Is echt een klein dingetje dat voor ons een nadeel was, maar natuurlijk ook gewoon persoonlijke voorkeur was dat we graag ook in de douche een losse douchekop hebben. Nu was er enkel een regendouchekop.

Die Lage war spitze, alles war extrem sauber und ordentlich und auch über das generelle Preis - Leistungsverhältnis kann man sich keineswegs beschweren

First time solo trip/hostel user. Locker storage to drop bags at the reception pre check in made for a fantastic start. Clean room, clean bed space, clean bathroom. The black out curtain and bed space light were fabulous for a good night's sleep and the dorm was generally quiet. The balcony provided a cute space to sit, hang towels and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The communal areas were spacious and clean. Though I declined the evening social meal, it was lovely to have been offered the option. Really great location, easy to get to/from the airport and to return to from sightseeing throughout the day. Big shout out for the shower pressure/power. Would absolutely stay again.

The main door to the dorm could use better latching/or a lock - though the dorm felt safe and there was ample locker space to store belongings, the door was often open.

A fine hostel in general, but one shower didn’t work so there was only one shower for 10 people and there were bedbugs in my bed

L’emplacement est super.

J’étais dans la chambre réservée aux femmes, pour l’équipement la prise et la lampe de mon lit ne fonctionnait pas de tout le séjour malgré en avoir parlé au personnel. Les filles de la chambres étaient très peu respectueuses, beaucoup de bruits, téléphone sur haut parleur passer une certaine heure le soir, les lumières de toutes la chambre allumées sans cesse alors qu’il est déjà tard. Ce qui a fait que je n’ai vraiment pas très bien dormis. Cependant le lit est plutôt confortable et il y a des petits rideaux à tirer tout autour du lit ce qui donne une petite « intimité ».

Premièrement l'emplacement est parfait! On a tout fait à pied. Juste sur notre rue, il y a plein de bons restaurants, un peu plus loin un joli square avec des terrasses, à une rue c'est la place de la mairie avec le signe de Porto et le métro est juste à côté. Deuxièmement l'établissement a tout ce qu'il faut et c'est propre. Sur notre étage, il y avait, d'un côté des dortoirs avec leur salle et de bain et leur toilette et de l'autre, deux chambres privées avec notre salle de bain et notre toilette. Je n'ai jamais attendu pour la douche et le ménage était fait quotidiennement. La chambre était juste de la bonne taille, il manquait un peu de place pour ranger nos choses, mais rien de vraiment dérangeant. On y était très bien. Une fois les portes fermées, on n'entendait aucun son de la rue pourtant animée. Nous avons appréciés la climatisation lorsque nous fermions les portes du balcon.

Bien qu'il y ait une cuisine commune celle-ci était souvent monopolisée à l'heure du souper pour les diners commuautaires organisés par un cuisinier de l'hotel. Nous ne trouvions pas d'ustenciles propres et nous sentions de trop dans l'espace. Nous avons préférés manger froid, dans notre chambre. Bien que tout soit isolé comme il faut pour les sons de l'extérieur, on entend très bien les ouvertures et fermetures de portes sur l'étage. Rien de trop grave car tout le monde était très attentionné et avec des bouchons d'oreille ça va.

Abends waren Bedbugs (Bettwanzen?) im Bett. Sehr große. Als wir daraufhin an der Rezeption Bescheid sagten, wurde nichts geändert und wir mussten die ganze Nacht in der Lobby sitzen. Allgemein nicht sonderlich ordentlich und keine bequemen Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Mi litera en concreto estaba llena de chinches y no pude dormir porque picaban sin parar. Finalmente hablé con la recepcionista y me cambiaron a una habitación superior.

Great location, very central. Beds were comfortable. Rooms and bathrooms were always clean. There is a light and a small shelf inside each bed cabin, and blackout curtains. Lockers are inside the room, each kept safe with a padlock (bring your own). Good size tables and sofas in the communal areas. All very clean. There is a clothes line outside to hang dump clothes.

The hand soap wasn't great quality so I bought my own. It would be nice if shower gel and towels were included as they are in many hostels. A few more hangers in the room would be nice as I had to put my towel on a lamp to dry a bit.

I had a wonderful stay at Porto Lounge Hostel & Guesthouse by Host Wise. Its central location is perfect for exploring Porto, the rooms are comfortable, and the historic building gives the place a truly original character. A special thank you to Samara, the concierge, whose kindness made my stay even better. She took the time to give me valuable recommendations and marked the best places to visit on a map. Her advice helped me discover and enjoy the city.

