The miserable staff
Beautiful building. Stunning location. Bedroom and bathroom spotless
Nothing
Zimmer war gut. Die Dusche sanierungsbedüftih
The location was good close to Campbeltown. The room was well laid out, and the bed was comfortable and the guest booklet in the bedroom had a good information what to do in and around Campbeltown also a map of the area, it has had the breakfast menu , dinner and light snack menu which was helpful if you wanted to know what to have to eat or get room service and it was nice and peaceful . it is ideal to have a ground floor room especially for people with mobility issues or problems
The toilet in the bedroom was wobbly, the television didn't work and the bracket looked a bit loose that was holding the telly to the wall and one light bulb was not working
Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly
There was nothing to dislike
Lovely staff and nice breakfast selection. The room had everything you could think of.
Noise from something outside the window, that came on regularly meant I had to have the window closed all night. The room was very compact.
Great location, lovely building
Property is and is looking tired. Needs some attention to the finer points of a hotel operation. Nevertheless it was cosy and homely
Breakfast was lovely. Very good selection. Dinner was great. Congratulations chef.
Nice room and great restaurant
Water pressure in shower was poor
建物が素敵です。 バスタブもあり、のんびりと過ごせました。 敷地内にうさぎが居たのも良かったです。 朝食時の眺望も良かったです。

Very friendly staff and great restaurant with really good food!
Great location, beautiful view, room was clean. We had a drink outside with a beautiful view. We ate dinner which was really nice and breakfast was great. They do well using much local produce. Check in woman was lovely and so was the young waitress
The older guy who works in the office who was on in the evening is rude and quite off putting. He clearly no longer likes being in the hotel industry. So much so other guests also spoke about it in the restaurant. He creates a very weird vibe.
The view and food were wonderful. The staff were friendly although they seemed a little out out that I came down for breakfast at 9:55 (it finished at 10).
The room was a little small and dated.
Quirky with a capital Q. Wonderful building with beautiful rooms and furniture. Fabulous sea view. Lovely towels. The 2 meals were delicious. The staff were very attentive and wore lovely smiles all the time. Very Dog friendly. We had a ball. The other guests were lovely.
Room a bit warm (fans were provided) and not much water pressure in bathroom.
Young staff were great. Very enjoyable stay. Extremely dog friendly hotel.
The room was very clean and decor was good. Bed was very comfortable and the food was very very good.
Location / dining room staff
Room small, at back of hotel / creaking floorboards / running cistern / shower in the bath / worn and dated carpets
Nothing really..
Service dreadful, bed creaky, poor curtains, kettle broken, only 1 set of towels/ robe provided, truly awful breakfast… And they had NO booking details for us..
A great hotel - that’s why I keep returning. Nice ambience, friendly and comfortable with great staff
All good!
Beautiful place. Full of character. Room was spotlessly clean. Stunning views. Staff were lovely. And and amazing menu!. I had the seafood platter. Absolutely amazing. My husband had the fish and chips. Top notch. Breakfast was brilliant. Can not fault in any way, and highly recommend.
Stayed a few times before. Always clean, welcoming and so peaceful with stunning views
breakfast was excellent
parking could have been better
Lovely views. Younger members of staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Owners less friendly and somewhat inflexible. Radiators warm all the time and could not be controlled. Food average.
The location of the hotel was good. The food was ok when we got it. We had to wait a long time for it and the staff were very apologetic.
The room was very small. When we entered the room there was a horrible smell. Everything in the room was tired and needed replacing and redecorating. The bathroom was fine because I think it had been painted with new bathroom furniture. We looked onto a little courtyard ( that’s if you could see through the dirty windows) which needed flowers and colour.
The property is in an incredible location, I was at the front of the property and the views were fantastic. The staff were friendly and the restaurant serves very good meals. I had the hot sea food platter and it was certainly a memorable dinner
I was on a motorbike and the drive is very steep with limited flat parking spaces. Nothing you can do with the topography of the hotel but worth considering if visiting on a motorbike or as a wheelchair/ mobility aid user though this didn’t detract from the stay for me personally.
Great Hotel, very cozy. Amazing service and the rooms are very nice aswell
L'emplacement
Chambres pas très propre, petites et confort modeste
The property is beaming with history and architectural detail. The atmosphere is welcoming and the owner made us feel at home, sharing interesting stories about the building and how it became a hotel. He had saved and maintained beautiful climbing roses which we could see from our window! The location is great, central yet quiet and the breakfast was delicious!

