Hillside Resort Pattaya

Avoid this place at all costs. It is an absolute dump and looks nothing like the photos advertised. The entire property is extremely misleading and poorly maintained. There is also no lift, which is a major issue for anyone with mobility problems. I even emailed ahead of my arrival to make them aware of my accessibility needs, yet I was still placed on the top floor. Their excuse was that all other rooms were taken, which is completely unacceptable given I had notified them in advance. The staff are unhelpful, dismissive, and make you feel like you are a burden rather than a paying guest. Customer service is clearly not a priority here. One morning I went for breakfast, which was included in my booking package, only to be approached while I was already eating and told breakfast was not included. I was left feeling embarrassed and had to stop eating, find my booking confirmation, and go to reception to prove I was entitled to it. The level of disorganisation is shocking and completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, there is constant noise from neighbouring properties. Dogs bark throughout the night and into the early hours of the morning, making it almost impossible to get any proper sleep. There appears to be no attempt by management to address this or ensure guests have a comfortable stay. Overall, this was a very disappointing and stressful experience. Poor accessibility, rude staff, terrible organisation, misleading advertising, and excessive noise. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to look elsewhere.

Pretty average property away from main area to Pattaya with silent surroundings and less places to eat nearby. Quite old hotel and needs alot to renovation specially washrooms. Hotel has good garden area and beautiful pool. Reception staff needs to learn hospitality as they are quite reluctant in Checkin Checkout policies.

Staff behaviour is not good.too much mosquitoes at hotel.i will never suggest this property.worst experience 😡😡😡😡

Everything best

Large room with good AC. I enjoyed the onsite restaurant eating there everyday. 7-11 nearby and walkable to downtown

Old hotel but location ok. Nice grounds. Building site next door. Noisy!

Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed. The management at this hotel needs to be changed. The hotel has a bad rat problem, new feces every day in the room. The place stank of perfumes to cover up the stink. The employees seem unhappy and over worked. Bad location, must walk about 1 km on busy street to get to restaurants.

Got a deluxe room. Certainly a little tired, but for the price, I really couldn't grumble. Decent television, hot water in shower, and reasonable size room. Others mentioned grumpy staff in their revi, but they seemed fine. On the whole good value for the very reasonable rate. N.B. got a cheaper rate through the hotel's own website

There is no LIFT or help with bags. The pool is not clean. I paid extra for Supreme room. My neighbour paid extra for Deluxe room. We both got brown old Standard room (photo’s added) overlooking car park. I complained until my emails were ignored. Half hotel (overlooking garden) is probably quite nice and refurbished. The other half including my room (309) is dirty, run down, old and disappointing.

Well located on a quiet side street to the main Pra Tam Nak boulevard. The place is rather welcoming until you reach the Front Desk where the staff will leave you standing for endless minutes, hook they are on their cell phone.. Nobody seems to speak any English but a photo of your booking does make things happen.. Functional and clean room, tiny outdated bathroom and pleasant natural day light. Good for a short stay

If you want to have your worst experience, definitely stay in this hotel. We were a group of 6 friends who stayed in this hotel for only one night and it was the worst experience for us. The staff is very rude, the photos of the rooms are completely different from the photos on the website, the rooms are very dirty, the service is terrible, there is no censorship and the pool is small and the location is far from everything.

This was one of the worst hotels in my life and I left early in the morning. The room photo did not match the advertising photos at all. Look at the photo of the bathroom. How can this be in a normal hotel? This is not dirt, it cannot be washed off, perhaps it was left by previous tenants to take revenge for the uncomfortable stay. The photo is real. All the accompanying feelings were also present. The night staff selectively understands people with English and does not help with requests. The stay was filled with severe discomfort. I strongly do not recommend visiting this hotel.

paid for an expensive room, got no coffee supplied or internal table and chairs,so assume they gave us a basic room, never got dealt with despite asking

Good Location

ทำเลดี

Floors were worn out. Bathroom was dated, tub has serious water stains. Windows had cracks, hence mosquitoes in the room. Quite the contrast to previous property we stayed night before.

Towels

A lovely resort with friendly staff very clean lovely restaurant on site with a great cheap breakfast. Really enjoyed my stay there Great location I slept like a log there. would highly recommend this boutique hotel

Thanks to the hotel staff for taking good care of our requirements. The property location is so beautiful and the way Mr. Sham has maintained the property is too amazing. We loved the ambience, food, service, and the way staff treated us. Overall it was a beautiful and a lovely experience of 3 days at the property. A really good to go place 🫰😊 Thank you once again to the whole team. 🙌❣️

I had a pleasant stay with my family - the staff was very helpful and welcoming and at times went out of their way to assist inspite of not understanding English well..special thanks to our driver Ching who took us around wherever we needed to and Kum Preeda and K.