Było w porządku, jedna noc przed rozpoczęciem camino, ale mieszkanie w takim dużym pokoju ma swoje minusy, jest głośno, korki obowiązkowe, może półprosta źle trafiłam na współlokatorki

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. I have stayed in many hostels throughout my life, but this one is hands down the absolute worst. Beyond the filth visible everywhere—especially in the common kitchens (photos attached) and the rooms—the property is severely INFESTED with BED BUGS. Do not be fooled, as I was, by the positive ratings, which seem to come mostly from private room bookings. If you look closely at the hostel reviews, you will quickly notice that bed bugs are a recurring, long-standing issue here. While you can request a refund, you will be left stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to go unless you are willing to pay out of pocket for another place. It was a massive waste of money and a terrible experience. Trust me, STAY AWAY. There was a full-blown INFESTATION in progress.

Das Personal war sehr nett und die Lage war gut

Die Bettwanzen. Wir haben sie erst mitten in der Nacht entdeckt und Booking.com hat uns nicht weiter geholfen. Deswegen mussten wir eine Nacht in der Lounge vom Hostel warten, bis wir uns was neues selber suchen konnten. Das Hostel hat danach aber eine grössere Putzaktion gestartet. Vielleicht sind die Tiere jetzt also weg.

Encantoume a ubicación do posto (tiñamos moi bos restaurantes cerca e tamén a praza da Liberdade), o trato que recibimos polos traballadores e que teñan actividades para ter unha estancia entretida. A habitación foi amplia e o baño practicamente novo. Tamén destacar que é un lugar silencioso, pódese durmir ben.

A miña única queixa é algo que xa sabía, a habitación está nun cuarto piso sen ascensor. Para mín non foi un problema, pero para a miña familia foi algo moi agotador. Se vas con xente maior ou con moito peso, conta con isto.

Localização excepcional, perto de todos os pontos turísticos de maior interesse no Porto, possibilitando fazer tudo a pé. Staff muito atencioso, com especial agradecimento à brasileira Samara, que foi super gentil e solícita. Também gostei da limpeza do Hostel e da estrutura do Hostel.

Das einzige was uns gefallen hat war die Lage.

Nicht alle, aber einige des Personals waren unfreundlich. Reden während man eine Frage hat oder wartet, in ihrer Muttersprache und lachen. Das gibt irgendwie ein ungutes Gefühl. Die Handtücher und der Kissenbezug waren dreckig. Es roch zwar gewaschen aber die Flecken waren schon so tief, dass sie durchs waschen wahrscheinlich gar nicht mehr rausgehen. Da man keine Frischen bekommt, haben wir uns einfach welche genommen als ein Zimmer nach dem check out gereinigt wurde. Es ist sehr laut! Man hört jeden einzelnen Schritt von dem Stockwerk über einem und auch auf dem Flur ist im Zimmer alles zu hören. Das Badezimmer war ebenfalls dreckig. Ich habe schon in einigen Hostels übernachtet und kenne das so leider nicht. In anderen Hostels werden die Betten überzogen und Handtücher ausgewechselt.

La camerata femminile aveva un arredamento molto accogliente ed era illuminata da porte finestre che davano su un balcone. Nella stanza ci sono dei tavolini e delle sedie, in balcone c'è uno stendino.

Dovevi avere un lucchetto personale per chiedere il proprio armadietto.

El personal de recepcion y de limpieza. Estaba todo muy limpio y la atencion de las recepcionistas fue excelente. Todo era muy comodo y el ambiente ideal.

El parking es complicado y solo es gratuito de 19:00 a 9:00.

Nada a considerar

De locatie van dit hostel was ideaal, je kon makkelijk lopen naar alle verschillende delen van de stad. Daarnaast was het ook redelijk schoon en was het heel fijn dat de douche en toiletten buiten de kamer zaten. Hierdoor had je geen geluidsoverlast in de avond. De douches en toiletten werden goed bijgehouden en schoongemaakt.

De deur van de kamer stond constant open. Hierdoor had je dat mensen heel makkelijk de kamer in konden lopen. Zelfs als ik de deur dicht deed, kwam ik toch telkens weer terug bij een open deur. Ik weet niet goed of het hostel hier verantwoordelijk voor was, of de gasten. Maar het was hetzelfde bij alle andere kamers/verdiepingen. Hierdoor heb je toch het gevoel alsof je al je spullen in de kluis moet zetten, je weet namelijk niet wie er opeens je kamer in kan lopen wanneer je weg bent.

Fermé de 8h à 15h, et rien ne le précisait. J’avais fait la demande pour laisser mon bagage avant mon entrée, je n’ai jamais eu de réponse. Alors qu’ils m’ont écris sur whatsapp pour m’indiquer que je pouvais leur poser mes questions. Donc si vous souhaitez leur écrire, sachez que c’est impossible par booking et par whatsapp. J’ai dû payer ailleurs pour laisser mon bagage jusqu’à 15h. Belle bâtisse mais du coup le parquet grince énormément, pour dormir c’est compliqué.

Great little stay on a bustling. Close to Porto Old town and everything to see. The staff is lovely and accomodating.

