The location is excellent — convenient for exploring the monasteries, Kastraki and Kalambaka, with everything you need within easy reach. What made our stay especially memorable was the incredibly kind and welcoming staff. Their genuine warmth and willingness to help made us feel truly cared for. We would happily stay here again.

S'il faut dire quelque chose, je dirai que les bâtiments alentours ne sont pas au niveau de la rénovation de Monès.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen Ecke des Tourismusortes. Sie ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in die Felsen und Klöster. Das Haus wurde qualitativ sehr aufwändig renoviert und gibt besonders nachts ein eindrückliches Bild ab.
Die Klimaanlage haben wir nicht zum Laufen gebracht. Das Frühstück war eher langweilig und das Personal wirkte nicht besonders motiviert. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der teuren Unterkunft gerät dadurch in die Schieflage.

The breakfast was impeccable, with a wonderful selection of fresh, delicious local foods. The staff were warm, welcoming, and made us feel at home. It was the perfect place to stay while exploring the monasteries.

Habitació és amplia amb lloc per obrir la maleta i un penjador de roba. El llit molt confortable, amb dos tipologies de coixí per triar. Nevera amb aigua a dins, i cafetera per fer te i cafè. Lavabo molt ampli amb sabons de qualitat, secador de cabell i tovalloles que repostaven cada dia. Molt net. L'esmorzar ha estat fantàstic, amb productes de la terra, les melmelades casolanes eren boníssimes. Hi havia un vol amb fruita a l'entrada, que per berenar quan arribes és molt agraït. El dia abans ens van enviar les instruccions per accedir, que van funcionar a la perfecció. Molt bona experiència!

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Lo que más nos gustó, sin duda, fue el desayuno. Además, la ubicación es excelente, súper práctica para desplazarse y visitar todos los monasterios que teníamos en nuestra lista. Para redondear la experiencia, el pueblo tiene muchísimo encanto y cuenta con varias tabernas muy interesantes para comer o tomar algo al volver de las excursiones.

Il est situé dans un endroit calme mais avec une vue imprenable sur les roches, et avec des commodités à quelques minutes à pied. Le petit déjeuner était varié et très bon ! Nos hôtes étaient charmant s et nous ont donné de bons conseils sur les activités et restaurants à faire. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et composé de produits locaux. Une belle découverte dans un paysage majestueux.

Lovely spacious room, great shower, Rituals products and a delicious breakfast in the morning beautifully presented -lovely fresh coffee too served to your table. We were able to leave the car whilst on a tour too which was a bonus.
We found the mattress and pillows a little on the firm side, and a suggestion is that it would be good to have a shelf in the shower area for shampoo etc.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026Accommodation in Kastraki is in an excellent location for those visiting the Hanging Monasteries. Only about 3-4 kilometers from the monasteries. The Mones Hotel is located in Kastraki in a quiet location and close to the village center. There is parking nearby. The rooms are small but pleasantly decorated, very clean, modern and new. My room had a small balcony which is a nice addition. The breakfast was varied and interesting. It is worth knowing that in the afternoon there is no staff and you enter the place independently, and this did not bother me. The staff I met in the morning were very nice.
The only thing that bothered me was the relatively high price.

Das Frühstück war auf einem sehr hohen Niveau, mit einer besonderen Produktauswahl und liebevoll angerichtet. Generell spürt man überall die Qualität und die Liebe zum Detail. Die Betten sind äußerst bequem, und das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Waking up and enjoying the scenery of Meteora was truly unforgettable.😍 The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh and delicious options. The room was comfortable, clean, and very well maintained, and the overall atmosphere made us feel relaxed and welcome throughout our stay. We are extremely satisfied with our experience and would highly recommend Monés to anyone visiting Meteora❤️✨🏔️

Δεν υπήρχε ρεσεψιόν και όλα ήταν ψηφιακά. Εμάς δεν μας ενόχλησε αλλά για ηλικιωμένα άτομα ίσως είναι πρόβλημα

Reviewed May 24, 2026We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was extremely clean, beautifully maintained, and very cozy, which made us feel comfortable from the first moment. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and you can really feel that the owners care about every detail. The breakfast was absolutely excellent — fresh, delicious, and with a great variety of options. It was one of the highlights of our stay. What made this place truly special were the amazing people working there. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, always making us feel at home with their warm attitude and smiles. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and charming place to stay. We would definitely love to come back again in the future!

Reviewed May 15, 2026Très bel hôtel au pied des Meteores. Les chambres sont très récentes, confortables et bien décorées. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter les Meteores, en voiture ou même à pied, certains chemins partent de l'hôtel.
Pour ne pas laisser cette case vide: proposer des fruits au petit-déjeuner. Pour le reste, ne changez rien!

Reviewed May 13, 2026De kamer was niet heel groot, maar wel heel comfortabel. Het ontbijt super de luxe, zo veel keus! Het hotel heeft een fijne uitstraling en ligt dicht bij wandelwegen en toegang tot de kloosters. Restaurants op slechts een paar minuten lopen.
Het was heerlijk weer toen wij er waren en er waren niet veel schaduw plekken. Een parasol zou fijn zijn zo lang de bomen nog niet heel groot zijn.

Reviewed May 10, 2026Meteora is a unique place, and this hotel does it justice. The location is stunning; there are easy walks from the door of the hotel to the surrounding scenery and easy access by road to all the monasteries. The room was on the small side, but thoughtfully designed, so it did not feel cramped. Our hosts could not have been more helpful. Many reviews mention the breakfast and they are right: it is very good indeed. The selection is not wide, but it is of uniformly high quality and the freshly cooked omelette was delightful. We stayed only one night, but wished we had stayed for longer. We have not previously given a 10 on Booking.com. This is a 10. We had dinner in the small restaurant attached to the Hotel Batalogianni, which is a small distance downhill. There is a small outdoor setting with a great view, and the food is very good in generous portions.
There was a good kettle, and reasonable cups, and the rest of the preparation space was taken up with a Nespresso machine that jammed. This hotel is very new, and there is very indication that the owners will iron out the snags.

Reviewed May 6, 2026Das Hotel ist im Jahr 1890 gebaut worden und jetzt sehr einfühlsam restauriert und modernisiert worden. Die Einrichtung des ganzen Hauses stammt "aus einer Feder". Die Lage ist perfekt, ruhig, aber ideal für die Erkundung der Klöster. Es gibt fußläufig im Zentrum von Kastraki gute Tavernen.