Looks really nice on arrival - very handily located for the Pattaya Big Buddha. Reception - guy behind the counter appeared to not know that he worked in a hotel - comical conversation where he didn't know anything about the check-in process or how to check we had a booking. Eventually, after a chat with another staff member we ended up with the room we had booked. Be aware, there are NO LIFTS so if you have heavy cases, be prepared to get sweaty! Very hard bed with a mattress that had seen better days - the springs creaked every time you moved. This is a shame as the room was spotless and the cleaner (she was just finishing as we arrived) had taken the time to spray the room for bugs and had obviosly cleaned the room to a high standard. Another hotel that has a tired feeling where too little investment has been made in either facilities or staff well being - very disgruntled staff that appear frightened to do the right thing i.e. look after the customer! Very noisy air conditioning that vibrated through the room all night. One of those "run around until you get wet" showers. Toilet that continually overflowed so running water noise all night. Breakfast was a complete joke - obviously the staff have been told only to give out a certain amount of things (each plate of items is carefully counted out before serving) but basically it amounted to 6 pieces of potatoes, 8-9 baked beans and 2 (maybe 3) small pieces of bacon (if you choose that option) and a very small portion of scrambled egg or a an omelette. If you eat outside the dining room (which seems like a pleasant idea if it's a nice day - make sure you have bug spray or you will get eaten alive). No rice available for those who are Asian (it's a staple diet item for Thais - er, and we are in Thailand). No chance of getting anything more other than perhaps a couple of bits of toast (with absolutely awful jam if you want it) - I even felt guilty having a second cup of coffee! Such a shame, this place has lots of potential but the owners seem determined to wring every last bit of yield out of it before doing anything about replacing things or fixing things properly - the room I was in had a particularly dangerous electrical socket for the bedside lamp that had "electrocution" written all over it! For the owners: Cushions in the reception area seating were disgusting - please change them! Spend some cash repairing things and getting things looking better - rusty air con units and broken palisade posts around the pool and other areas just shows you don't care and are determined to milk it for everything you can. It's a lovely place with a great location and you are in danger of messing it up. Stop building new things and instead invest in what you have.

Affordable resort located just close enough to all the action and yet in a serene environment. Nice clean room with a comfy bed and a lovely view from the balcony, I couldnt ask for more. The staff are really friendly and catered to our every need. I would definitely come back here again.

execellent hotel, beach is bypass,i love to walk in market and its nearby,,soo lovely place,i love it,we have enjoy alot, lots of thing to see nearby area, people are gud and loyalty,i relky like it,,,,,,

Very beautiful room need and clean. Staff is very helpful. Swimming pool very clean. Beautiful garden and not far from the beach we enjoy stay here. Not far from night market and walking street. Very good!!!!

is perfect for a quiet getaway. There is a beautiful garden and all ppl whom work in the hotel, are so nice and respectful. in spite of occupancy was pretty high, it was so silent. I really highly recommend that property according to location ( pratumnak between pattaya city center and jomtien, 5 min to walk tuk tuk route) price (cheap enough) big rooms etc.

I had a great stay at Hillside. Was visiting Thailand with a bunch of friends and this resort deemed very sensibly priced. The hotel was moderately big and the rooms were spacious and tidy. I was very anxious about cleanliness but the hygiene standard surpassed my expectations. I had a great vacation it was super fun. The staff didn't speak much English, however, they were very helpful and gave good advice on things to do nearby such as visiting the Pattaya and Jomtiem Beach and the popular Walking Street which is by the way so close by! There is also a temple completely carved of wood called Sanctuary of Truth, would not have known about this if it wasn't for the lady at the front desk. Pattaya had lots of nightout options making it a great and happening place to visit for friends. I'd also like to add that being a woman I really appreciate the security and safeness of the hotel. Definitely planning on going back and staying in this hotel A pleasantly surprised student, Lisa

First of all, The hotel is old and away from the city. Please considering this before you book the rooms. The good thing is its very quiet in the night. the Staffs are quite Okay...You need to tell them what you wanted and they will provide it for you. you will need to rent a Motorbike from the hotel, or in front of the hotel at the cost around $3-5 per day (I am not sure) to go the the city or the beach because it's on the Hill. For me it's reasonable price hotel. If you are a type of person who expect too much Please don't book this hotel and later complain.

Hotel is in aprivate zone, it suitable for traveler who need to take the rest out of crowd..

Awful rooms smelly damp. My shower unit caught on fire while having a shower.

While booking u said WI-FI is free whereas they haven't provided the same & BF was pathetic. For everything apart for room, it is chargable. Location too is not good.
