Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Spacious high ceilings with lots of natural light in beautiful house with large patio to sit and enjoy a coffee. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, toaster and coffee maker. Large modern bathroom very clean with large towels. Short distance to river walk and gondola ride up to high bridge to watch sunsets over Duoro river. Gracious friendly hosts Kai & Maria

A recepção, o carisma e a simpatia do Kai também é um ponto muito importante a ser destacado. Espero um dia ter novamente a chance de lá ficar hospedada :)

Reviewed May 13, 2026Great place to stay, cozy, very clean and comfortable. Kai is such a great host! He welcomed us warmly and went through all the details of the accomodation ensuring that we understood everything. He also gave us tips on how to move around Porto and spots to visit.
Only thing that was not as good is the location, commuting and/or walking around 30 minutes is needed to get to Porto's old city. However, Bolt or Uber are pretty cheap and that helps a lot.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026This is a well-kept apartment with only two rooms, so minimal coming and going. As other reviewers have noted, Kai communicates very well and is a nice guy. He made sure I had all the info I needed to check-in successfully. Everything was clean and each room essentially has its own bathroom. The one I had was available to those who came for yoga, but I either missed the yoga people or they didn't show up during my stay. In either case, it's a nice bathroom.
The room with two twin beds, which is where I stayed, shares a wall with a neighbor who watches a lot of television. Others may not notice or even care much about that ambient noise, and it's not loud per se, but it was persistent enough to be a bit annoying for me.

Cela n'a pas été un problème pour nous mais on peut signaler qu'il n'y a pas de salon : juste une chambre, une salle de bain et une cuisine partagée (le frigo est petit et il n'y a pas de micro-ondes).

Reviewed Sep 22, 2025Kai und seine Familie haben dort einen schönen Ort geschaffen, das Bett war sehr bequem das Bad sehr sauber, wir fühlten uns von Anfang an wohl. Wir wurden herzlich vor Ort empfangen und für alles wichtige informiert. Bekamen gute Tipps. Wir würden diese Unterkunft unseren Freunden die gerne fußläufig alles erreichen wollen weiterempfehlen. In wenigen Gehminuten ist man am Fluss und mitten in der Stadt.

Poner poner alguna pega: echamos en falta un espejo de cuerpo entero, una luz en el espejo del baño y un agarre para salir de la bañera, es un poco alta y algunas personas pueden tener dificultades

Reviewed Jul 18, 2025Tout, kai et la dame qui l'aident sont vraiment de belles personnes, très accueillantes, disponibles. Le logement est agréable, bien placé entouré de personnes du pays. Le resto conseillé a un très bon rapport qualité/prix. Magasin a proximité pour les courses.Nous sommes aller et visiter Porto à pied. Super location.
La chambre avec les 2 petits lits. Les matelas et oreillers ne sont pas adaptés pour des adultes ( trop moues) et une machine à laver le linge serait un plus pour les séjours plus long.

Reviewed Jun 6, 2025Kai是熱情友善的房東，我在照片上被瑜伽房與廚房的照片所吸引，到了現場比我想像得更好。在這裡入住了六個晚上，附近的超市提供我們美好的食材，我們在美麗的廚房烹煮、用餐，早晨或晚上我們在瑜伽房放鬆、瑜珈、冥想，紓解長時間旅遊的疲憊。我們在可愛的小露台上吹風，看鄰居在花園遊戲，是很有生活感的地方。每天我們會走路去坐公車或是火車到城裡看看，很悠閒、方便，這裡相對於城裡很安靜，可以睡得很好～Maria把空間整理的非常乾淨，如果你是對環境整潔有挑惕的人，這裡不會讓你失望，我非常推薦～

Me encantó la sala de meditación realmente es un plus en el alojamiento, Kai es un gran anfitrión, se mostró amable y accesible en todo momento. Cerca hay un supermercado, tiendas de abarrotes y puedes llegar caminando al Duero, tienes las bodegas cerca, es recomendable tomar uber en las noches, pues esta un poco solo, pero el uber esta a buen precio.
La ducha esta nueva, pero no funciona correctamente.

