Painkiller Hiriketiya

Very great value for money. It has everything you need and the staff is very friendly

Excellent location, comfortable room

Top locatie voor een mooie prijs. Aardige eigenaar!!!

Great location and very fair price. The host was very kind and did some tasks for me without me asking. Great room with good AC and bathroom.

the room was really spacious and clean. The location was perfect, right next to to really nice restaurants and short walk to the beach The family’s is really nice and played a local game with us

The family who run the property are truly special. They welcomed me as one of their own and I left feeling very grateful to have met them. The property itself is great, simple but comfortable and very clean. Great location too.

Nothing

This place is so valuable for that amount they charge. The owner is so kind. And its walking distance to the beach and all the restaurants. Its very clean and AC works well. Theres a teacoffee area and also a small kitchen. A fridge to everything in the private area. I would like to rate this place 10/10. Big rooms and big bath rooms. Theres a heater too in the bathroom.

I liked everything.

Clean and comfortable accomodations

There was some noise and music at night from the hostel next door.

Friendly staff and good room, not very big but fine for us

The white curtains made it hard to sleep in the mornings as it’s so bright from 6am onwards

Everything was excellent. The stay was clean/comfortable with modern A/C, the location was near beaches and quiet, the staff were very hospitable providing a coconut drink on arrival, cute bedding, water bottles provided, laundry was easy, and the family/owner went above and beyond to welcome us and help us feel comfortable! We really appreciate the prompt communications and flexibility with our stay!

Loved this place! Staff was were some of the kindest people we met on our travels. The room was extra spacious and clean. The location was perfect - able to walk anywhere you need.

Slightly noisy on friday and saturday night, but only until 10pm. It didn't bother us much.

Gastvrijheid

It was exactly where it said, 400m from beach, lovely little stroll, perfect location, quiet at night. The best pillows yet! Hot showers and very clean

Nothing really, I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others

Sauber, hell

On recommande ++

Very good location, friendly and helpful family and everything you need!

Very clean and nice rooms. Friendly and very helpful staff. You stay at a family owned place.

Most of the rooms are located inside of the owners own apartment. We had our door entrance inside the owners livingroom. Felt a bit strange. A nightclub is near by and you definitely hear it thru the thin walls.

- gute Lage - nettes Personal - saubere Zimmer

Hosts were very friendly, good location.

Other guests stayed up drinking on the terrace until 3 in the morning and were very loud. They ignored our requests for quiet until we notified the hosts.there needs to be rules around this to avoid incidents like this.

Room was clear and the AC worked well. The host turned on the AC for me before arrival so the room was cool and ready. Good water pressure and hot water on demand. The balcony was a nice addition. Comfortable bed and spacious room. The property accepted card payment which was nice. The location is great, easy walk to the beach but far enough away that is a bit quieter.

Breakfast and host kindness!

Nothing! All was perfect!

Hosts, location, rooms everything was perfect!

Great location, super friendly staff, clean and reasonable price

Nothing

The owner was so welcoming and always went an extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Room was super clean , bathroom was also clean. Have a small balcony. You can get lunch and dinner from the restaurant down the hotel. 5 minute walk to the beach, DotsBay House and many other wonderful places. Highly recommended.

Mooie kamer, schoon en ruim. Prima sanitar. Vriendelijke gastheer en vrouw. Heerlijk ontbijt.

The owner was so kind and helpful! 🥰

The owner was there for everything we requested and the location is perfect.

Goede locatie, aardige host, schoon, goede airco

Douche en wc zijn 1

Perfect location. 5min walk to beach or bus station. Very clean and airconditioned rooms. Hosts are very friendly.

If you're a light sleeper it might be a bit loud from the bars in the area.

Really nice new clean building, ac in the bedroom was great. Good location with restaurants and cafes nearby, not far from the beach. The manager was so friendly and helpful and made an amazing breakfast.

Nothing

Location was great, inside our room was clean and the bed was comfy. Wifi was decent.

We stayed on a Saturday night, and because it’s next to a hostel, it was very noisy! you could hear everything. Also, the curtains didn’t block the light, so the room was very bright early in the morning. They only provided two small towels, and the shower was quite weak. No staff was there, just two kids.

Zeer nette kamer en zeer vriendelijke eigenaar!

What a fabulous guest house! The host and his family were so kind & helpful with everything. The location is perfect, just a short 10 minute walk to the beach. Lots of great places to eat close by. The rooms themselves are spacious & clean. The A/C was great. Our host organised scooter hire and a Yala safari trip for us. Highly recommend.

It was such a nice stay there. Relativly new, modern but has also a homestay vibe because the host is everytime around to help. Rooms are clean, there is hot water, ac is working. Breakfast is really really good. We enyjoed it really much and can warmly recommend it.

nothing

The rooms are spacious, clean, and centrally located to everything you might want to see. The best part is the host and his family. He is incredibly kind and goes out of his way to be helpful in any way possible. I’ve stayed in a few places in Sri Lanka so far and this was by far my best experience. Don’t think twice—book it.

