rooms and another and we could hear everything!
Although it was a bank holiday and lots of people about it was a nice quiet corner to stay
It was all great
The location was lovely!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Location was brilliant, literally a 2 minute walk and you were on the beach, plus it was surrounded by other walking routes, ideal for breaking up the week. Close to local shops and pubs as well. Host was brilliant, provided us with local knowledge and always checked in if he saw us around site to make sure everything was ok. Room was what we needed, had everything required, nice little dining area and also an outside seating area. Only thing we would maybe of wanted was a brush/dustpan - to help with the sand. Other than that we had everything we needed.
Breakfast is lovely, fresh eggs, breads, cereals. The site is easy to navigate, clean and peaceful. With a 2 minute walk to the dog friendly beach, it was perfect for our mini midweek break.
I can honestly say..nothing. Our host was on hand if you needed anything
Booked this on the spur of the moment as the weather was good. Great place and a 5 minute walk to the beach ⛱️ Hosts were very friendly. Plenty of options from cottages to camping and resident owls on sight for a photo opportunity for a fee. Very clean and great continental breakfast
Skylight directly above the bed woke us at 5am Could do with a blind
Unusual place to stay as a alternative to a hotel
Breakfast was fabulous, owners were great and everything was superb.
The location is amazing, how near to the beach it is made for a lovely stay. The staff we met were superb, Simon was amazing and is a credit to the venue.
There were lots of cobwebs in the property we stayed in, could have just been a bit cleaner and the stay would have perfect.
We stayed in a stable room called Cindy. Our room was really clean and had everything in it that we needed.Parking was ample and we took our dog with us, lots of space on site to take her for a walk or alternatively walk to south beach which was a few minutes away. Our room was really quaint and quirky, check in with Nigel was quick and easy.
Maybe a cooked breakfast .
A continental style breakfast with the option to boil or scramble your own eggs. There was a good choice of cereal and bread and preserves.
A charming place. A very comfortable room with all amenities to hand. Perfectly placed to venture onto the nearby beech, explore the coastline or head on inland.
Nothing
Location, peace and quiet, and room to relax and enjoy are self's
N/A no negative comments
Lovely location, close to beach. Very comfortable rooms, excellent facilities. Good breakfast and a very friendly and helpful host.
Everything met our expectations.
Perfect location for a dog walking holiday,
Nothing was good. Manager is rude and chalet was dirty.
I would not recommend this accommodation if you are coming sans dogs, for the following reasons.... When we arrived (I had paid for early arrival) we took our shoes off at the door and commenced unpacking whilst in our socks. Mine soon turned brown with the dirt and dog hair on the floor. I also found balls of dog hair under the bed. (I asked for a hoover and mop so I could clean the floor but they offered to do it while we were out, but floor was still not clean enough to walk on with bare feet - pics are after it was cleaned). Dog hair is also on surfaces, like my bed side table and on the bathroom sink cupboard. The shower is pitiful and dribbles out water. And don't get me started on the temperature, which switches between boiling hot and freezing cold, mid-shower. Also mouldy and damp inside. The fridge is all wobbly so you have to be careful the door shuts properly. Even with it shut the food was only cool & not cold. So it's not running properly. The equipment in the kitchenette is adequate and they provide biscuits and hot drinks, which is a nice touch. But considering that there are posher hotels in the area that offer an ensuite room for the same price I would've rather stayed there, without the kitchenette (especially at £170 per night!!!). Worst of all; when I voiced my concerns with the manager, Nigel, he was rude and started shouting at me in front of guests. This place is far too run down to be charging these rates. Not sure if they think it's justified because the beach is a 5min walk away but it is literally the worst beach I have been to in the UK. Don't be fooled by the sunset beach pics attached to the property. They were probably taken at sunset so you can't really see how bad it is. Not sure you can call it a sandy beach because it has soooo many rocks in the sand & there's black spiders in the sand!! (the size of 20p coins).
Nicely presented accommodation, comfortable and very clean. Good toiletries. Fresh eggs for breakfast. Fresh coffee prepared by Nigel was a nice touch. Fantastic that Simon and his owls are finding a home at the camp site.
Breakfast was good. Maybe some slightly better bread choices would be a nice addition.
I would recommend this place to anyone especially if they have a dog! Felt at home and had everything we needed! And the location is lovely!
We loved the viewing window above the bed to look at the starts and the accommodation more than suited our needs.
Beautiful room comfortable bed, nice outside seating area lovely lavender bath and shower wash
It was very welcoming situated in a good place for lovely beeches
Quiet and perfect location. 2 mins walk to the beach
Nothing
Great location, super friendly and welcoming as well as great communication.
Nothing!
A lovely place to chill out. Went for 3 nights with the family and stayed in the stable block. Lovely room and everything you needed. Staff were lovely.
Liked everything
Excellent location near the beach, cosy renovated room and friendly greeting. Breakfast was supplied with plenty of choices including freshly laid eggs
Cosy and clean
Great stay and our little dog was very welcome. Nigel is a fantastic host and always on hand when needed. We loved staying here. Thanks so much ❤️
It was lovely and near to the beach 1
Nothing not to like all lovely
Nigel was there to greet us upon arrival which was lovely, gave us all the required information and was accessible if we had any queries! Facilities were good, area was quiet and the beach was a 5 min walk away! Simon the owl man was a particular highlight, allowing us to interact, learn about and hold his incredible owls!
Nothing!
Cozy, comfortable. Great breakfast.
So the room itself was very pretty, the area so peaceful and calm ,bed was comfy and warm . Host was very very nice and chatty.
Nothing to dislike
Lovely little chalet with excellent proximity to a gorgeous beach. The host, Nigel, is friendly and helpful - he even opened the breakfast room early when he knew I had to leave at 8am.
