Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The breakfast, included in price, was excellent. Location closed to river Thames was a bonus. We would consider staying at this venue again.
Nothing to dislike.
Central hotel. Breakfast was excellent Staff were friendly Service very good
Bathroom no light fitting just wires hanging (would be easy to fix) Rip in carpet. A rug wouldn't go a miss.
Lovely room. Friendly staff. Great food!
It was very hot but it was in a heatwave and the lovely staff provided multiple fans
What a lovely place to stay in a beautiful location by the river. Our room was very comfortable and traditionally decorated with a large bathroom and loads of hot water. The room was well equipped with a bonus roll top bath in the bedroom itself! The staff were wonderful and we had a delicious relaxed breakfast with our visiting friends.
Sehr nettes, deutliches Hotel mit einem tollen Frühstück
Location by the river is lovely. Staff are friendly. Comfortable bed, quality linen and immaculate bathroom
Some very shabby areas, large hole in bedroom carpet, stained carpets, broken window blind, chipped paintwork, peeling table top, scorched lampshades
nice easy acces on street free parking kind staff good breakfast
old and narrow stairs to the room bit noisy as youre by main road
Lovely room, good location, excellent breakfast.
Great location, good sized clean room, good value for money
Absolutely 💯 everything especially the staff spot on polite very helpful 👍
Beds were good. Bathroom was modern, but tiny.
Breakfast was not good, and very slow. No gluten free bread available. No parking available despite what it said on the booking. Room was very small, and very hot.
Staff unbelievable and so friendly made our stay x
Parking was a bit of a nightmare
Overall good value for money. Breakfast was simple but very tasty. Easy to find.
Bathroom very small, carpet in room was very stained and the window blind on the main window was broken. There is no dedicated car park - you have to rely on on-street parking which is rather pot luck.
Lovely pub, great food and lovely staff
There is no car park so finding a space on the surrounding roads can be difficult at times
Heerlijk diner en ontbijt. Vriendelijk en gastvrij.
Het bed is aan vervanging toe. De vloerbedekking was ook versleten. De kamer was wel heel schoon.
Room was lovely. Nice & clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The roll to bath, in the bedroom was an excellent extra... Dinner was exceptional. Everything was cooked to perfection & we loved that there so.e quite unusual choices. Breakfast...PERFECT. everything was locally sourced which is great. The food was again, cooked perfectly.
Nothing. We really have nothing negative to write.
Great location.. husbands family live in Sunbury so its great for us to stay here and be able to see them . Spacious room, lovely towels and very clean. Ceiling fan and free standing fan which was appreciated with the current weather. Good sized wardrobe. Already booked to stay for same dates next year.
Didn't affect stay but I would suggest that the carpet in our room is replaced. There is a large stain on the floor which is the first thing you see when you enter the room. The room is very clean and carpet is clean apart from this stain which isn't a great first impression. We are already booked for next year and this is only a suggestion otherwise everything was great.
Great room and owner was excellent

Comfy bed and decent shower. Colin was a great host, very accommodating.
The room was a little tired and could do with some touch ups.
Clean, friendly, furniture and towels etc, breakfast and price.
Free parking is in nearby streets. I didn't know beforehand and would have been less stressful to know after a long drive. But parking was found fairly easily once my passenger had gone in to ask.
Fantastic hotel in brilliant surroundings.
Nothing
Really comfy bed, good ensuite, nice decor, Good location for the river, nice pub, friendly staff
very worn carpet that needs replacing. WIndows needed cleaning as full of cobwebs
Location
The doors in the rooms were about five foot and wood beams banged my head about six times breakfast was cold Sunday morning and poor didn’t have it Monday morning
Location and pleasant helpful staff
So much better than I expected. Lovely room, lovely stuff really comfortable bed.
Very helpful staff, nice freshly cooked food.
The carpet in the room was very threadbare and worn, a trip hazard.
Our second stay! Great value, great location and a nice little old character pub. Great breakfast and staff. Nice comfy room.
The only thing is being woken up by the traffic noise through the windows from 5am.
Nice pub and restaurant good breakfast very friendly staff nice spacious room
Very hot although we did have a fan in the room
Ideal location for us, lovely staff.
