Breakfast is excellent, casino floor is not a far walk from your room. Kids love the event center for wrestling, kids also love the pool and rooms as well.

There could be more family restaurants where the kids can go in instead of having the majority stuck inside on the casino floor where they cant go.

Let me tell you. Chandler, Spike, and Nathan were so attentive to my needs. I was a hospitality host for a week and they were on to of any help I asked for with setup. We had a room mix up upon arrival. Chandler was all over getting it fixed for us. She was so kind. Another nice man from maintenance, I can't remember his name and I am sorry, got us back in to our room after the door stop lock popped out after the door closed. He was a life saver. Chandler would know who he is because she sent him. Love love love this staff.

I was unaware of a military discount, and when I found out, they told me they couldnt reverse what I already paid for (2 rooms)

We had a great stay at Kansas Star. Special thanks to Brittany, on the second floor, for taking such great care of the guests!

Everything! We were warmly greeted and everyone helped with our questions. The room was so clean and they are pet friendly. The coffee and breakfast helped start our 8 hour of travel off right! The bed was like sleeping in a cloud. We will stay there again, I am recommending them to everyone I talk to and will look for a Hampton inn everywhere I go in the future. And we got a huge bargain for our money spent

We liked that it was right off the interstate for easy access. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as the breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and the curtains closed all the way in the middle to block out the light at night.

About the only thing would be the smoke smell from the casino but that was only in the lobby and hallways.

My wife and I stayed on the first leg of a cross country road trip. We stay here regularly when on road trips due to location. The hotel has gotten worse over our last couple of stays, and our stay on Jan 17 was really bad. I will start with the worst part, which was the breakfast. We went to the dining area a few minutes after breakfast started. There were already people there who had dished up food and began to eat. My wife and I immediately had recommendations from other guests to stay away from the eggs due to hair being found in them. We looked at the eggs and could see the hair visible in the serving dish. My wife, ever the optimist, decided to "dig down" to the bottom of the serving dish to find some "clean" eggs (assuming some hair had simply fallen on top of the food. To our surprise, we found more hair in the bottom of the dish! There was so much hair, that this situation HAD to be intentional. And here comes the kicker.....as I was complaining to the front desk and the front desk person came back to the dining area, an employee came out of the back "kitchen" area carrying another tray of food. This employee had long hair that was very messy, disheveled and unkempt. I actually started laughing and said out loud, "No wonder! Wear a hair net!" We stayed again on the way back home on the road trip (reservations already made and this has been our "regular" road trip stop) and I inquired when I checked in as to the "food incident" a couple of weeks before. The employee at the desk had no idea what I was talking about and did not know about any problem with food. The employee had no idea who the employee in question was and if there had been any accountability. I would expect that a hospitality organization would have communicated this problem to employees, along with procedures to avoid similar problems in the future (like direction to wear hair nets!). The employee basically said that he works the front desk and the food has nothing to do with him. Not a great organizational model for accountability. We did not even look at the food on this stay. Additional issues include: the rooms no longer have clocks/alarm clocks and they use cold blue light bulbs which are the bright white lights that look like old hospital fluorescent lights. It is problematic to not have a single clock in the room. It is nice to know the time when you are in a new/unfamiliar place and on a road trip schedule. The light color/tone currently used has been shown to cause numerous issues that I will not get into. However, most people will agree it is NOT a pleasant lighting environment when those stark, cold lights are used. I tried to review directly on Hilton site, but I am not able to. The link sent to my email to review expired (We were on a 3 week road trip). I did NOT get a link to review the hotel from the stay on the way home. This hotel also seems like it is due for a refresh/remodel based on the wear and tear of furnishings.

I have stayed at this hotel, off and on, when traveling, for the past 3 years. It is in an excellent location - away from urban areas and highway noise, so it is quiet; there is a casino colocated with the hotel with several food vendors as well. This stay was the best, the room (junior king suite was very clean, modern furnishings, microwave, kitchenette, etc.

Modest selection of foods available for purchase in lobby (if arriving during odd times, the food vendors are closed); being that it is located very far from stores, other restaurants, available lobby area food selections are limited (good, but limited).

Clean and young lady at front desk was very nice.

Would rate a 4/10. The hotel was nice, but the room was a non smoking room… filled with cigarette smoke.. I complained multiple times and nothing was done. Was unable to use the wifi .. They had my name wrong and never fixed it. Was told to reach out for any and all issues and not one issue was fixed. But the stay was comfortable other than the obnoxious cigarette smell.

The rooms where small and the space by the elevator was huge for no reason. I would have made rooms bigger with less dead open space. Ice machines didn't work on our floor. Hot tub was dirty green scum around edge. Asked for it to be cleaned and they did so. Thanks.

thermostat didn't work, we tried, staff tried and room went up to 78degrees still but set at 72, woke me up b/c I had to finally turn off the heat and the air on-so caused arguments and stress to our one night, hot tub had a foot high of foam as if they put in too many chemicals so we weren't comfortable using it-but we did not report that concern. thermostats are way too complex for a hotel if even the staff can't figure them out

Most miserable stay anywhere. Beds were old, springs NOISEY and painful. Pillows horrible. Informed desk but they simply said well I’m sure they’re not old. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Kids running, jumping, yelling in room above us. Desk only told us when we complained, that they’d be checking out in the morning. How’s that help?? Entrance from hotel to casino closed until sometime in Feb. and in order to get there we had to go back outside in extreme cold temps, through construction area and their equipment. Very very disappointing stay. Wont be back.

Rates too high, room was super dusty, only one roll of toilet paper not even a new roll of toilet paper it was from previous guest, no entrance to casino had to walk outside in the cold wet rain to get to casino defeats the point of being or staying at the resort hotel especially for the price! Too high! We played several games at casino and none went to bonus? Never experienced that before. Also hotel breakfast is supposed to be served until 10 and no breakfast was left at 915am just cereal for kids and muffins And waffles several guest were not happy about this and including ourselves, coffee is terrible and the halls or hotel smells like dog wash just musty. not the experience i was hoping for.
