Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Man herbergt zwar buchstäblich am Rande Europas, gleichzeitig ist man aber mit einer eigenen Terrasse und Rundumsicht mitten im Geschehen des kleinen Fischerdorfes – neben einem Restaurant und den Fischern an den Molen - soweit man von Geschehen hier reden kann
Wegen der Größe des Apartments braucht man ein gewisses Organisationstalent. Wenn man bei einer längeren Rundreise mit Allwetter-Gepäck unterwegs ist: Der Parkplatz liegt jedoch so nahe, dass die Logistik zwischen dem Auto und dem Apartment sich sehr einfach gestaltet. Und ein Koffer kann auch gegebenenfalls auf der Terrasse übernachten.

Reviewed Oct 19, 2025Peaceful and quiet on the water. What amazing view from inside and outside this modern renovated rorbuer. There’s a wrap around deck too with seating to enjoy the water views. Hosts were very friendly and you can order food at their restaurant next door. Great base to hike and explore.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2025Die Abgeschiedenheit hat uns sehr gefallen. Dieser kleine Ort, die absolut liebevoll hergerichtete Fischershütte und die Hafenromantik mit fantastischen Ausblick. Die nette Frau, die immer für uns da war und uns sogar am Sonntag essen gekocht und "auf die Stube" gebracht hat gilt dabei ein ganz besonderer Dank! Wir werden Gjesvær sicherlich in so manchen Momenten vermissen.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2025The apartment and terrace were spotless clean, and all furniture new and fresh, Also the beautifull terrace was great overlooking the harbour. I wished i had more time to stay longer. I would go there again for sure! The host was also very helpfull and nice. As it is a private apartment , it's better to book at least a few hours in advance before your planned arrival... I arrived an hour after my booking, and the host had not seen the booking yet!

Reviewed Jul 13, 2025The location was wonderful, right on the water with lovely views. The table & chairs inside were perfect for relaxing & enjoying the view - there was also seating on the balcony. Peaceful area with some great walks nearby.
It was quite small, but comfortable & had everything we needed.

Just as advice: More crockeries (spoons eg) and tisane or cookies in case, because there insnt any food store for kilometers and any in the village. Could be useful a notice in the booking presentation.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2023Fantastic little floating place in a small village far away from the rest of the world. Time stands still here. Gorgeous view of the bird islands and the sea. Great host with utterly charming and welcoming attitude. Tasty seafood in the restaurant. So yummy king crab legs. Small kitchen with everything needed to prepare breakfast or any other food.
There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Wish I had booked a longer stay.

It is so close to Sea and somebody worry for us that we can not see Auroras :p (Ofcourse we got it.)

Reviewed Oct 6, 2022Amazing location with a balcony over the ocean. Comfortable and very clean. Host left us some crab in the fridge which was a very nice and thoughtful touch. communication was great and the owner very helpful.
Kitchen is small with limited facilities- a microwave or toaster would have been good but functional and very clean.
