Gistholmen

L'arxipèlag és una meravella, i Gistholmen és un paradís. Molt recomanable fer les 3:30 hores de trajecte des del centre d'Estocolm en ferry. Hem estat pràcticament sols en aquesta preciosa illa, anant en barca, banyant-nos, a la sauna, passejant pels increibles boscos, o senzillament contemplant la bellesa de la illa i els seus voltants. Les casetes de fusta son molt boniques, espaioses (erem 3 adults), netes, i amb tot el necessari. I si trobaves a faltar alguna cosa, segur que la trobaves a la casa gran. La casa gran és increible, hi ha espai com per celebrar una gran festa, una cuina amb absol utament de tot, una taula de ping pong, jocs...tot i ser una illa on et sents lluny de tot, les instalacions són increiblement còmodes i convenients. Els responsables de la illa són molt amables i propers, i va ser un plaer parlar amb ells i saber més coses de l'illa. Per exemple ens van explicar que a l'hivern és preciós amb la neu esquitxant les illes, que es veuen foques, alces, i fins i tot aurores boreals. Vaig marxar plorant, no volia marxar! No oblidarem mai aquests dies a Gistholmen, el recomano molt molt, però també espero que no s'ompli massa de gent i continui sent el paradís que és per sempre.

M'ha agradat tot

We loved the hut - everything we needed - very well equipped. We also loved the free sauna, and the access to kayaks and rowing boats for rental. Peaceful, and quiet. We used the rowing boat to explore nearby islands which was easier than trying to fit in with the ferries. Highly recommend a trip to Ingmarso for food supplies, exploring, swimming and if you're lucky, the jazz breakfast at the bakery. Heaven.

It was a shame we had to clean our own hut on departure. Perhaps that's normal in Sweden, but I go on holiday (partly) to get away from the housework!

Enkelt, boende i fina välutrustade stugor. Precis det lugn som utlovas på en mysig ö. Mycket fin bastu!

Le calme, la cabane, le dépaysement, le trajet en bateau pour y aller. Très bien tenu et très propre. Séjour au calme très agréable

Peaceful, activities like kayaking & canoeing, sauna, clean & beautiful cabins, lounge where guests can do their bbqs etc. There’s fridge & elec.stove where you can col your own food & it’s fantastic.

There’s no food to buy. One needs to bring food otherwise just take a boat & get to the nearby islands where there are some restaurants and grocery stores.

Very clean, very calm and private place, loved the view from the sauna.

We only stayed for a night, so I wish coffee and linen were available / included.

Our cabin wasn't super clean when we arrived.

Väldigt fräsch, ljus och trevlig stuga. Vi bodde bra med alla bekvämligheter. På ön finns även båt, kanot och en fräsch bastu med badbrygga. Väldigt trevlig och bra stugvärd som fixade det vi behövde! Vi ö-luffade till andra öar och fick se mkt vackert.

Det fanns inte mörkläggningsgardiner och myggfönster i kök. Fick hjälp med temporära gardiner. Kanske lite mer att göra på ön, t ex fotbollsmål och utegym. Stranden skulle behöva städas upp.

The island is peaceful and quiet and the huts are completely surrounded by nature. The sauna is hot and can be used at any time. You can swim at the piers or the one of the few small sand beaches.

Nothing it was perfect

The cabins are clean and comfortable, and the place is very calm.

Från magiska solnedgångar till strålande väder har vår mini-semester på Gistholmen varit helt underbar 🌅✨ Tuff-tuff-båten puttrade oss fram genom Sveriges vackra skärgård, och nu njuter vi fullt ut av lugnet här ute. Den lilla ön, naturen och stillheten,jätte trevlig personal Jag kan varmt rekommendera detta ställe.

Jag gillade allt med boendet. Jag tackar också värden för supertrevligt bemötande!

Le calme, la propreté, le sauna, l’emplacement idéal pour visiter l’archipel.

