The only thing that could have been better would be if their was aircon or at least a fan in our room.

Reviewed Aug 23, 2026The breakfast was lovely, it was a shame the staff didn't great us as we sat down and we had to find staff to get Coffee and toast. But don't let that detract you from the quality of the cooking.
The Staff in the bar where more interested in chatting and appearing to do nothing than serve guests, however there was a funeral taking place at the time, again just a minor hiccup.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026The hotel was clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The food was excellent. We had an issue with a bit of flooding in the shower (walk in shower), and they were so understanding and helpful and it was dealt with straight away
We only stayed a night and the only thing negative I could say is that a vending machine would have been nice but that's just looking for something to say

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026The staff throughout the hotel were so nice and friendly. The carvery lunch was beautiful. Beds were comfy and pillows too.
The rooms really need updating, paint chipped off walls, stains on curtains and carpets. Wooden decor needing a repaint. Bathroom was renovated and nice but the side on the bath looked like a quick piece of something screwed onto it. Two Empty coffee sachets in the room🫣 . Dust on lamp shades. Sockets broken and none beside bed. The carpet in lift is filthy. Breakfast was cold and not a great selection I wouldn’t pay extra to have breakfast I would go to the town for decent food. Better signage on first floor to lift and stairs.

Tv stations poor and Netflix and prime are only available bly login in to your own account or subscribe Also no information that breakfast finished 10am sharp and this was not displayed in room either nor information give at reception, full payment taken on arrival and not information of breakfast. Also bank holiday weekend no entertainment?

I arrived just after 8pm and waited at reception for at least 15 minutes before I called into the bar to see if someone could book me in. Food service had stopped so I had to leave again to get something to eat. No lotion or conditioner in the bathroom

Our room was freezing and I mean artic cold! Made numerous phone calls to ask for heat and was ignored until the system kicked in at 6pm! Was very disappointed as spoke to several members of staff and was assured they would turn on heat! As hotel was so busy no seats in reception or bar! We had no choice but to go to our room but it ruined what would have otherwise been a lovely stay!!

Netflix did not seem to work. Disappointed that the price has risen in recent times. I would like to stay here more often but the price is off putting. Still more affordable than Galway city. Would prefer if I could get my own coffee instead of being served. Handier if you want another cup.

Chef obviously cooked everything at 7 am and it was then put in the warmer. Staff kept coming and looking into the trays but hadn’t the gumption to see that they would have needed fresh food. Defo the worst breakfast. I have had. Overall very overpriced

Fire alarm went off at 1:00 am and it took a few minutes for staff to ascertain that there was no problem and to turn off the alarm, but I think they handled it as well as they could have done.

No A/C in room, no bottles of water in room, room hot. View out off window was really bad, brick wall with electrical units attached. Expensive, with the issues above, left all off these comments on a feedback sheet that was in the room, it came with no pen. Heard nothing from the hotel. Also €20 to get into evening entertainment in the hotel.
