The bath panel was just propped up and not fitted. Looked broken. That was the only thing!

Door code was a little complicated

Emma made us so welcome. Gave good advice where to get evening meals. Beds were so comfortable and we had a really good night's sleep. Very clean and comfortable establishment .

The beds where past there best and although I like cats I was not so keen to finds it lounging on a different seat each time we saw it, especially not nice to see it asleep on a seat in the breakfast room.

The room had a smell in it like the drains and there was no actual parking for the hotel had to park in the street which was full most of the time.

Ende August 2026 eine Nacht in einem Einzelzimmer im Oyo Croketts Hotel verbracht (115 €). Das Zimmer war winzig, das Bad noch winziger. Das Waschbecken in meinem Wohnmobil ist größer. Oberflächlich sauber, aber man darf nicht genauer unter oder hinter oder neben Waschbecken/Toilette/… schauen. Zumindest Betten/Laken und Handtücher waren sauber! Die Böden sind schief, und das Bett steht mit Kopf nach unten. Ich hab andersrum versucht zu schlafen. Im Zimmer war es unglaublich warm, man konnte das Fenster aber nicht öffnen, weil sofort Horden von kleinen, fiesen Stechmücken reinkamen. Mobiliar ist insgesamt alt und fällt an mehreren Stellen auseinander. Parkplatz auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz gegenüber vom Hotel. Personal war freundlich, aber nicht übermotiviert. Bin gleich morgens weiter, ohne Dusche, ohne Frühstück. Hatte keine besonders gute Nacht und kann dieses Hotel beim besten Willen nicht empfehlen.

Bed linen and towels were clean.

Dirty bathroom, lots of mildew. Mildew on outside wall of room. Generally grubby, especially breakfast room. Cobwebs. Two double sockets next to one bed so inconvenient for other guest. Door locked itself, causing issues. Breakfast coffee machine was $#/¥ What breakfast pastries? Outside door of room led to fag butt alley

The room (no 11) on the face of it looks lovely and fresh with a far reaching view over the countryside and is very quiet. Plenty of teas and coffees, hairdryer, iron and board, fan, tv. Room service daily with towels changed and teas and biscuits replenished. Large breakfast area over two rooms - they also provide breakfast for The Board Inn which is next door. Staff that I saw were nice and friendly and helpful (remote needed more batteries) though some breakfast staff were unenthusiastic. There is a paved courtyard with tables and chairs in the front. You can buy drinks from the supermarket opposite or The Board Inn and sit out there. Adding eleven photos, not sure if they will be shown. The location is perfect for the centre of Hawes. Contrary to the description on here there is not a parking spot with the room. When I asked where it was I was told it is incorrect on this site. Not sure why hotel hasn't corrected it. There are, however, large spaces on the road in front and in a small free car park opposite so this was not an issue. The reception is rarely manned.

But... the price leads you to believe this is better than it is. It is extremely tired and not very clean, with stains on the carpet which Vanish would easily remove. There is rust on the radiator in bathroom and the glass shelf is missing leaving only the brackets though they were handy for hanging the towel on! The bed is very soft and squeaks whenever you move. I asked if they could sort out the squeaking bed as it was keeping me awake. There was no change. I was glad I took my own pillow. The receptionist was outside smoking and cuddling a man when I arrived. No gas on one day so they could not cook poached eggs, but could do scrambled. Grubby and untidy breakfast bar area in second dining room with small flies in the sink and dirty fridge and skirting board. The reception is rarely manned with an 'emergency' number that does not work. One evening at 8.30pm I returned to find a man wandering around the reception area. He wanted to check in but there was no one there. The bell and the emergency mobile phone number did not work. The last I heard was he was trying all the doors to find an empty room to sleep in!

Mitten im Zentrum an der Hauptstrasse gelegen, hatten wir ein Zimmer mit Sicht auf diese. In der Nacht war es jedoch auffällig ruhig. Die Lage war von daher sehr gut. Wir konnten das Auto direkt vor dem Hotel parken. Das Frühstück wurde auf Bestellung frisch gemacht und war schmackhaft.

Das Zimmer war warm...sehr warm. Die niedrige Deckenhöhe, machte es nicht besser. Das Bad 🫣...nur so viel: Der Handtuchhalter fiel bei Berührung aus der Wand. Die Betten...es gibt bessere.

Room needs refurbishing badly. Stains everywhere and the bathroom was terrible. Black mould. Wallpaper falling off and a shower that leeks everywhere. I know times are tough for small hotels but there are limits and it just isn't acceptable to expect customers to pay for such poorly maintained rooms.

Lack of spare sockets in room - extension cables to power lamps. Had to unplug things to boil the kettle down by the bedside. Shower waste bubbled up with nasty smell when releasing hand basin plug. Noise from below, hall, and next rooms.

Room was dirty needed a good deep clean, carpets had stains on, bathroom smelt of urine, shower tiles were cracked, cobwebs above the bed and behind the beds needed a good clean. The hotel owner seemed fed up with the amount of people she gad for breakfast as all the hotels amalgamated there for breakfast

Absolutely amazing breakfast

Fantastic breakfast. Delicious vegetarian full English breakfast for me and full English meat version for my husband, piping hot and the chef was very friendly too. Our room was overall very nice - spacious and comfortable and pleasant. Great location in the centre of Hawes.

Hotel overall seemed a little tired and outdoor seating area was lovely but needed some tidying/tlc. The bathroom was mainly good, spacious with a good shower and lovely fluffy towels but the heated towel rail was a bit rusty/yellow stained

Clean, warm, dry. Perhaps a little basic, but you won't do better at this price - besides, you don't go to Hawes to sit in a hotel room all day :)

It's right in the middle of Hawes and it was very quiet. I liked It's homely atmosphere. It wasn't expensive. My bed was comfy with nice bedding. The bathroom was tiny but adequate and had very nice towels and quality toilet paper. Breakfast was freshly cooked and the coffee was good

I couldn't control my own heating. The lock on my room door didn't seem very secure. But really - the few shortcomings were reflected in the price

I think we had one of the better rooms but not particularly clean. We ate breakfast the first morning and didn’t the rest of the trip due to lack of cleanliness in the dining area.

Parking is a bit of a challenge as Hawes is always busy. Wifi would only connect once you left the room but otherwise fine.

Not sure if quilt cover was correct size for the 2 beds pushed together as a bit on the small side. Marks on room carpet but it was cream and don't think it was dirty just marks from previous guest spillages and for price charged was definitely not an issue.

The location is central and the staff we met were very nice.

The hotel is extremely dated. We stayed in the triple room, the wallpaper was on wonky and there was mould on wall near the external door. The beds were clean and comfy, but the bathroom was terrible and the worst we have ever stayed in. The breakfast was fine, but we felt that given the state of the hotel we should have paid half of what we paid!
