MONTECRISTO

Montecristo was such a lovely find for our anniversary stay. It’s located right by Sampaloc Lake, and our room on the second floor had a veranda with a beautiful view of the lake. Perfect for slow mornings and people-watching. It’s also on the quieter side, away from where most of the activity is, which we really liked. Since we enjoy walking around and exploring, the location was perfect for us. The next morning, we even jogged around the lake, which was especially nice because much of the route is shaded by big trees. Our room was huge, the bathroom was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable that I slept like a bear. 😅 They also have a restaurant and café downstairs, and the breakfast was really good. But what made the stay extra special were Mon and Chris. They are easily two of the warmest and friendliest hosts we’ve ever met. Staying there felt less like checking into an Airbnb and more like staying at a friend’s house. They gave us great tips on places to visit and things to try around the area, and they even surprised us with a little anniversary gift. Such a sweet and thoughtful touch. We highly recommend Montecristo. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’re already talking about coming back with friends.

Montecristo is an exceptional place to stay. The location is outstanding! The owners Mon & Cris are very accommodating, who really take good care of the facility and guest like me. The room is great and it feels very homey! This is a place to be when in San Pablo City.

Our stay at MONTECRISTO was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, Mon and Chris went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. The property description was completely accurate, and every amenity we needed was thoughtfully provided. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the authentic Filipino breakfasts. Each morning, Mon and Chris customized our meals to our preferences and served them on the patio overlooking the beautiful Sampaloc Lake. Starting the day with delicious homemade food and such a serene view was an unforgettable experience. What truly sets MONTECRISTO apart, however, is the hospitality. Mon and Chris didn’t just provide a place to stay - they created a complete experience. They generously offered rides around the city, shared local insights, and even offered to take us on tours of the many attractions and activities available in San Pablo City. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine desire to ensure we had an amazing visit made all the difference. If you’re looking for more than just a bed and breakfast, MONTECRISTO is the perfect choice. The accommodations were wonderful, the food was incredible, and the hosts were absolutely outstanding. We left feeling like family and cannot recommend this property highly enough. Montecristo is a lovely bed and breakfast situated right across idyllic Sampaloc lake in San Pablo, Laguna. The location is perfect, the place is beautiful, and the service is excellent. My husband and I loved our stay here. We originally planned to stay just overnight but decided to extend our stay because it was so relaxing. Mon and Chris were the perfect hosts, and it felt like staying with friends. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting San Pablo. And we certainly intend to come back again soon!

Property is right on the lake, very easily to find. Rooms are very nicely appointed, clean and spacious. Bed is comfortable and room has everything you need. Ramon and Chris are extremely friendly and accommodating.

Very comfortable room, clean, proper sanitary. The food was excellent and the hosts are superb. They provide lots of information about the area. They are even willing to give you a tour. Very friendly and their English is fluent.

Perfection from check in to check out! I travel the world am a member of several million-miler airline loyalty programs and lifetime elite status with a few international hotel chains - I know a gem when I stay at one. Montecristo is an amazing property with an excellent view of Sampaloc Lake, is close to a number of churches and restaurants. Cheers to our gracious hosts, Mon and Cris for a most wonderful stay! If ever back in San Pablo, Montecristo is where I’m staying!

If you want to go to city center you'll need to get a tricycle. Not walking distance.