Reviewed Sep 5, 2024È stato un piacere soggiornare in questa casa, pulita e curata anche se un po' distante da Porto ma è possibile arrivarci in pullman o in treno. Kai è stato gentilissimo e presente a tutte le richieste, consiglio vivamente se si vuole stare in una casa lontano dal traffico e stare più in tranquillità
L'unica nota negativa ma non è colpa della struttura è il soggiornare con altre persone, avendo scelto la camera con il bagno privato mi è capitato che chi soggiornasse con me nella casa usasse il mio bagno, chiudete a chiave il bagno

Es war alles super evtl mal eine neue Matratze und ablegemöglichkeiiten im Bad Wenn das andere Zimmer belegt gewesen wäre, wäre es wohl generell etwas eng geworden mit dem Platz. Wenn man sich kennt ,ist das ok aber mit fremden doch etwas intim

The apartment is a bit further away from the Ribeira which means the streets are quiet at night, unlike the area closer to the city center. Getting in and out of the city center was pretty easy and Kai (the host) explained the options to us when we first arrived. It was a very nice stay over all!

Reviewed Jul 24, 2024Localização, decoração da casa, colchões muito confortáveis, o terraço muito agradável, apesar do apartamento ter 2 quartos, só nos cruzamos com os outros hóspedes uma vez, Simpatia do Anfitrião. Fácil estacionar na rua ou numa das perpendiculares. Muito perto da estação de Vila Nova de Gaia. Muito perto de farmácia e supermercado. Faz- se bem o percurso até à ribeira a pé.
Não se consegue tomar duche sem molhar o chão da casa de banho .. As almofadas são muito baixas.

Reviewed May 26, 2024Acomodação é excelente. Quarto espaçoso, iluminado, arejado. A cama é muito boa, bem como lençóis e cobertas. Só sugeriria disponibilizar uma mesa ou aparador, pois há espaço suficiente. Dormimos muito bem. O banheiro, privativo, embora acessado pela área comum, atendeu bem nossas necessidades.Chuveiro ótimo. Há uma cozinha compartilhada bem equipada e bem cuidada, com porta para um terraço aconchegante. Os anfitriões foram muito gentis e disponíveis.
Gostamos de tudo, mas considero necessário fazer duas observações: 1) o acesso à acomodação é por escada, então, pessoas que tenham problemas de mobilidade devem estar atentas; 2) a localização, em termos de serviços, também é muito boa, tudo pertinho (supermercado, farmácia, paradas de ônibus, estação de trem que atende linhas suburbanas e inter-urbanas...), mas fica um tanto distante da Ribeira e de outras atrações. Mas se vc gosta de caminhar (como nós) está tudo bem, especialmente para descer em direção ao rio, caminhando pelos becos e conhecendo as caves.

Al existir otra habitación más , tuvimos problemas con las otras personas que reservaron la otra habitación y a las 8,30 de la mañana aporreaban la puerta porque querían hacer el check in. No fue un problema con el anfitrión sino con los huéspedes que no saben estar no se leen las normas de check in

Apesar de preparada para aulas de yoga e outras actividades e portanto não ter muita mobília ou uma sala como estamos habituados em Portugal, era bastante confortável, com bons quartos, bem limpa, e com uma cozinha acolhedora que dava para uma varanda onde se podia apanhar um pouco de ar.
Nada a apontar que seja relevante. Houve um imprevisto que o anfitrião tentou resolver da melhor maneira, mas no geral foi tudo óptimo.

The room we stayed in could have done with an extra table - we had one tiny bedside table to share only.

Reviewed Oct 7, 2023This looks like a newly refurbished apartment, it has a nice feel to it, really sunny and clean, with everything you need for a short or long stay. The host is very communicative and responsive. The flat has two rooms both with private bathrooms and a shared kitchen with a lovely terrace. There's also a meditation room with a balcony. The location is really quiet and easy to reach from the train station by a 10min walk.
There's not much other than perhaps it would have been nice to have some toiletries. The other thing was that the people staying in the other room left the kitchen dirty both days we were there, but it didn't bother us as we only went there to sleep. I guess we were just unlucky about this, but the host said he would take care of this issue for the future.

Faltou apenas uma TV com canais a cabo no quarto, fica a dica.

Располагается в пяти минутах ходьбы от вокзала Vila Nova de Gaia-Devesas. Отзывчивый хозяин, всегда готовый помочь с возникающими вопросами, которых, впрочем, было немного. Было очень приятно познакомиться с мистером Каем и его семьей.
