Reviewed Aug 23, 2026Fint läge med utsikt över sjön. Fina stugor, förutom att värden låst ett rum. Märkligt. På bokningen på Booking står det 2 rums Chatlet för 2 personer. Det kan vara 1-4 personer. Det betyder att du som gäst har tillgång till hela huset på alla ställen utom här tydligen??
Bemötandet av värdarna. Bokat via Booking, då skickar värden en fråga om när man tänker anlända. Jag svarade ca 14:00. Får ett kort opersonligt svar incheck är 15-21. Oops! Fick en obehaglig magkänsla. Vi var där vid 14:00 Satt ute och åt medhavd lunch. Vid 14:30 var receptionen öppen. Värden/mannen talar inte svenska. I bokningen erbjuds frukostbuffe för 150 kr/person. När jag frågar vid ankomsten om frukosten, säger mannen att han ska fråga sin fru om det blir någon frukost. Det är så få gäster( de stänger Snart för säsongen, enligt mannen) Och frukosten kostar 170 kr/ person. Jag påtalar att det i booking står annat pris. Uppstår en lång diskussion där de visar mig en fransk språkig sida. Jag visar svenska Booking, den stämmer inte enligt paret. Till slut säger jag, vi avslutar denna diskussion, de har inte äns sagt att det serveras någon frukost och nu vill jag inte ha någon oavsett pris. Denna händelse slutar med att vi lämnar detta boende och åkte till Nygårdens B &B. Där vi har en fantastisk vistelse.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Väldigt trevligt ställe, prisvärt! Nyrenoverade fräscha stugor. Sänglinne och handduk ingick. Den bästa äggröran jag har ätit serverades till frukost. Tillmötesgående personal. Helt klart ett ställe jag skulle rekommendera andra att bo på!
Sängarna var något mjuka i övrigt inget att klaga på.

There were no blinds on the front window, which we would have preferred.

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026Schönes Chalet. Wir waren auch beim 2. mal rundum zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder. Leckeres Frühstück, alles liebevoll gestaltet und eingerichtet. Sauber und ordentlich.
Hier gibt es nichts zu meckern.
Jag gillade läget, tyst och lugnt. Bra att det fanns egen toalett och dusch, och kök.
Jag tyckte inte det var helt värdigt sitt pris. Dyrare än många hotell. Liten dubbelsäng, en 2 personers bör vara 160x200, standard mått för Skandinavien.
Dessutom mycket dyr frukost med tanke på att Många hotell kostar 900-1200kr MED frukost i priset. Medan Älvstalodges kostar 1150kr utan frukost i priset.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Stugan var väldigt fin och kändes helt ny. Den var bekväm med fint badrum, sköna sängar, en liten köksdel och en veranda med utsikt över lantliga omgivningar. Frukosten var riklig och mycket god. Allt var enkelt kring bokningen.
Det fanns inget att klaga på alls.

Reviewed Apr 26, 2026Servicen utmärkt, vi kom sent, kl 22.30 men det gick ändå bra. Och så fina prisvärda välstädade stugor. Det enda som har utvecklingspotential är kylskåpet, var inte påslaget när vi kom och höll endast ca 8 grader. Och frysfacket, som inte var så kallt. Älvstagården numera Älvstalodge har sannerligen fått ett lyft med de nya ägarna. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka..

Reviewed Feb 27, 2026Ein so schönes Fleck Erde mit einer liebenswerten Familie die sich um alles kümmert. Sind bereits einmal vor 3 Jahren hier gewesen und können es auch jetzt nur weiter empfehlen. Eine schön eingerichtete Hütte und ein herzlicher Empfang haben für eine schöne Durchreise gesorgt.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2025Super logement ! Les cabanes sont très bien aménagées, ambiance très cosy, tout est hyper propre, on s'y sent et y dort vraiment bien! Les propriétaires sont extrêmement gentils, accueillants et à l'écoute! Le petit déjeuner est magnifique, un vrai régale! De plus, un lac se trouve à proximité, idéal pour faire du paddle ou du kayak.
Allez-y les yeux fermés !!

Houses are small and cute, very clean, however they have kitchen, toilet, and 2 bedrooms.
Very comfortable beed.
Parking just outside the house.
Even though we were late with check-in, due to the traffic and snowy road, the owner was waiting for us and welcomed us after check in hours.
The outside temperature was -10, but inside was +22, very nice and warm.
Very friendly staff, the cabins exceeded my expectations.
It would have been nice to allow charging of EV's, even if with extra cost.

The perfect place to rest, and to enjoy a beautiful sunset, in the nature, two minutes from E4.
The staff is so kind, and makes you feel very welcome!
The "stugans" are super cleaned, provided with all the necessary things, and more.
You can feel at home here.
Even if it is two minutes from E4 (so, perfect position if you are travelling), in this place you can experience an amazing sense of relax and peace, in the beautiful Swedish nature.

Reviewed Feb 19, 2024Our stay was beyond amazing! Our hosts were great to us, super attentive and caring. The rooms are super cosy, have everything one may need and the view, with the snow, is to die for.
The breakfast is fantastic and the location is also great (a few mins away from the main road).
I could not recommend more.

Reviewed Jan 7, 2024Enchanting place close to highway but still surrounded by nature. We spent New Year's Eve there. We had a lot of snow and went for walks in the forest close by with our two dogs. Owners were very friendly and hospitable. Amazing breakfast one of the best I have had in a hotel.
Would be great if each cottage had sauna but the owner said they are planning to build spa. If they could organise some winter activities that would be great like cross country skiing equipment or dog sledding

Reviewed Dec 31, 2023It was easy to find. Even though we came at very late time reception was still working. Room is big enough. I was surprised to see normal toilet paper, not the ussual cheapest 1 layer.
Breakfast was a pleasant surprise - full and delicious.
You can park you car just in front of your cabin which is nice.
Bed was too soft for me, but my wife likes those.
Also no microwave or kettle in the room.

The full breakfast is absolutely amazing!!! Prepared with a lot of attention to details! There is plenty of cold/hot options to choose from. A real bed and breakfast offering!

Great attention to details, clean and new facilities, wonderful breakfast, dogs welcome everywhere, including at breakfast. Hosts speak Dutch and French as well. Wonderful terrace with view over the lake.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2023These quiet, cozy cabins with comfortable beds and well equipped kitchens were just what we needed. The breakfast was beautiful, delicious, with a wonderful view, and able to fill five (hungry, athletic) teenage boys. Heidi & Christophe are kind, knowledgeable, welcoming hosts.