Hotel is in a great location. Staff are lovely Breakfast was amazing
Room was very very hot due to the weather so had a very restless night. They were 2 fans available,, however one wasn't working and the other was noisy
Great location and lovely room
The cutest pub and room I have had the pleasure to be in! Room 8 I stayed in, your glutes get a work out but it is so worth it! Duck through the door, turn right, don’t scone your head! Breakfast was so yummy too!
Not a massive issue as I found one within walking distance, parking! Read the signs, park within the lines and don’t be a dick!
Location and price very good. Lovely beer garden. Great breakfast. Colin who was serving from breakfast through the day was excellent.
Housekeeping could have been better we had to ask for clean towels and tea/coffee replenishing.
Pub downstairs that served good food with a smile and a lovely breakfast
Parking was a little awkward at times
This is the only pub on the strip to open for breakfast at 8am. Goes on til 11 when we returned for a lost phonecharger and were told that two of our friends were in the garden finishing their brekkie As ir was beer o'clock we joined them Happy hols in Sunbury
Great spot, very good value, & lovely food.
The breakfast was lovely and all the staff were very friendly. The pub was conveniently located and the bathroom, whilst small, was clean. It was also great value for money.
No air con in the rooms although a fan was provided, it was still very warm and the fan was noisy. The WiFi was patchy in our bedroom.
Staff were pleasant & polite, venue was central to Heathrow Richmond & Kingston Breakfast was good Fan in room was good
No car park Room was in need of TLC, several large staines on the carpet. Coffee machine had cups that didn't fit & were overhanging the cup base, possibility of overbalance when full. Meal was mediocre chips were dry, fried egg burnt, this was replaced, it looked as though the egg had been cooked in old oil.
Location price breakfast
Nothing
The young lady who was working was on her own so was unable to help us with our complaints . The one thing she did do was change the dirty and sticky duvet cover for us . She did offer a discount on dinner but it was never received sadly .
Besides the awful duvet cover , the windows had a lot of mound around them . Not very healthy for guests . I’m under palliative cancer care and really needed much better cleaning . There were also marks in the bathroom where previous guests had stood their tooth brushes so obviously never cleaned since . I took the duvet cover of to use as the actually duvet was very badly stained . Also downstairs the AC units were broken but also really dirty not been cleaned for a long time that’s for sure . Marks on the walls above the seating area were greasy . Can’t upload all photos as only 4 allowed
Greeting great. Food exceptional. Room good. Location is good and a 15/20 walk from Kempton Park.
All good and food excellent
Lovely staff-extremely helpful, fabulous breakfast! Beautiful room, with a wonderfully large shower. Thank you!
The toilets in the bar could do with updating
Great place My 2nd visit , even better this time .. great atmosphere
Good bar & food
Opposite the Thames. Can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the embankment. So peaceful I had Room 1 which has the stand alone bath, which I so wanted. The room is exceptionally large with a stand alone fan as it got quite warm. Loads of power points. Pillows were just right. Use of an expresso machine in the room and a large bottle of water. The bathroom is large with a spacious shower You also have a tv. So just lie in bed and enjoy The breakfast menu is expansive and food is delicious. I had the brioche French toast with maple syrup and bacon. Yummy. The pub caters for dogs You park your car around the side streets.
Nothing
Very quaint , lovely staff
Doorways are very low but adds to the quaintness of the hotel, breakfast was very overcooked
Excellent value for money.
Small things and wouldn’t stop us staying again. The road noise to the front was a little intrusive and the room was very warm. We were very grateful to have fans in the room.
Lovely location across the street from the river Thames. Nice food and good beer selection
No onsite parking
Was very clean and staff were lovely
Lovely! Really friendly, great location, great value for money - the bed was soooo comfortable and a brilliant full English in the morning! Very happy with my stay!
Fantastic location for our visit to Hampton Court and Sunbury is a beautiful small town on the Thames. Large airy room with 2 fans that were definitely needed. Comfortable bed, fabulous sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning. Staff very welcoming and helpful.
Only point - the bathroom was perfect but shower door stuck and I did panic that I would break it forcing it to open. It also stuck for my husband, so needs attention or replacing.
the food was good amd a nice pint of real ale
We went to a party nearby and wanted to be able to walk from the hotel so this was perfect. But we also found the staff lovely, the bed really comfortable and breakfast was terrific. Wonderful surprise to make us want to come back again. Thank you!
