K9 Myeongdong Hotel

The Hotel location is superb, few meters away only from Myeongdong Metro Station and Bus Station going to airport. The hotel also is right in the middle of Myeongdong shopping district. There is a money exchange when you go down the building, nearby convenience store like GS25 and 7-11, plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. You are also a few meters away from the main shopping district, street food area, etc. The facility of the hotel itself is guest-friendly, they give free water and free cup noodles! There is also an option for self-serve check in.

The size of the room is small, not enough space for large luggage. Also, the construction of the partitions is not okay for me, you can somehow hear the guests from the adjacent room. We hope the management can improve the acoustics of the walls/partitions.

The location was probably the only good thing.

We booked the room as pictured with a city view and paid for these amenities. Despite this being the only room available to book, the room we got didn’t even have a window at all and looked like a prison cell. I went to the staff to complain and showed them the room I had booked, they explained that this room was currently taken??? I told them that this was the room we booked and were never told of any other room options, otherwise we would have booked a different hotel. We spent one night in this room however were moved to the room we booked on the second and third nights, but we still did not get what we paid for. The room was small and very dirty, there was a layer of dust over the windowsill, blood stains on the bedding and pillow cases, a booger on the wall beside the headboard and hair in the shower. The shower itself was inside the bathroom, so every time you wanted to shower the entire bathroom and toilet would get soaked. Absolutely would NOT recommend.

The one nice thing is the location. It was great to be so close to the train station, bus station, and Meyongdong in general. The a/c in our room also worked very well.

The pictures are deceiving. The breakfast was just ramen or corn flakes and milk available from 730-1130. There was only one point where I even saw the staff because they only worked 2 hours in-person throughout the day, so if you had a problem then good luck. Their check-in process was a bit of a mess and the instructions we were given to remote-checkin did not match what actually happened. I also felt like the room was barely cleaned between people. The hotel knew we were going to have two people in the room but only provided one decent-sized towel. There were other towels available, but they were not true bath-towel sized. We knew that the shower would be in the same little room as the sink and toilet, which was fine, but the bathroom area in general did not feel clean. The grout was full of sparkles and there was definitely mold. Also, the seals on the door were broken in some areas so we had to be careful because water would leak from the bathroom to the main room. Underneath the bed and between the window and the bed were super dusty and gross. Also, there was a fridge provided but it never really kept anything cold. We were certainly not expecting luxury given the pricepoint, but I was at least expecting it to feel a bit cleaner and professional. It just felt a bit strange overall.

謎の虫に顔と身体中刺されました。虫にさされた場合は滞在中に言わないとダメみたいです。最初も謝罪なく対応されましたし、写真を送ったのですが、皮膚トラブルと言われました。 虫が多く、壁に虫を潰した跡や天井の照明にも虫がたくさんいました。 三日間の滞在中雨の日もありましたが、外のすぐそばの廊下にずっとマットレスが数枚放置されていて衛生面では不安を感じました。 ファミリールームは予約時は片方の部屋はツインだったのですが、予約後、滞在直前に確認したところ、写真が追加され、2段ベッドの部屋に案内されました。

Konumu harika, oda küçüktü ama bunu bekliyordum zaten, check in işlemlerinin kolaylığı da harikaydı, ortak alanda su, kahve olması ve 24 saat kullanılabilmesi çok iyiydi. Havaalanından ulaşım çok rahattı ve metronun yanında olduğu için her gün gezmek çok kolay oldu. Tam gece pazarının yanında olduğu için her şeye ulaşım aşırı rahattı.

The location is highly accessible—it's just a one-minute walk to Myeongdong Station. However, the place itself is just okay, and it feels a bit expensive for what you get.

明洞の街中だったのでロケーションは文句無しでした。

シングルルームに泊まったのですが、トイレと洗面台の間にシャワーがあり、すごく狭くてバスルームが使いづらかったです。 韓国だと結構当たり前の浴室の作りですが、日本人にはとても慣れないスタイルなので気をつけてください。 部屋にスリッパがなかったので、近くのダイソーでスリッパを買いました。

Very nice stay. The room was very small but quite nice. The location is very central and easy to get to public transport.