We were warmly welcomed by a very friendly host, who even took us grocery shopping by boat and was always helpful. The stay was truly refreshing and we would love to come back.

Unser Häuschen Nr.9 hatte eine wunderbare Lage (würde nicht für alle Häuschen gleichermassen zutreffen). Die Insel ist superschön, und die umliegenden Inseln, die man paddelnd erreichen kann, auch. So toll, mit dem Kanu einkaufen zu gehen! Toll, dass es eine Sauna hat. Es ist wunderbar ruhig. Das Beste ist die Liebenswürdigkeit der Gastgeber von Gistholmen. Sie sind wirklich aussergewöhnlich freundlich, eine wahre Freude! Man fühlt sich sehr gut aufgehoben. Toll auch, dass man je nach Bedürfnis total allein für sich sein kann, oder andere Gäste kennenlernen bei gemeinsamen Aktivitäten.

Wir finden die zusätzlich zu zahlenden Services ziemlich teuer. Es wäre schön, wenn die Bettwäsche (250 Kronen pro Person), die Kanu-Benutzung (150 Kronen pro 4h) und die Reinigung (900 Kronen) inklusive wäre. Die Reinigung war nicht in allen Bereichen gut. Das Besteck war schmierig, die Gläser bildeten Schaum, weil das Spülmittel nicht gut gespült war...

Geweldige ligging van het huisje. Prachtige omgeving, de rust. De inrichting van het huisje: van alle gemakken voorzien.

Kan niets bedenken.

The Host was so very helpful really went the extra mile for us. I strongly recommend this as a way to experience the beautiful archipelago and get a bit of traditional Swedish culture :)

Extraordinary nice island location and simple but very comfortable tiny „houses“. Hosts have been very helpful and super friendly. Everything’s easy.

Everything! amazing scenery and cosy cottage

Could maybe have done with a mosquito net on the windows so you can open them and get more fresh air in.

The location was on the water, beautiful views, boats and fishing rods to rent, clean sauna and dock for jumping into water. We made s’mores in fire pit and foraged for berries. The host was helpful in helping us book nearby things to do like kayak rentals and goat herding for the kids.

The cabin was small but clean. For five people we were tight and did not have much space for luggage. You need to go prepared with food. And can paddle or take a ferry to nearby islands to visit a food store.

Barely anything to criticise!

Great location and very nice hosts, the sauna on the shore offered incredible views and paddling to the next island was an unforgettable experience!

The staff was really very friendly. It was quiet on the island, we had plenty of time to relax. The sauna is also just great. The cabin is wonderful with great facilities. The equipment in the kitchen could be a little better, after all you have to transport everything to the island (e.g. kettle, larger pots, towels).

There were hidden costs which were not clearly stated on Booking and unfortunately not on the homepage either (for example you have to pay 250 krone per person for bed linen and towels, the boat costs 150 krone etc.)It would just be better if you could look up the costs somewhere in advance.

Beautiful setting. Nice sauna. Nice possible excursions by rowing boat or canoe. Good common facilities. Simple cabins.

Really nice cabin, clean and has everything you need

We got a different cabin instead of the one we booked because we had a dog, and this one was smaller and older than the one we booked. It wasn’t a big problem, but it’d be good to know it in advance if only some cabins allow for dogs.

Amazing views and great walks in the forest!

I was surprised to have to clean the house before check-out. It was probably written in swedish and small letters anyway in the booking mail but it's important to make it very very clear. Also think that they could offer more family games and fishing equipment. As there's no restaurants or shops in the island we had to bring everything so there was not mush space left for extra equipments and games.

Quaint little island. Cabin was lovely and clean and well equipped. An absolute breakaway from the city hustle.

Calm island for a perfect family vacation. There is a very good bath with direct access to the Baltic sea. Houses have a beautiful view on the sea.

At the beginning of June 2023 there are mosquitoes. So be prepared and bring mosquito spray.