Nice location beside the river. They provided 2 fans per room during a heatwave. Good breakfast.
Nothing we didn’t like.
Location and staff were great
Cleanliness
this is the second time i have stayed at this lovely little hotel and it didn't disappoint. the staff were super helpful and the room clean. It was a very hot night and they had put a very good fan in the room which helped a lot. i will definitely stay again
Great room. Lovely and clean, as was the en suite bathroom. Very nice overnight stay with a delicious breakfast in the morning.
The fan in the room was a necessity in this hot weather but it was very noisy so couldn't be used whilst sleeping.
Great service and lovely food ( and drink)
drinks & bar service was fine.. breakfast was great
hottest day of the year, which obviously had nothing to do with hotel, the room we had provided a very weak fan, no air even with window open, no sleep at all, our second room had no fan at all.
Staff were fantastic! Bed was comfortable. Staff were 10/10, extremely polite, helpful, and fantastic work ethic, a credit to the place.
Room was nothing like the photos online, disappointed. Blinds were broken, light outside the window from the pub didn’t go off til midnight. Carpet was threadbare on one side of the bed. Room was absolutely boiling hot. Staff were brilliant and provided a replacement fan (it was over 30 degrees C in the room at all times) but this was not powerful and did not oscillate and so it was a very uncomfortable stay. We understand that it’s a heatwave but this room was awful to stay in, the pub area was cool and outside was cooler. Shower was ok, shower head was adjustable but did not work properly but shower was usable - style over substance. TV was basic, no streaming service- as advertised on the website. There was free WiFi. Had pizza in the pub, was saturated in oil and we left most of it as was not nice. Price too much for this room.
The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was modern and very clean.
Downside was the busy road outside as we were at the front of the pub and the room was SO hot. Ok we stayed in a heat wave but the temp in the room was 35 degrees all night! The fan provided was rubbish.. luckily we bought two of our own otherwise I doubt we could have slept in there!
Location was very good Staff were excellent, food was very good had evening meal and 2 mornings had breakfast. The bar was very comfortable for a drink in the evening
Room needs a little updating, carpets stained and cracked tiles in bathroom also shower head was broken needs attention to detail
Good food in the pub, nice access to go for a walk by the river, fans anddecent coffee in the room.
Can't blame the Flower Pot for this, but parking for me is a major factor. I filtered my search to show only places with parking. I discovered on arrival the Flower Pot does not have parking, only on street parking in the general area. Booking.com should not have included this in my search results. Everything else was great though.
Location opposite River Thames, flower display outside pub. Quality bed linen, Nice bathroom.
Location so near the road was noisy night & day. Ripped carpets, old tv, parking was too difficult. Broken window blind, missing window lock. Tower fan was useless.
Excellent host - friendly and professional. Location suits us for local family visits and London. Nice old pub room does the job for price. Provisions of fans in hot summer appreciated.
Windows in rooms dated and allow traffic noise in whether open or shut.
Beautiful and quirky. Close to the amenities. Beautiful breakfast included.
Nothing
Lovely hotel pub setting with friendly and comfortable feel. Lovely comfortable bed, crisp white sheets. Clean bathroom, lovely fluffy towels, shampoo and conditioner provided. Coffee machine in room a bonus. Staff really friendly and helpful. Lovely pub garden and food served.
A little shabby. Carpet torn and worn in places. Blind broken on one side so pulled up at an angle. Bedside table ring marks from previous guests. Fan broken in room so couldn’t use. On main road so quite loud as window had to stay open for fresh air.
Breakfast very good. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately when we went there was a heat wave and bedrooms were very hot. There was a fan provided but as it was extreme could have done with another one.
Su ubicación, cerca de mi hermana que vive por allí.
Somos adultos mayores y tenemos dificultades con las escaleras.
Location and comfort were really good, staff were polite and friendly
Breakfast was excellent
Traffic noise
Lovely staff and it had everything we needed.
The pub and rooms are a lovely design and very homely but showing some signs of wear and tear.
