We loved almost everything about it. Tv could be frustrating for sport lovers, as it is standard size and WiFi is slow, otherwise no complaints

Amazing location with super friendly hosts. This must be our 3rd or 4th visit. Absolutely love staying at the Spookhuis. It feels like living on a farm while still only a few minutes from the town centre.

Nothing serious, but the hot water in the shower can do with a little bit more pressure.

Our host, Lesley was welcoming and friendly. She even provided fresh eggs for our breakfast! The accommodation was lovely...clean and comfortable with everything that was needed. I highly recommend a stay here.

I loved everything

As always, the Spookhuis was one of the main highlights of our trip. The hosts are amazing and friendly people, the setting is picture perfect, and it's a hop-skip away from everything, and the whole experience is like gold. Very happy to recommend!

There was absolutely nothing wrong or out of place. Everything was neat and tidy and the hosts went out of their way to make it another unforgettable experience. The only thing we didn't like was that we had to leave again! :\

Wonderful farm-like setting in this small town. Lesley is a very kind host. The accommodation offers everything you need and was much more spacious than expected. Highly recommended!

We love our stays at the Spookhuis, and will definitely be back. From being greeted by the lovely hosts, the clean and comfy home and bonus they have 2 friendly dogs on the property. A true home away from home, so much so, we extended our stay an extra night!

The unit is spacious, very clean, well equipped and offers a quiet break away from hustle and bustle. It is nicely furnished and the land lady is friendly and helpful.

Some of the equipment was not working. We had no hot water in the showers. There were no games or puzzles available to use. Small things like no soap in the bathrooms.

The view is spectacular and the accommodation is spacious and comfortable

A wonderful farm stay with welcoming host Lesley, who went above and beyond to see I'm settled in, recommend local attractions, yoga classes in Napier (a ten minute walk from Spookhuis) etc. Loved the ducks, ducklings, chickens, dogs, beautiful views. Large cosy home with comfy bed, great pressure shower, well equipped kitchen with scullery and dishwasher. Perfect for a working retreat (fast WIFI). Napier is a charming village. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

Clean, spacious, lovely host

Awesome! A very large two-story house on a farm with lots of animals. It has everything you need, even a washing machine and a dishwasher. We really loved it! We had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave! The hostess is very nice.

Everything,. The place is much nicer than the photos. It is very spacious. Well equipped, and the great thing is that it has a front and back porch. The location was perfect. On the edge of (a very small) town so ii could just step out and go for a nice long run on a dirt road. Oh, and the dogs and chickens are friendly

It is a lovely two bedroom apartment. Very spacious with a beautiful view over the valley. And no, the place is not haunted!

The water pressure is a bit low, especially in the shower.

The rural setting and peace and quiet made it a wonderfully restful couple of days. Despite the rural feeling, the apartment is still within a short walking distance from Napier.

There was really nothing we didn't like. One could argue that the flooding of the access road was a negative, but not really, as it added to the sense of adventure.

Lesley is a great host and was always available to assist or advice on activities to do in the area.

Casa stupenda!!!!! Bella, grandissima, molto accogliente, con tutto il necessario e anche di più, su due piani (con soppalco), vista meravigliosa, una bella stufa per l’inverno, gli animali fuori, i proprietari davvero accoglienti e disponibili. Luogo di relax, luogo di ispirazione, luogo dove condividere e stare bene con chi si viaggia. A chi può consiglio di trascorrere qualche notte: vale davvero la pena!

The location is lovely and quiet. It is an ideal getaway, especially for families with the animals on the property. There was enough blankets and the beds kept us very warm for the cold winter weather. The hosts are amazing, always very accommodating and helpful.

A well stocked kitchen for all your needs, but could use more mugs.

A bit noisy in them morning.

Lovely place with a fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Spacious and cozy, with a beautiful view from the stoep. We had a great time exploring the town and trying out the local coffee shops.

One thing to be aware of is that there’s a private house attached to the Spookhuis. You’re aware of the family and their small child, living there. You can hear their conversations and music. While it doesn’t interfere with the experience, it does shift the atmosphere a bit.

What a great home from home, this is. Very well equiped kitchen for lovely homemade meals, beds are super comfy, the cottage has the most amazing farm feel and views. Cottage is bigger than expected from pics and best value for money you'll find anywhere in the area. We will definitely be back

Large cottage with great views and farmyard animals provides excellent value for money experience. Friendly hosts and friendly dogs were the cherry on the top 😁

All you need is there. Coffee tea milk and all the rest. Braai facility. Comfortabel beds and bedding.

Location. Size. Very well stocked with everything needed incl Washing machine and dishwasher. Milk, spices&butter. Lovely warm bed. Chickens. Friendly dogs. A piece of Quiet and Calm. Allowed a late book out. Thank you for easy access to owners. Much Appreciated.

No bathroom(toilet) for upstairs room- have to use stairs during night for bathroom run. Probably easier in summer, cold in winter

Although our stay was work related, the relaxed atmosphere and silence felt like vacation. This was our 2nd stay at Spookhuis. The unit is very comfortable, and the view is beautiful. Lesley & Ian are very friendly and made us feel at home.

After a long day at work, it was nice to have a good bed to sleep in. It was very quiet and relaxing stay.
