The location was perfect for us. Chris was very friendly and shared great information about the property and local area. It's a great place to stay had everything we needed. Exploring the various walkways was fun, and eel feeding was a big hit with my son.

Second time staying and we’d do it again. The host is awesome - we left stuff behind and he let us know and allowed us to pick up even though it wasn’t very convenient for him, thank you so much by the way! Lovely, cosy, warm accommodation.

Chris was a great host. I arrived very late so he took the time to send me detailed instructions for my arrival as they would be asleep. The accommodation was excellent... the bed very comfortable, the kitchen had all the necessaries as did the bathroom. I would definitely stay again.

Everything! Host was awesome, friendly and met us on arrival. The property is beautiful, it’s a hidden gem! Lovely accommodation, cozy, warm, spacious and had everything we needed for a home cooked meal.

We had a lovely stay at Uniqueness. The place was just as we expected for our budget, and the rooms clean and tidy on our arrival. The owner took his time to show us the space and explain stuff to us which I appreciated. We could bring our dog so it really helped us out. The garden was such a nice space to walk through.

Perfect spot to relax. Such a quirky setting. Tranquil and cool place.

It was just so handy to the city, friends and family. This is our second stay here, and we love it, especially since we were able to take our little dog with us.Our host is very friendly and will always stay here in the future if we can

Nothing really provided for breakfast, just a small amount of cereal and a little amount of milk.

Well, the bed is a bit lacking in comfort. Sinks terribly with two people in it. But we coped. Could do with a new bread board, it looked decidely untidy.

Lovely self contained room. Very quiet and lots of parking. Very friendly hosts .

Most obliging host who was helpful with directions to places of interest. The garden was interesting , backing onto a waterway with scenic views.

The alarm went off without reason, probably due to some shortage. But not complaining

Had our own breakfast, loved the uniqueness of the place, being in and amongst the “Taiao” (environment) the peace and serenity, very relaxing… Loved that it had its own kitchenette, bathroom lounging and bedding…

The mattress was a little soft for me, I like a mattress that is firm but comfortable…

Lovely gardens with beautiful walkways to and around the estuary. Quiet with bird song. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Host Chris was friendly and communicated quickly and clearly. Love to stay there again.

I liked the location. The Johnson Reserve, within walking distance, was perfect for our run in the morning!

True to it's name, it was very unique. So much character. Garden was amazing, good tour.

The actual accommodation living space felt a bit cramped at first, but they were very clever with their bed and tv storage creating a nice living area. It worked out well for our stay.

The unit was a little small and the bed was not the best. And the unit felt a little damp. Would not stay here again.

The garden is such a playful discovery walk. The pool is beautiful set in the garden with lots of fairy lights at night- absolutely perfect for a midnight swim. The ingenuity, love and care to create the accommodation is really impressive. Highly recommended

I like the location where it's close to shops and dog walks since we had our pup with us. Very friendly host informative, love that they provided an air fryer for easy cooking. Had a nice garden would have been nicer if the pool was functional but overall the place is recommendable.

Bed wasn't too comfy and hearing footsteps walking or running around especially in the morning. I'm a short woman so stove was a bit high for me.

Very clean and tidy. Very quiet and enjoyed hearing the birds. Kitchen well supplied with everything you need. Chris was very helpful I would stay again.

The communication was excellent, making it a perfect overnight stay with all the amenities needed. The warm and inviting space, with its heat pump, made it a great choice. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again.

Friendly host and beautiful garden and walkways. Kitchen had all you need. Was a lovely place to stay in.

Gorgeous outside setting. Trees, native fauna, wetlands, children’s huts and so much more.It was peaceful and restful and allowed me to rest after the hectic pace of Auckland.

There is nothing to dislike, but just note it’s mote suited to couples and not more than say 2 toddlers say.

Very convenient for our dogs and the hosts were very helpful.

The unit was amazing. Cosy and warm. Awesome host. Easy to communicate with and he warmed the room up for us as we arrived a bit late in the evening round 9pm. The bed was cosy and the room had everything we needed to just turn up and stay. The shower is awesome. The garden is beautiful i will definitely be going back there again thank you for the lovely stay Chris.

Just how steep lol but no drama

Great welcome from Chris to this comfortable, well-equipped, private apartment. The extensive forest/waterfront garden is a delight with all sorts of quirky surprises hiding amongst the trees! Generous parking is provided at the end of a long, steep driveway that drops from the busy main road - the apartment is tucked down well away from the road and the main sounds that greeted us in the morning were from the birds in the woodland garden. We had only one night here; this would be an ideal place for longer stays.
