Nous avons logé dans une villa couché de soleil. La villa était magnifique et très grande et très bien équipée. La terrasse avec piscine est très agréable avec très peu de vis à vis. C'est un très bel endroit pour se détendre. Le restaurant est bon mais sans plus. Le petit déjeuner en revanche est vraiment top. Prévoir de prendre taxi ou de louer un scooter pour vous rapprocher du centre car un peu éloigné. Le personnel à la réception est très efficace et répond très rapidement à chacune de vos demandes.

La piscine principale est très jolie mais malheureusement pendant notre séjours , elle était remplie d'enfants qui jouaient au foot dans l'eau, ce que je trouve un peu limite pour ce type d'établissement. Nous n'y sommes donc plus retournés. La literie pourrait être améliorée, le lit grinçait beaucoup. Majorité d'Israéliens dans l'hotel donc carte du restaurant adaptée.

We had a wonderful couples massage at the Kupu Kupu Spa, and it was one of the highlights of our stay. My wife and I truly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The spa is beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing, creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind. A special thank you to our therapists, Zom and Mai, who were both incredibly professional, attentive, and skilled. They made us feel comfortable throughout the entire treatment, and the massage was simply excellent. We highly recommend the Kupu Kupu Spa to anyone staying at the hotel or visiting Koh Phangan. Amazing service from start to finish. The food, view, fire shows and rooms here are exceptional! A little off the beaten track, but super simple to get taxis if needed. Plenty to do in town - 20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi. We are on week 3 of a 4 week Thailand trip. The food here is the best! Shout out to Chef Win! We have been looked after for our entire time here by kind, attentive and funny staff who chat to us and cater to our every need. Sorry if I have forgotten anyone but thank you to Ziny, San Lin, Micky AD, Bank Pla, Noe Jo and Foam. An amazing team who always smile and stop for a chat and reserved the same table for us every night! We appreciate you! The website is a little vague - don't let it put you off! Everything is super simple when you get here and the staff are incredible.

If heaven had a name in Thailand it would be Kupu Kupu . What a magical place to spend 5 days was not long enough .Wonderful beach villa room hard to fault . The service was above and beyond, nothing too much trouble .on arrival they decorated my room for my birthday, provided me with birthday cake and set up a wonderful table for a lovely birthday tea . Special thanks to Pla and Aloe, Joe Foam Adalin Bank and Sam you make the place very special indeed .Food was great/ beautiful , Room was serviced well and the view was to die for . Thanks for an unforgettable birthday and holiday xx

I highly recommend Zoom! She is an amazing massage therapist—professional, kind, and incredibly skilled. She knew exactly how to relieve all the tension and made me feel completely relaxed throughout the session. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had, and I left feeling refreshed and renewed. Amazing! Simply amazing. The resort was superb, if a little isolated without transport (we had no hire car or scooter). The villa we had was perfect in every way. The food was superb and the restaurant team (Ziny, San, Micky, Aek, Noe, Foam, Lin, Joe and Pla) couldn’t do enough to ensure we had the best experience. The evening entertainment was a great bonus with the fire show being the best.

During our stay at the hotel, we had all of our meals at the restaurant, and every experience was excellent. The food was consistently delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared, with a great variety of options and outstanding quality. A very special thank you to Ziny, who made every meal even more enjoyable. She was always warm, friendly, attentive, and professional. Her genuine kindness and exceptional service made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and she always made sure everything was perfect. The restaurant became one of our favorite parts of our stay, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the hotel. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Le confort de la chambre, la piscine dans la chambre, la location du scooter, la gentillesse du personnel, magnifiques couchers de soleil.Très beau cadre avec beaucoup de végétation. Le transfert gratuit à l'embarcadère.

La plage, il est impossible de se baigner car trop peu de fond, nombreux rochers ou coraux.La température de l'eau de la piscine de l'hôtel, bouillante. Je déconseille cet établissement aux personnes âgées ou à mobilité réduite car il y a de nombreuses marches.