There was a smell of cigarette smoke coming through the vent of the bathroom. At night it can get a bit loud, as there are many bars and restaurants close by.

De locatie van het hostel was fantastisch.

De laatste dag werd ik brut vroeger wakker gemaakt door de poetsvrouw, zonder al te veel uitleg. Het was mijn laatste dag in Porto en had gerekend op de late check-out die beloofd was, best weinig waard als je al om 9u wordt wakker gemaakt. Antwoorden voor je verblijf doen ze gelukkig heel snel maar ene berichtje op je laatste dag beantwoorden is er te veel aan. Jammer heb het erg naar men zin gehad in dit fijne hostel maar er wordt slecht gecommuniceerd met het personeel en weinig info gedeeld over dergelijke gebeurtenissen. Indien dit vroeger was meegedeeld was dit natuurlijk geen probleem geweest maar reizen met slaap tekort is natuurlijk nooit fijn, zeker door zo een kleine stommiteit van het personeel

I absolutely loved my stay at this hostel! The reception staff were incredibly nice, friendly, and welcoming. The location is perfect, close to everything, and you can easily explore the city on foot. I really enjoyed my experience here and would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

Everything is perfect! The location, facilities and staff are all fantastic! I especially loved the balcony in my room. It’s absolutely wonderful when the sunlight streams in. I will definitely stay here again next time I come back to Porto. I’d especially like to mention a young lady at the front desk with an injured leg; she was incredibly kind. I wish her a speedy recovery.

Ze waren heel aardig. Mocht eerder inchecken. Kreeg een glaasje port bij aankomst. Op de vertrekdag heb ik de hele dag mijn bagage daar laten staan. Fijne locatie.

Ik keek onder mijn bed of ik alles bij mij had, er lag genoeg! Heel erg vies. Ook de keuken was heel erg vies. Prullenbakken overvol, keukenkastjes die schors en scheef hingen.

The property sent a card verification link via Booking internal message, which led me to a phishing scam. Afterwards, the hostel refused to admit they sent the link and shifted all responsibilities. I requested a free cancellation on 12 May due to safety concerns. The hostel promised to follow up, but rejected the request on 14 May. They ignored messages repeatedly and gave no valid updates until 22 May. On 23 May (one day before check-in), Booking contacted the hostel to request a fee waiver for cancellation. The hostel still declined. All conversation records are kept. The host avoids accountability when problems arise. Think carefully before booking.

Hostel zou een facelift moeten krijgen. Het is een beetje vervallen.

Jättemysigt och centralt!

Informationen kring tillgängligheten innan check-in är felaktig och det finns ingen som svarar vare sig på mail eller telefon. Jag fick fel portkod skickad till mig och enbart automatsvar när jag försökte kontakta boendet. Vi var flera gäster som hade samma problem vilket skapade stora problem när man blir strandad mitt i city i flera timmar med allt sitt bagage. Detta är oacceptabelt!

Not a huge deal but hostel is on a big hill + stairs especially if you're on 4th or 5th level. Great exercise but be ready for a climb if you're hanging out by the river where a lot of the action is

La habitación solo para mujeres era amplia, las camas cómodas y privadas. El baño también amplio. Se mantenía todo limpio. Yo viaje en verano y las noches ningún problema para dormir con el aire acondicionado. Tienen un espacio compartido que se mantiene limpio y ordenado. He estado en otros hostel para comparar y este ha estado muy ideal. También la ubicación es perfecta, esta al lado de una estación de metro y a pocas calles de cafeterías importantes y la estación São Bento.

Die Betten quietschen leider sehr laut; für manche Zimmer muss man einige Treppen steigen von daher nicht zu empfehlen wenn man nicht mobil ist

Pěkné společné prostory, terasa, pohodlné postele, soukromí díky závěsům. Uzamykatelné boxy v pokoji i na recepci.

Společně koupelny, ne příliš čisté, upálený kohoutek v jedné sprše a v druhé upálená páčka na uzamčení. To vylo velmi nepříjemně, vzhledem k tomu, že koupelny jsou společné. Podlaha vrže, je slyšet každý pohyb.

Die Räumlichkeiten, vor allem die Bäder und die Aufenthaltsräume sind auf einem komfortablen Niveau. Außerdem wurden Zimmer und Bad regelmäßig und gründlich gereinigt.

Störend war, dass der Boden im Zimmer sehr durchgetreten war. Jeder einzelne Schritt erzeugt im Raum Schwingungen. Dasselbe gilt für die Konstruktion der Bettkabinen wo jede Bewegung eine hohe Laustärke bzw Bewegung erzeugt.

The location of the hostel was perfect, near the metro station and all the historic landmarks and shops. The rooms were nice and clean and the balcony was a very welcome extra! The hostel offers a social dinner every night which was so much fun! Staff was very friendly and helpfull.

I did miss airconditioning in the rooms. And the bathroom was kinda small.