It was close to Thorpe Park
The rooms were too warm, the fan didn't work, the carpets were dirty and worn through
Pension mit Pub Freundliche Hilfsbereite Personal Gutes Frühstück Frisches Wasser täglich auf dem Zimmer Kaffee Pads Live Fußball TV Event im Angebot WM 2026) Urige Stil - real Englisch
Excellent food and beverage
Room windows don’t open, stale air and stuffy. Ceiling fan was great. Shower bracket faulty, basin drain blocked. Window treatments old and needing replacement. Rooms need some TLC, lamp shades broken and cracked, carpet stains and walls and door frames scraped and grimy.
No breakfast
Room
Lovely location, Ella and Daisy lovely hosts,
Room was a bit hot but mostly due to the weather
Staff are great! So helpful. Room was clean, breakfast option are amazing
Missing lock on window.
room was great place was nice food was lovely
Lovely staff, great room & very good breakfast
The room was very hot, fan no use at all
Was just okay
The bacon over cooked. . Toast not good ..
Location was perfect for the trip. Nice friendly staff. Room was fine and great breakfast.
The bed I felt was quite lumpy and uncomfortable.
Cute hotel in a classic English pub setting, complete with narrow staircases and odd door sizes. Staff were informal and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The room was comfortable, with attractive furnishings, nice bedding, and adequate shower room. Nespresso machine and kettle in room.
May be difficult for guests with mobility issues, but we had no problem with the stairs.
Lovely ‘old’ pub, lovely a clean, newly refurbished ensuite, for an old place it’s lovely… We didn’t have an evening meal, but if we had time we would have loved to have tried something as the breakfast there was phenomenal, I said to the waiter “I think that was the best breakfast I’ve ever had” photos to show, if you like healthy breakfasts then the smashed eggs (yes it’s scrambled) and avocado toast with feta (loads of) spinach, chunky tomatoes and red onion, blinking lovely ;)
Nothing not to like, remember it’s an old pub, creaky floorboards. Although we were in the bar to bitter end, staff will remember us, loads of crisps and wine bought… sorry staff
Colin the daytime manager was very helpful , allowed us to check in early and have a later breakfast. Also provided great local knowledge on travel and night life . Couldn't have been more accommodating. Plenty of choice for the inclusive breakfast, and kept us going most of the day.
A little close to the road so traffic was woke us up quite early 😴
Lovely stay overnight , booked an exec double which had a freestanding bath in the room, which unfortunately I didn’t have time to use . The bed was very comfortable, lovely big pillows although we found the duvet too thick and hot . The Shower was brilliant , with a big rain head shower . The hallways and some doors are quite quirky we found some normal and some shorter in height . Loved the decor . The hotel is opposite the river and a is a short walk to local shops
Nothing we didn’t like , although the bathroom had some cracked floor tiles which need fixing . Parking is an issue as it’s on the sides roads if you can find a spot. We had to use the walled garden public car park a bit further down the high street. It’s a ring go app ,£4.30 all day but is free overnight you just have to remember to wake up at 7am and pay again on your phone !
Breakfast saved it for us. Whilst the room was tidy and comfortable, it was the 'little' things that let it down.
Details online state 'Free Parking' - this should read 'Free Road Parking'. Asked at Reception and young lady advised us to drive around the local roads and grab a free space, she did not advise of a local car park. Room we had overlooked the fairly busy road, particularly late at night and bin-men lorries woke us early. Only 1 tea bag and no sachet coffee in the room. A lady was hoovering around the breakfast tables as we arrived to eat - didn't think that was particularly hygenic.
De omgeving
Hotel de kamers mogen een beetje liefde krijgen, paar dingen in de kamer mogen vervangen worden
Location
No fans
Comfortable beds, good shower, great staff, convenient location
No parking except in the road. Breakfast was overcooked and very disappointing. Evening meal was not brilliant either.
Location was great for us, a beautiful area, friendly approachable staff, great breakfast, parking on street was fine. The room and shower room were tidy. A quirky room, really because of the age of the building.
It was a particularly hot weekend so the 9 tog douvet was a bit much.
Very comfortable and convenient
Friendly staff, good location for us ,clean, comfortable bed
there was a lot of sold out items on menu for evening meal and breakfast. Parking was a bit of a walk away none available nr hotel
Excellent cooked breakfast. Speedy service.
Nothing!