We booked a beachfront pool villa (44) it was stunning, nice and quiet, it was like our own perfect, private hideaway for 5 nights, it was my birthday and we arrived to the villa fully decorated with balloons and banners. The villa itself had everything required to make our stay as comfortable and lovely as ever. All the staff we encountered were fantastic with special mentions to Andy and Noe, both a real credit to the hotel but also not forgetting Ziny, Chef Win, Joe San. Foam, Ad Lin, Bank, Pla. The breakfast each morning was lovely, the dinners were superb, happy hour is almost all day long and the cocktails were great. We loved everything about this hotel and the staff, the only negative was down to other guests who feel it is ok to go to dinner and breakfast wearing just their swimwear…not acceptable at all! We did however notice that staff gave them gowns to wear but really they should be turned away and told to wear appropriate clothing for the restaurant! We would however return to this magical hotel if ever we return to Koh Phangan and can highly recommend staying here.

The staff and the food was good

The villas themselves are very old and tired. The aircon didn’t work very well and the bed was uncomfortable. This was not a luxury experience at all. I specifically booked the resort which was incredibly expensive because it is child free. Mid through our stay a family with 10 children including babies arrived and breakfast was like feeding time at the zoo. I cannot fault the staff, they are so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for them, the service was great.

What a truly amazing place Kupu Kupu is. We travelled as a party of six after completing a self drive 10 day Tuk Tuk adventure around Northern Thailand and were in need of some Rest and relaxation, we certainly found it here. We all stayed in the Sunset beach Villas and could not ask for anything better, the food in the restaurant, the entertainment including Fireshow and Saxophonist were 1st class. Transport to and from town provided and the friendliness of the staff could not be faulted. Although we did not meet all the staff the following ensured all our dietary needs were met. Thanks to. Pla, Noe, Foam, Joe, San, Ad, Ziny. Lin, AEK.

We had a great time at the resort. The staff were amazing and kind and very helpful with all our needs. The breakfast was also very varied and fresh. Always helpful at the concierge and reception and overall a great experience

Wow what a stay! The best of our trip, we arrived check in was smooth and after a short wait allocated villa 51. Well equipped and comfy. Big shout out to the staff so friendly especially in the restaurant, notably San we will miss you at breakfast! Used the spa for a lovely massage as well, would love to return one day. Good value, great location and friendly staff

Und nicht zu vergessen ist die erstklassige Betreuung des Personals, die dem Gast jeden Wunsch erfüllen!!!Besonders erwähnen möchten wir San, Nono,Foam,Seni und Bobo…so etwas findet man kaum noch einmal.Natürlich auch alle anderen Mitarbeiter des Teams , deren Namen jetzt nicht aufgeführt sind, waren super.Das ganze Team einschließlich der exzellenten Küche…Abendessen war jedes Mal einfach nur köstlich…verdient ein großes Lob!!!! Auch das Team der Rezeption ist zu erwähnen!Andi und sein Team haben uns hervorragend betreut und beraten!Vielen Dank für diese wunderbare Zeit, die wir im Kupu Kupu verbringen durften!

Erstklassiges Hotel mit unglaublich nettem und zuvorkommendem Personal. Die Villen sind grosszügig und bieten viel Komfort. Der eigene Pool war sehr schön und erfrischend und wurde stets sauber gehalten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war unschlagbar. Schade, dass man irgendwann nicht mehr essen mag! Obwohl wir nur mit Frühstück gebucht hatten, bekommt man Vouchers für ein wunderbares Nachtessen, teilweise inkl. toller Unterhaltung (Fire Show, Saxophonist). Die gesamte Hotelanlage ist sehr gepflegt und ruhig. Mit einem im Hotel gemieteten Roller ist man in kürzester Zeit in Thong Sala und anderen Örtchen und Stränden.

Was man einfach wissen sollte, wenn man dort bucht: bei Ebbe kann man nicht im Meer schwimmen! Aber dafür hat man eine herrliche Poolanlage und selber einen kleinen Private Pool.

I can’t praise this hotel and staff enough. We booked last minute as we had to change our plans, we came across this hotel, wow!!! From the moment we checked in we’d realised we had booked a super hotel, Andy the Manager was fantastic., he dealt with everything so smoothly. Our room was fabulous, it was huge, with a wonderful view over the sea, our room was kept spotlessly clean. The restaurant staff are honestly fabulous, I can’t fault them whatsoever, kind, nothing was ever to much, and a real family personal touch we felt, I’d like to thank each and everyone of you for making this trip unforgettable, especially for our anniversary evening, we felt very special, thank you to Ziny, San, Micky, Bank, Pla Ad Lin Joe, top cocktail maker, Nor, Foam, Ja, Noon, and their amazing Chef Win

וואו!!!!!! מלון מהמם ברמות באנו לירח דבש וישר קיבלו אותנו בברכה ! אמנם לקח זמן עד שקיבלנו את החדר אבל היו סופר נחמדים אלינו. נתנו לנו ואוצר לארוחת ערב בגלל הירח דבש ופייר?? זה האוכל הכי טוב שאכלתי בתאילנד !!! טעים ממש! חוף פרטי מהיפים שראיתי , בריכה כיפית שירות מושלם!! צוות מהמם מאוד ובאמת יחס ושירות ברמה גבוהה מאוד!