Great location! Lovely rooms and the breakfast is incredible! Fantastic stay in Hiriketiya, I wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Zo’n fijn verblijf gehad. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is echt top! En de allerliefste host ooit! Zou dit 100% aanbevelen. :)

Recomendable 100%.

Everything: - super nice host who made us free fruit juice when we arrived (after a long day of driving) - amazing location on the Main Street, close to lots of nice restaurants and a short walk to the beach - the room was nice and spacious with a decently comfy bed and a good bathroom - good air con (a little too good) - good reliable WiFi which we haven’t had before

Nothing. There was a power cut over the whole of hiriketiya for about half a day so be aware that might happen

Had such a lovely stay here! Perfect location next to many restaurants and walking distance to the beach. Very clean property, hot water, and a relaxing balcony to hang out. The owners are very kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend getting their Sri Lankan breakfast, absolutely delicious! They helped us with transportation to Mirissa and were overall very pleasant to chat with. Would absolutely stay again and I recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Hiriketiya!

Nothing! Lovely stay overall, zero complaints.

Great couple, very helpful and kind. When my girlfriend got bitten by a dog near the beach, they assisted us with everything and even gave us a ride to the doctor for her vaccination. The lady is an amazing cook, and the breakfast was delicious. I recommend trying the Sri Lankan breakfast, but I bet the western option is also very good. Highly recommended!

Kindest host, very clean!

Nothing

The location was perfect, very close to the beach, shops, restaurants and more. The breakfast made by the owner and his family was stellar as well. It was one of the best ones we have eaten in Sri Lanka. It is optional though, so you can opt out, but you would be missing out!! We met some great people as well during breakfast, which gave a bit of a homely feeling, this was perfect. The room was super clean, the airconditioning cold, and the stay was just about perfect. We miss it already!

Nothing!

I had the absolute best time in Hiriketiya thanks to Charitha and his family! I was supposed to stay for 5 days, but I ended up extending to 3 weeks — and honestly, I would’ve stayed even longer if I could have. Charitha goes above and beyond to make sure his guests are comfortable and happy. He often organizes meals, snacks, and drinks (his wife is an amazing cook!). He’s super responsive on WhatsApp if you have any questions or concerns, and he’s always genuinely happy to help. He is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and a true example of Sri Lankan hospitality. The facilities themselves were excellent — I have no complaints at all. The location is also perfect: surrounded by restaurants, cafés, and boutiques, and just a couple of minutes from the beach. I would go back in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor and book your next stay with them!

This is the best accommodation we have had in our whole 4 month backpacking trip. The room was so big, with so much storage and space. The view was beautiful and so much natural light. The bed was comfy and the aircon was strong. The host and his daughters were so kind to us, letting us check in early due to arriving from Yala, offering a welcome drink and letting us store our bags after we checked out the room. We loved the location of how close it was to the beach. Highly recommend.

the best host

Great location, was a great size room with a very cold aircon and good hot shower. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Also has a washing machine which is a bonus

The location is very good and the room is comfortable. The host is very nice and friendly.

Nothing

Very welcoming and available staff. Location was great, just 5 min from main beach and very restaurant in the area is also a 5 min max walking distance. The host was super kind and helpful for every need we had

We had an amazing stay at this place! The accommodation is brand new (it just opened at the end of last year), the rooms are incredibly spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Charitha, our host, was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people we’ve ever met—he went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. He even made us breakfast even though it wasn't meant to be part of the deal, his lovely family surprised us one morning with an incredible homemade breakfast, completely free of charge, which we truly appreciated. The location is perfect—just a 5-minute walk from the beach, close to everything, yet the area is peaceful and quiet at night, which made for a perfect night's sleep. We felt so welcomed and taken care of. Highly recommended!

The family were very friendly and helpful Facilities were new and clean Air con was very good Close to shops beach and restaurants

No issues

Encore merci !☺️

I had such a lovely stay here - location is great, 10 min walk to hiriketiya beach and 15 mins to dickwella beach (my favourite). Room was spacious and comfortable, silent AC machine which is a rare treat! The owner is extremely kind and helpful, on hand for anything you need or any questions about the area, he helped me work out my travel for getting back to Colombo when I left. Felt so at home here, would really recommend!

Lovely clean room ! The best part was the owner. He was so accommodating. Gave me his bike to ride around, found me another place to stay when I wanted to extend but it was booked up, made me coffee and welcomed me with a juice. He is an amazing person.

On the main street so it can be a little noisy during the day but I slept fine.

Clean room with balcony & ensuite bathroom. The owner was helpful & gave us a much needed fruit juice on arrival.

Nothing. Good value

I was very warm welcomed by the owner with a welcome drink. It is a new accomodation with very clean rooms situated in the centre of Hiriketiya. The owner - very friendly and kind - offered me several fruits. Thank you for your great hospitality and service. I truly recommend this place.
