Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Staff were friendly and the food delicious. We brought our dog and could have a meal and drinks with her in the bar. The manager Seamus couldn't do enough for us. The dog friendly accommodation meant we could stay overnight with our dog which is a big bonus

Reviewed Sep 12, 2026Lovely staff. Seamus greeted us and helped us secure our bicycles and power them up. Sadhbh brought us to our rooms and served great coffee next morning. Skelly Hotel were not serving dinner but they directed us to Cooney's Hotel. Nora in the bar later was great fun.
The room was little cramped and there was a broken towel rail in our bathroom.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026I was in Skellys for a family reunion {cousins}.It's a lovely traditional pub cum guesthouse establishment. My room was fairly basic but perfectly clean and comfortable with plenty of room to swing a cat. Bed linen and towels were of a high standard and staff were lovely. The breakfast was hearty.
Lighting in the room could be better but it wasn't really aproblem

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Skelly’s was my favorite place in Ireland. I stayed for 3 nights and from the moment I walked in I felt like family. Everyone is so friendly and the food is amazing. It also feels like the heart of the community - so many fun events. There’s also a great park a few minutes down the road where you can sit by the river. Idyllic !

Reviewed Jun 21, 2026Fantastic welcome and friendly service from Seamus and really great warmth, hospitality, atmosphere and food. We really appreciated the breakfast and local information as well. The location is great and we are so glad we stayed here. It was good value for money. The staff worked hard to make us comfortable.
Everything was great with our room and bathroom - just an issue with the occasional smell of cigarette smoke coming from a source ouside our room. A minor added suggestion would be to include some shower gel in the bathroom.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2026Wir wurden direkt super freundlich empfangen. Da wir mit unserem Baby unterwegs waren haben wir ein Zimmer abseits des Pubs bekommen. Somit also kein Zimmer direkt darüber. 😀 Es war auch nicht laut für einen Freitag. Kleines Frühstück gibt’s ab 9:30Uhr.
Solltet ihr mit einem Kleinkind reisen, wäre etwas zum Abdunkeln des Zimmers nicht verkehrt. Es gibt Oberlichter, die sich nicht abdunkeln lassen. Mülltüten und Krepp sind da sinnvoll.

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026Skellys is a little gem, from the moment you walk in there is a warm welcome from friendly staff, A beautiful bar with an old world feel, The food is so good 10/10 and a good choice of beers on tap including locally brewed beers from widestreet brewing. Seamus was such a gentleman taking time to chat to us. The bedrooms are fresh and clean and apear to be recently decorated. A wonderful stay at a wonderful property with wonderful staff great food and beers and great value for money. Definitely going to make Skellys our go to weekend away destination in Ireland.

We arrived just before 20:00, there was no food available as it was early in the week, we had to go down the street and were only just on time to get food there. Breakfast starts at 09:00, we were at our customer visit 30mins away at 09:00! Who has breakfast at 09:00??

Very noisy on Saturday night, can hear absolutely everything up in the room, didn't get much sleep. A thick layer of dust on every surface in the room. No soap in the bathroom. Breakfast room was dark and looked unclean; we didn't stay for breakfast.

Messed around after checking in. Found out toilet blocked. Staff promised toilet would be fixed. Returned after attending funeral to discover plumber wasn’t going to attend, so I demanded we be moved. Moved to a twin room with no heating working. Only one PowerPoint to charge phone. Nothing for my partner. No toiletries to shower. Really poor service.

Never have I been so impressed by a combination of warmth, professionalism, and just good homely food and atmosphere. Two absolute Gentlemen, and I will most definitely be back. And hopefully soon.

The stairs leading up to the rooms could be replaced as well as some fresh paint but that is very minor. Check out was a bit confusing. We had an early flight the next morning and walked downstairs to find the place pitch black and the doors locked. Unfortunately, because we left so early the breakfast available were a few boxes of cereal without milk. We were unsure if when we unlocked the doors to leave if an alarm would go off or not.
