Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Everything! The house is absolutely lovely, very comfortable, cozy, spotless and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by incredible nature. But what made our stay even more special was Renate. She is an amazing host — incredibly kind, attentive and always willing to help. We truly felt at home and very well taken care of ❤️

Reviewed Mar 28, 2026The cabin is in a great location and perfect for a couple or small family. It is very comfortable and cosy, tidy and has everything you might need. We saw the northern lights from the decking and moose came to visit too. It is perfect for cross country and mountain skiing
The bathroom is off the main bedroom so it would not be recommended for a mixed group, but ideal for a small family. The stairs are steep but we didn’t need to use the bedrooms upstairs.

Reviewed Oct 29, 2025Great stay a bit outside of Tromsø! Renate and her husband are great hosts and it was super easy to communicate with them. The house is really good. It appears to have been refurbished (as least parts of it) but it is still a cosy traditional norwegian cottage by the mountains. The view from the house is incredible with the fjords. And if you're looking for a place to spot northern lights, this is the place to be. As it is outside of town (~25min by car), there are not many lights in the surrounding, so we could literally see the northern lights from the windows, from the balcony, and if you want a spot that is 100% dark, its just walking west for five minutes. I strongly recommend this place!
Nothing major, maybe having a microwave in the kitchen would be nice, even though the kitchen is fully equipped and served us really well; and the bed downstairs was slightly "tilted" to the side, but comfortable anyhow.

Nie ma rzeczy, które mi się nie podobały ale pozwolę sobie na sugestie lepszego wyizolowania okien światłoszczelnymi roletami bo w trakcie dni polarnych jednak na dole jest bardzo jasno. Wspaniałym dodatkiem w przyszłości byłaby mała sauna albo bania z gorącą wodą aby móc się cieszyć przestrzenią na zewnątrz.

Reviewed Feb 22, 2025I would say... Everything. We were so gently welcomed, even late in the night. The owners were so nice, always available for anything and even to share some time and discussions with us. The house is really cute and comfortable. So cosy even more for us in winter when burning a fire and chilling end of day. Well equipped also to cook. The view on the fjord, the mountains, the snow... The northern lights of course. Great place, and recommend it so strongly.
Nothing really... We enjoyed everything. Maybe just not having seen the mooses close to the house. Maybe you'll be luckier.
