Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Very stylish establishment that feels very welcoming. Plenty of special touches throughout, and the staff were very relaxed and friendly. Great lighting design - makes all the difference! Altogether top quality accommodation and food offering, could not fault any of it. The swim ladder and sauna area on the shoreline were really well thought out and made my stay extra special. The room felt like a personal sanctuary, and the views were fabulous, especially for a lighting storm late one evening out over the sea. I had plans to continue my travels after breakfast, but didn't want to leave, so stayed in my room til 10.59am on the dot!
Personal preferences - I like a cup of tea in bed in the morning so I was disappointed that it wasn't available in the room, despite there being coffee and some herbal tea blend. Would have preferred an iron and ironing board to the steamer for my clothes - it felt like an odd addition. Jellyfish!! I googled them and found out Aurora moon jellyfish don't have an aggressive sting but there was a huge shoal (?) of them one morning so I didn't feel like getting in. Not the hotel's fault - but it would have been good to be told they are harmless as it is rather alarming to see them right by the swim ladder.

Reviewed Dec 11, 2025Wir hatten ein sehr schickes Appartment mit Terasse im Erdgeschoss vis à vis zur Ostsee. Die Lage im Norden der Insel war für uns ideal. Dank der mitgebrachten E-Bikes konnten wir den Norden der Insel ausgiebig erkunden. Das dazu gebuchte Frühstück sollte man auf keinen Fall missen. Auch das Hotel eigene Restaurant ist unbedingt einen Besuch Wert. Dazu die unbeschreibliche Aussicht auf die Ostsee. Durch unsere Reisezeit mitte September ist der Ort wegen der auslaufenden Saison für uns zu einer wahren Chill Out Zone geworden. Nicht ganz günstig, aber für uns jeden Cent wert. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Det ville have været rart med badekåber på alle værelser. Vi gik forgæves de 4 dage vi var på hotellet. Derudover ville det have været fantastisk havde det været lettere at komme til at tage sig en dukkert fx ved hjælp af en badebro fremfor at skulle forcere nogle klipper.

Reviewed Sep 16, 2025Superschönes doppelstöckiges Zimmer mit direkter Aussicht aufs Meer. Sehr schönes Hotel, wunderbares Mittags- und Abendessen im Restaurant, jedoch ziemlich teuer. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch die Lage im Norden der Insel ist optimal, um von dort aus nördliche Wanderungen zur Hammershus Ruine oder um den Hammeren herum zu unternehmen. Leider waren bereits viele Restaurants oder kleine Läden in Allinge-Sandvig geschlossen.
Die Dänen scheinen keine Kaffeeliebhaber zu sein. Jedenfalls war weder der Kaffee im Hotel noch derjenige, der ich im Zimmer mithilfe eines Filters selber machte, berauschend.
