Romeo Gay Hotel

So close to old SAN Juan !! Close to the beach as well !!

The pool was great. The place was clean. They even had a room deodorizer that was amazing! Located in a great spot near old SJ. Parking is safe.

The property was very nice and accommodating. Do be aware that if you are utilizing the second bed in the loft, that you definitely need to be in good shape and not afraid of heights to climb the tall metal ladder! That was the only thing that was a little shocker! Once you’re up there, though, it’s very comfortable. And the crew and team there are very polite and accommodating, and most helpful in every way! They offer free water and there is coffee available as well.

Loved it didn’t realize it was a hotel for gay couples but me and my wife stayed in the hotel and everyone around us were very welcoming we loved it

The place was neat, the room was amazing a lot of space, renovated, clean; we really enjoyed our stay.

Mi pareja y yo nos quedamos y definitivamente volveremos. El lugar súper seguro, limpio y el staff mega amigable. Accesible a todo!

The property is exactly as described in terms of amenities and location and seemed like a great place to stay at. The pool was beautiful, the furnishings really nice, and the place looked and smelled clean. Unfortunately, our room had way too many mosquitoes. I think our party got over 15 of them but there were still probably dozens more buzzing around. We brought it up with the front desk who did helpfully offer us a bug spray (Hot Shot Flying Insect Killer) that required us to vacate the room for 15 minutes and ventillate the area after application. For us, it was just too late in the night to deal with the situation and we were uncertain if it would be poisonous for us to get on our luggage. We ended up spraying the room down after removing our bags and left less than an hour after check-in.

We had an amazing stay! Such a fun trip with my bestie. The location is perfect—walking distance to Old San Juan. After exploring, we loved relaxing by the pool. The gated property also made us feel extra safe and secure.

Great stay

Clean quiet room- friendly helpful staff The pool was nice

The check-in process was easy, and the room was spotless and cozy. There was a great atmosphere at night with nearby bars, but there were no places to eat after a certain time. However, during the day, you can find excellent spots for coffee and traditional Puerto Rican breakfast. places to get coffee and Puerto Rican breakfast.

Great place to stay. It has parking. A store right in front and a bar with billiard pool. Nice location and in the hotel there's a pool.

Had a wonderful stay. Everyone was so nice and welcoming.

It was a last minute booking due to an inconvenience in another place, and they were excellent and responsive and we figured out our situation really quick.

Amazing staff! Clean room.

Great place only stayed for the night but definitely would stay again for more days

The room is Very clean secure area you need codes to get in and out and to get into your room

Love this place

Loved the hotel! Room was huge and so pretty! Beautiful pool area and the location is so convenient.

Apartment was huge for such an affordable price!

Great friendly staff. Would stay again. Clean room and area.

This a great hotel

It was an excellent place to stay. Safe and clean. I love it.

Comfortable bed, loved the decor. No elevator.

Super nice area but I’d like to add the room had so man mosquitos for some reason and I never once had a hot shower … other than that everything was great

Clean, spacious, and cute

It was lovely! Lots to enjoy around town. A little bit run down because of the lack of infrastructure investment but I blame that on the government corruption. The hotel was very comfortable and very spacious! Close to everything!

EXCELENTE. LAS ATENCIONES EL PERSONAL TODO EXCELENTE.

The front desk at check-in was great, friendly, and informative.

Nice unique hotel

Very smooth check in

I loved it, i would definitely stay again

I had an amazing time. We’re definitely coming back. I felt safe at all times.

Everything was excellent. But since the hotel is an old building, the owners need to polish the floor. But we don't have any complaints. I will stay there again and I will recommend my friends to stay at Romeo Gay Hotel.

This property is beautiful nice area close to everything

We were kept up late at night with guests blaring music through a speaker at the pool. I called reception to see what could be done and I was met with a "we don't have quiet hours". Unfortunately we had a room right in front of the hotel. There is only an air conditioning in the main bedroom so If you get stuck with the bed up the ladder it is extremely hot. We ended up using the couch to sleep which was extremely uncomfortable. We were woken up in the night by guests shouting eight outside our rooms. The pool was okay but was dirty. The cabanas were cut but were extremely dirty with stains, trash and more. The shower ran out of water when using it. Overall would NOT return.

Cuarto de hotel espacioso y limpio. Cama cómoda y buena para dormir. Piscina limpia. Ubicación perfecta. Volveremos.

I liked that the entrance is gated. Good service to customers. The only con was the shower issue where the water was getting out of the restroom to the hallway. Glad my family and I were able to get moved to another room. Other than that, everything was good and the view from the hotel was great!

I would def come back to this spot and stay longer.

Exactly perfect

I don't like the area. They have 4 property in the are and 2 washers machines . The pool was dirty.