היו לנו חרקים בחדר כי זה ג׳ונגל וצריך לקחת את זה בחשבון, (ממש לא בגלל נקיון! המלון מבריק!!!) אבל מאוד מהר שדרגו אותנו עם מכתב התנצלות ונתנו לנו פיצוי מהמלון ככה שאין תלונות באמת!!!!

Wow, what a magical place. We could not have asked for more. We would definitely recommend this place to a friend and also come back again! The staff were incredible, especially Andy helping us with absolutely anything we needed - thank you so much! The pool is amazing and they also have a really good gym (that almost no one uses). Our room was quite big, and super clean and well looked after. The breakfast spread was incredible - and if they don’t have it, then they sure can make it for you if you just ask. Again, just impeccable service. Thank you to Bank, San, Ziny, Micky, AD, Cheaw, Nonoe, Foam and Lin. The hotel was fully booked (as we could tell from breakfast) but we felt as if we were alone there at the same time! Super peaceful and quiet.

Very high level of service - the staff really did that little extra for us. Always happy and with a big smile. Food and drinks are very reasonably priced and of high quality. The hotel area is beautifully located on the beach and feels exotic and lush. The sunsets are amazing. The hotel is close to many of the attractions on Koh Phangan - which suits us perfectly. We loved our villa which was so cozy and had everything we needed - great ocean view also. Can really recommend getting a massage on the beach - also very affordable.

The pool in the villa (and the main one) discolored the swimwear severely. The swimsuits were completely ruined. I have never experienced such discoloration (I travel a lot around the world). Bathing your hair as a blonde was not even to think about.

I rate my experience five out of five. This is no doubt, one of the best hotels in Asia, certainly the best hotel that I’ve stayed in Thailand. The service is fantastic. The staff is very friendly. Both restaurants are excellent. The new Indian Restaurant on the upper floor is incredible. The views from the rooms and the private pools are just fantastic.

Beautiful resort in a nice garden and great sea view from my large terrace. They serve breakfast until 11h30 which is fabulous! Breakfast features a number of healthy items, too. The choice of food for dinner was good but I would have preferred a few more Thai dishes. Rooms are big and beautiful although a bit dark. Housekeeping should be more attentive. They have lovely live music on some days as well as great fire shows. Staff at the restaurant was very kind and attentive, especially Foam and San but also the others: Noe, Joe, Lin and Pla. Andy at reception is at the right place, very welcoming and helpful with a big smile.

We have just stayed in the hotel and found all the facilities and staff outstanding. Situated in a quiet beach front area not far from the pier. The food and fire shows were great alongside good food and drinks. Staff were able to provide local knowledgeable help and advice with a complementary car service to the pier and return. В отеле работают прекрасные люди - это и сотрудники рецепшен и ресторана и водители. Нам были подарены ваучеры на посещение ужинов, что явилось приятным сюрпризом . Хочется особо отметить сотрудников ресторана -это Plu, Jop, Nop, Foam, Lin и Aok, которые нас замечательно обслуживали. У нас был ранний выезд и персонал даже вышел раньше на работу, чтобы мы смогли позавтракать перед отъездом. Водитель который нас отвозил на причал позаботился о получении билетов по ваучеру и доставил прямо к катамарану. Спасибо всем большое.