The rooms are not soundproof so you can hear the conversations of the next rooms.

It is very close from the station and the busy area of Myeongdong.

Not very clean and the amenities in the room were not enough. The conditioner container was full of water.

The staff were nice and the location was good

This is not a hotel. Its closer to a frat house or a students residence. Just a bunch of tiny rooms around a common hall. Many of the pictures and information are either misleading or false. We booked two rooms with city view, and instead we got rooms were it only fits the bed and the bathroom door, nothing else, that had a tiny square on the wall for a window thats is not see through, and opens up to a wall. So no view or even daylight. It felt like we were in a prison cell. The bathroom is tiny, and there's no bath or shower. You have a shower head tied to the sink, and you shower in the middle of the room, weating everything around. The bathroom door also doesn't close completly, so no privacy, and the water goes into the room. Only two available outlets in the room, far from the bed. But if you need to use one, you need to turn of the light or the dehumidifier. And the room is full of humidity. Even the sheets were wet from it. The cleaning is very poor. A lot of dust next to the beds, and mold in the bathroom, in the ceiling, door and toilet. Also no cleaning services for the duration of our stay. They claim to have sound proof walls, but thats also a lie. Since the rooms are all around the reception and the breakfast area, you can hear everyhting. Everyone coming in and out. And we could also hear the conversations from the people in the room next to ours. The breakfast pictures are fake. They give you water, milk and cold noodles. That's it. They dont let you eat in your room. And if they find a stain, they'll charge you 200.000 won. And one final detail, that I thought i should also share. In the loby, they have a sign that says that if you give them a 5 star review, they'll offer you a 5000 won cupon or two free ramen boxes. So ... if you have enough budget, I'd advise you to go stay somewhere else. Its not worth it.

Room was a little small but I didn't mind it as much. The toilet/bath is also very small, also don't mind. But the bath towel is very small and I cannot tell the difference if it was a bath towel or floor mat. They both are the same size. Made me wondered if I am wiping my face with a floor mat. One of the towels had marks on it. The bedroom floor were some what sticky. Could do more with a little more cleaning.

Room so small, once you open luggage no space to even move, no space for furniture like dressing table or even a mirror in room to get ready. No shower in bathroom only hand held shower and no demarcation between shower and toilet so after shower the floor is completely wet and then you have to get ready on that wet floor. I was on 4th floor right outside communal eating area which means i could hear anytime was using the space even late at night. For $750 AUD for 4 nights this place is a complete catfishing situation. It felt like a capsule hotel.

シャワーとトイレの境がない、シャワーをかける位置がかなり上でさらにシャワーヘッドが直角だから浴びるのが大変だった。境目がないからもちろんびしゃびしゃになる。 鏡のあるところにコンセントがないからドライヤー、ヘアアイロン使うのに困った。

Right in the heart of Myeongdong

Room was super small, it was unlike the ones shown in the pictures. I stayed in the Single room and there was no space for the luggage.

まず写真と大幅に違いました。ベッドの下は埃が溜まっていて シャワールームとトイレがなんの仕切りもなく 一緒になっていて シャワーに入るとトイレ全体がびしょ濡れに。 隣の部屋の音も一緒に滞在しているかのように 聞こえて来ました。

アクセスがとても良かったです。最寄りの地下鉄の駅からもバス停からも近いです

お風呂とトイレが同じ空間にあり浴びるのが難しかったです💦

Habitación muy pequeña pero ya está en la descripción. La mayoría esta asi. Yo viaje sola y solo me importo ir de tiendas y cosmética. Para dos personas sería demasiado pequeño, la ducha está conectada con lavamanos, pero estaba todo muy limpio y perfecto. Repetiré

They changed me to a better room after I gave feedback to the staff that the shower n tap were leaking and that the aircon was too cold. Overall I was happy with the staff response to my feedback. And facilitated a pleasant stay.