Looks like this hotel is part different hotels owned by the same company. The Romeo gay hotel is being refurbished and it may take a bit more to feel comfortable. I could have chosen any another hotel chances are no matter how uncomfortable another hotel is, it is probably better.

Romeo Hotel it was nice quiet and affordable staff very friendly and professional nice plate to stay close to San Juan.

Excellent option close to everything, is a pretty new hotel, they just opened really recently, the hotel is still in process to be completed like the bar area, but I like everything, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I recommend.

Hotel was a great stay. No food around. Beach walking distance.

Good place to stay me and my wife loved the hotel g

I liked the pool area. In the ad, my room was offering view to the city, the only view I got was to the parking lot

These properties are managed wonderfully! Like being home with friends

it was perfect for me and my two friends. the 24/7 plunge pool was a perfect! the beds were cozy and clean definitely recommend

Área outside looks schetchy but hotel is very nice everything was clean. Nice mini fridge good d size to filt liquor bottles anything you need

Staff was very kind and helpful. Great team you have there. Thanks for making our stay memorable

The room was very nice like a studio apartment. They had a microwave in the main lobby/shared space with a mini fridge/freezer in room. The staff were very kind and helpful. Pool area was clean and comfortable. Location was perfectly situated between old San Juan and a local beach. Getting around was an affordable experience using Uber. Pretty much everyone spoke English but if you know some Spanish I suggest trying to use some of it to embrace the culture of Puerto Rico. I will say if you intend to use the upper bunk/sleeping area you need to be capable of climbing a ladder. My kids thought it was super cool and enjoyed the unique area. I did not have an issue with water not getting hot/warm as stated in prior reviews. You just need to let it warm up a little that’s all. We plan on visiting again and will be staying at Romeo Gay Hotel.

The complex is wonderful. There is a nightclub next door and the music kept me up most nights until 2am.

The hotel itself is aesthetically nice, and most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, there were a few things that made the stay less comfortable than expected. One major issue is that the second bed is located in a makeshift loft, which isn’t clearly mentioned in the booking description. You have to climb a fairly uncomfortable ladder to access it, which may not be ideal for everyone. We also experienced issues with the water not working for an entire day, and there was poor communication from the staff during that time. The toilet had plumbing problems as well and was unusable for two days, which was frustrating. While the property has potential, the lack of transparency and basic maintenance made the stay disappointing overall.

It’s worst in person

Amazing enployees

When people do activities right in front it's so hard to get in and out one of the nights I just didn't go out because too much crowd but it was a good place to stay in the water seater too cold or too hot but it's a good place to be and you're close to everything in the old San Juan

Everything was beautiful. Staff was nice and kind with everyone and the pool was amazing

very nice place! had a wonderful time with my sister

I loved everything. How it lite up at night the pool was very warm

Check in, Check out and Parking was easy. Love the propertly and the Customer Service. Also the great restautant around the area.

I was very pleasant and great location

Friendly customer service and accommodating

Property was clean. Had many problems with the door yo the room. Staff is very pleasant, and helpful. Would not stay there again. Lacks many useful accessories. Especially in bathroom. No place to put things. Not accommodation for seniors.

I paid for two double beds. I was coming in with three people. Unfortunately, none of us could climb the ladder to get up to the second double bed at the loft area. It was a bit dangerous to climb up that ladder. advertisements don’t communicate the fact that this is not a handicap accessible property. It may not even be accessible to people with physical limitations like seniors. So the three of us had to sleep together in one bed crowded. When we asked to switch room so that we could get two accessible beds, they said that all the rooms in the facility are exactly the same.

Very nice staff communication is excellent had a great stay we will be back

This is a great property! Cant wait to come back and explore their other properties. They definitely know what they are doing and their hospitality is fantastic!

First, the property is beautiful, the staff are very attentive, and other than having no hot water, it is really a wonderful properly. I live in Puerto Rico, and I've stayed in plenty of places that don't have hot water. But I knew that when I made the reservation and paid an appropriate price for the room. For the over $250 per night that I paid for this stay, I should at least have been told up front that there is no working hot water. In fact the owners of this hotel own multiple (beautiful) properties: Elokut, La Ferreteria, Urbana Hotel, Juliette, Nando's Place, Casa Pelayo, El Colonial, Romeo and Oliver, and according to several of the folks that work there they are all on the same "solar" hot water system that hasn't been working for at least six months. I was really looking forward to a last-minute stay in San Juan, but honestly waking up in the morning and having to take a cold shower just ruined it for me. I did raise a concern with the front desk who sent me a form to request a refund or discount, but no response. If you're OK with not having hot water, this is a beautiful property. But if want to take a hot shower, this and the sister properties are not the place to stay.

Nice and new. Helpful staff. A small microwave would have been great. Perfect location ! The fridge even had a large freezer so a bag of ice would fit in it.