This was our 3rd time at Kupu Kupu, 2 weeks every time. This place is such a paradise, after the 1st time in 2022 we knew we would have to come back. Little did we know that it would be in 2023 and that we would get engaged there, right on the terrasse of our villa, 10 meters from the sea! So in 2025, our honeymoon had to be there... and Kupu Kupu delivered again. The service is so dedicated to the guests comfort, it always feels like the personnel is only servicing you, while they actually attend every single guest with an equally high standard. From the reception, where Andy will have an answer to every request, to the spacious villa cleaned thoroughly by the attentive cleaning crew. The breakfast, rich and diverse, was enlightened by an incredible team serving quality dishes made on demand along with a large buffet choice. The restaurant staff are ALL so professional, courteous, friendly but also mindful. They deserve a high praise for their continuous evolution over the years: San, AD, Ziny, Micky, Aek, Bank, Noe, Pla, Foam, Lin, Mason, Joe. The resort is so quiet, peaceful, it's actually a joy to spend entire days relaxing by the pool, swimming in the sea, enjoying a drink from the bar, or simply chilling on your own terrasse... to later have a dinner with delicious options and a plating that shows equal motivation to excel from the kitchen staff. I would prefer it if it stays intimate, but I have to share how great they are because they deserve success for the soul they bring to this place. It's magic. Raouf & Sam, till next time!

La villa était spacieuse, propre et confortable avec un coucher de soleil magnifique. La piscine commune était confortable avec une magnifique vue.

Petit bémol pour le nettoyage de la piscine de la Villa ainsi que son éclairage , beaucoup trop sombre. Les sonnettes de la piscine pour le service ne fonctionnent pas (ou du moins ça n’a pas l’air de fonctionner).

We stayed at KUPU KUPU for five nights as a group of four friends, and from the very first moment it felt like paradise. This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful hotels in Koh Phangan, with the most breathtaking sunsets we have ever seen. The rooms are stunning, elegant, and exceptionally well equipped including a coffee machine, bathrobes, and slippers. Everything feels very luxurious and thoughtfully designed. Breakfast was a true highlight with beautifully served individual dishes, all delicious and of the highest quality. We also enjoyed the spa treatments, including a facial and a massage, both of which were excellent and delivered at a very high professional level. The sunset massage was an unforgettable experience. The view is simply unreal. The sunsets are absolutely magical and truly some of the most beautiful in the world. Above all, the service was exceptional. Every member of the hotel staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely guest oriented. We would like to especially commend the entire team Noe, Joe, Lin, San, Ad, Mod, and Aek for their outstanding hospitality. A special thank you to the wonderful Foam, and above all to the manager Andy, who was professional, warm, and always willing to help with anything we needed. Thank you for a perfect stay. We had an unforgettable experience and will definitely return in the future!

The villas were stunning and a lovely area to have to yourselves.

The food was quite expensive in comparison to other places and I think more could’ve been done to elevate it to a more premium standard to make it value for money

The best location in kohphangan. Amazing quiet beach. Relaxing atmosphere good vibes. The room was perfect the best i ever been, beautiful design, very clean , excellent and comfortable bed!!!! Worth its value! Special thanks to Andy who was very kind and always smiling and did his best to make sure that we have everything we need .

We stayed at this hotel 28-29 December 2025 with my husband to celebrate our honeymoon. The hotel truly impressed us: a beautiful, well-maintained property and a stunning villa with a private pool. It was especially lovely to receive a complimentary gift from the hotel in honor of our special occasion—it really made the experience feel festive. We would also like to highlight the staff’s caring and attentive service. We took a little time before writing this review… just to come back down to earth after our stay in this little slice of paradise! Everything was simply perfect — from Andy’s warm welcome to the kindness and smiles of the entire team, always attentive and caring. Special mention to the wonderful moments at the restaurant  — the beautifully prepared tables, the delicious meals, and the thoughtful touches throughout. Where to start! From start to finish we had the most fantastic stay it started with Andy at check in, a big smile and a bigger heart nothing was a problem his local knowledge is amazing and his desire to look after his guests even more so! Dont stop giving out that water when we make it to reception! The rooms are amazing we had a luxury beach front villa waking up to the sound of the sea and the amazing views at sunset are worth the little extra. So clean and well stocked with water and coffee replenished throughout the day. All of the staff around the resort are happy and always willing to help! A special mention to the restaurant team Aek, Pla, Bank, San, Zinny, Mikky and Ad who were absolutely fantastic and so attentive to our every need. As a traveller with coeliac disease and other allergies its always daunting having to eat out but they made it so easy they had all been informed before our arrival and knew exactly what I was able to eat - even remembering our children’s favourite dishes and having them ready for breakfast and dinner times - above and beyond - we can’t wait to return next year!
