Travellers Inn Fredericton NB

It was close to the Fredrecton airport and the room was fairly big. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made an earlier check-in possible, which was very nice.

But the buildings looked much nicer in the pics. It is in need of a serious new coat of paint inside and out. I think the carpets are original (which is scary) and I had to trust that the bed was clean. The linens felt very satiny so they definitely weren't cotton. The TV was small. Considering what I paid, I expected more.

Not very clean, dust and grime in corners, baseboards, doors, bathroom fan covered in dust so was the air contionner. Floors hadn't been swept, got sand under my feet so couldn't walk barefoot.

Ils ont affirmé ne pas avoir reçu la réservation, payée depuis plusieurs semaine. J'ai dû batailler pour obtenir ma chambre, soit-disant la dernière: propreté douteuse, pas de climatisation. À éviter, même pour un simple arrêt dodo.

The breakfast isn't fabulous but given that it's free, it was much appreciated. Also, the staff were very helpful.

Ce n'est pas loin de la Route 2, bon pour arriver et quitter aussi vite que possible. le petit déjeuné était bien. La chambre était assez confortable.

Le motel est assez rudimentaire, il y a du matériel pour le petite déjeuné et les chambres dans le lobby. Un peu de réno ne fera pas mal.

Great location, just off the main highway. Large grassy areas for the dogs to walk on. Only 250 metres from a gas station, restaurants, convenience store.

Très beau site mais problème avec les camions qui circule au 5 minutes et qui nous laisse de ́a poussière. Nous sommes pas capable de s'asseoir a l'extérieure trop de poussière de sable. Merci Liette

Very poor internet reception, the tv would not work in room, lighting. The staff walked into my room while I was still sleeping at 8 am to do housekeeping.

The room was very noisy (road noise, vehicle running much of the night, hallway noise was disruptive early in the morning). The breakfast was very disappointing.

After a long drive it's a perfect spot for a nice shower and a good night's sleep. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked. Service was great, breakfast was simple and check out was easy.

Excellent location just off of the highway for anyone passing through. Rooms are pretty clean, with a little bit of dust at the baseboards, but not everybody looks at that. We liked the mattresses had mattress protectors. Check-in was very efficient, as was checkout. The place was really quiet, which we really appreciated. For the price of the option compared to other options in the area, we were very happy. It is unfortunate that hotel/motel prices have gone up this much, as it seems crazy to pay almost $250 a night for a motel room, but this is the time, and this one was better than most motels. Beds were really comfy. Air conditioning excellent. The breakfast was fine.

Bathroom towel rack needed fixed. There are little flies in the rooms, coming out of the drains. Nothing overwhelming, and nothing the owners could help.

Pas aimé :J'ai tellement mal dormi!!! Le matelas est dû à être changé, la tête en bas... A 1 hr du matin je voulais repartir. J'ai eu une migraine toute la journée a cause de ça. Et la toilette n'est pas fixée correctement au plancher... elle bougeait quand on s'assoyait dessus et elle est très basse... Je mesure 5pieds et je la trouvais basse...

Unfortunately we had a very unsettling reception upon arrival. Requests for ID and credit card were like demands. There were further unpleasant incidents which I’ve never experienced at check in before.

No towels. Our door key would not work and they were to send someone to look at it but never did. The smell of air freshener was so overpowering.

The assistant manager at check in was very helpful She noticed a discrepancy in my booking and she let me know I was overtired and unfortunately I am diabetic, low blood sugar, but she remained professional I feel she went above her job I was so happy to have her help

Location: -easily accessible of TCH # 2 (approximately 4 km north of Oromocto; New Brunswick -Irving Big Stop is just opposite of the Travel Lodge Inn (accessible by walking if desired)

Owner Operator / Staff: -friendly upon check in (room access card (two cards) not function upon initial attempt > then corrected owner operator / staff -upon entering the room, the smell (stench) was undesirable > I opened both windows to air the room out & also had the air conditioner unit on to aid in doing so. I left the windows opened throughout the night. -I inquired at the reception regarding operation of the TV (black screen and channel subscribe only) The female receptionist explained the use of the two remotes to me as if I was 'not intelligent'. Ten minutes after, I managed to get the TV channels to function -the room is DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY and should be shut down immediately until a thorough cleaning has been conducted as well as CANADA SELECT inspected. Photos attached w/ a date time...self explanatory (zoom in for thorough visibility). This issue needs to be addressed seriously. Breakfast: -initially after walking in the breakfast room > I went to pour a cup of coffee from the coffee flask / holder > (only one) > empty. -I stood at reception in clear view of the receptionist for at least forty -five seconds before the attendant looked up at me (due to staring down at his phone). -after saying 'good morning', I told him the coffee flask is empty > he said absolutely nothing (no salutations), as if I was bothering him. He got up, went to the coffee flask, made a new pot of coffee, looked at me and said it will be ready in five minutes. Then he walked away back to the receptionist desk staring down on his phone. Hallway: -just outside the room in the hallway / corridor...there is an armchair at the end of the hallway / corridor) that literally looks like a cat has scratched / ripped it apart over the years > unfortunately I forgot to take a photo upon leaving the Travel Lodge Inn the next day. The motel is easy to find, being on the Trans Canada Highway and is a few km from the town of Oromocto. The breakfast was fine for the price.

I could not get the TV to work, as is normal in my case.

It was okay, would of liked to see bagel and cream cheese and there was no coffee. Both containers were empty.

The window could not be closed completely, so you could hear the traffic.

The location is amazing - close to things you may need during your stay. I was amazed at the heated and special lighting mirror in the restroom - made getting ready to perform that much better having makeup on point!

I liked the touch of the muffins available during breakfast now, but maybe something with more hot options? Even if it's something like eggs or waffles, hashbrowns, etc.

Check in was friendly and easy. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were nice and fluffy. The sink, toilet and tub shower curtain were clean.

Curtains were spotty, the blinds were broken. One chair was broken. Microwave was two inches off the floor (not good for seniors). The night stand was dusty (bottom level). Food under beds (yes I checked). Bathroom base board dirty and the garbage can was dirty and had a clump of hair from pervious occupant.

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. My flight to Fredericton was delayed, and I arrived at the hotel around 2:30 a.m. I took a taxi directly from the airport, but when I arrived, there was no one at reception. I stayed outside the hotel from 3:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., knocking on the door and calling the hotel multiple times with no answer. I even asked another guest for help, and they also tried calling the hotel with no response. Eventually, I had no choice but to call another taxi and find a different hotel for the night, which caused additional stress and unexpected expenses. I have formally requested a full refund for my reservation and am currently waiting for a response I hope management addresses this situation seriously, as being left without assistance in the middle of the night is unacceptable.

The room was nice and clean with all you needed. The bed was comfortable, the lady at reception was very friendly and as a bonus breakfast is included, I didn't take advantage of it but at this price point it's a great bonus. The location is also great, close to a big stop with a restaurant and a new NBL store about two minutes drive from the motel.

The only thing which is no fault to the establishment, a few patrons were workers who had to go early which was a little noisy but nothing terrible.