Location and dinner were excellent
Nothing
Love the place - the location and the staff.
Couldn't get the four poster bed!
Location spot on, elevated views over the loch and Campeltown. Room comfortable, breaky tasty, ample parking . Our room check in was 3pm, however we got in at 09.30.
Nothing negative to say, I would stay there again.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location, a little stroll out of town. The food was great and the two young staff who served breakfast were excellent.
The single room is very small - it worked for me but it is a bit of a squeeze. Also the room got very hot at night.
Lovely hotel in a great location, we had beautiful views over the loch from the bedroom. Nicely decorated bedroom, with comfortable bed, and nice linen. Friendly owners and staff. Hotel has a very interesting history.
Nice location
Food and price
Clean comfortable room. Excellent breakfast, service was quick, friendly and efficient
All good
The views from Craigard Hotel were stunning..
The room was a bit cramped.
Lovely couple of nights here, very comfortable hotel and we were made very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the view from the bedroom (Sanda) was breathtaking, I could have sat for hours watching the Loch from the window. We ate here both nights and had lovely meals. It was so quiet and the bed comfortable so we had a good night's sleep.we walked into Campbeltown , about 20 min, nice little town with a couple of good cafes. You could also take a short walk in the other direction to a little beach. Photo is view from room
Nothing to say
The staff and management are excellent, the food is very good.
It is expensive.
Great historic old building with original features and an interesting past, overlooking the Loch, great view from the dining room. I
Nothing to dislike, the staff were very nice and very helpful.
A fascinating old building steeped in Kintyre history
Nothing … it was ideal. Room 4 a special treat!!!
Een werkelijk fenomenaal pand met hoge plafonds met veel ornamenten. Ongelooflijk vriendelijke eigenaren.
Lovely place, nice rooms and staff very helpful
My wife's meals were cold, and mac and cheese full of grease. Mines was nice. Didn't like the tray service as thry dont have a bar as such and room as freezing
Extremely comfortable bed and quirky, interesting decor plus charming, helpful staff made our stay a pleasure.
Cracking little place and comfy and clean
Nothing all good
Great comfy friendly Staff and clean

Beautiful place with lots of history staff could not do any more for U. Great place to stay
Amazing building with history
Always stay here whether it is for work or some R&R. Foods always great. You will wait a little bit of time for your food, but, I don't see that as a negative, just give yourself extra time in morning if there for work - more so see it as a positive to relax a bit, enjoy the view and hydrate with some fine beverages. When your food arrives, you'll realise why service is the way it is, food is always absolutely excellent and well prepared.
I actually love staying here, have done on every occasion I have been to Campbeltown. The only negative I can see that others may find is the speed of service, but as mentioned above, its worth the wait.
The location of Craigard house was stunning, over looking the bay and away from the main town. Our garden room was perfect for the dog and the street was quiet for a walk along to the coastal path in the morning.
The shower temperature was either hot or exceptionally hot. Minor note, the room was well equipped, although the waterfall feature wall wasnt quite in keeping with the style of the property. A dark green perhaps might be more fitting and elevate the room.
The location was amazing. Cooked breakfast was great. Staff and owner were lovely. A special shout out to Ashleigh who was so bubbly and friendly. An asset to the hotel
Nothing.
Excellent food good value for monry
Small double bed
Nice breakfast. I had two dinners in two nights and they were tasty! The room was really nice! Very comfortable bed at last!! Nice en-suite! Will be back there in the near future.
I didn't like this hotel - it was too warm!! But I know it was the time of the weather. I think the hotel may need upgrade?
Staff very friendly and welcoming.
Can't complain about anything.
The views were spectacular. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm
The property was amazing, clean and comfortable homely. It feels like being in Downtown Abbey on a smaller scale. The staff are just as friendly and welcoming. They were professional with all customers, but also connected on a personal level. I would stay here over and over again.
Nothing
The location and view are great. On-site parking. Very clean. Big bathroom. Comfortable bed.
verry good breakfast
Car parking
Very quiet location. Short walk into town. Great view from lounge and dining room
Could of done with outside night over the steps
Nice old building with great view across water
Restaurant food average. Room was not spotlessly clean
Location is perfect, food was excellent and staff very helpful
Needs investment
Always love staying here.
Hotel had character
Parking could be better
Peaceful setting
Staff were friendly and the food excellent
The room had a stale smell
Great location, beautiful views and had personal history attached. Staff were very attentive, polite and went above and beyond. A lot of supplies which was a nice touch!
Very outdated bathroom and bed was really uncomfortable/not as advertised. A lot of stains and mould in the bathroom. Breakfast options were good and the range of options was excellent but the Scottish breakfast wasn’t the best quality (link sausage specifically).
Nice and quiet area; staff are nice and polite; food is fresh and has a good selection.
Really good staff and a great selection of breakfast. High standard, all fresh, and people are really helpful. Rooms are nice and comfortable. The area is nice and quiet, so it's an ideal place for rest.
Great food and great location.
Nothing
Fantastic property, excellent food and service, would highly recommend
100% well worth booking
The room was fine. Breakfast food was first class with plenty of options.
I dislike eating in the company of dogs. A group of guests has a small dog which began to yap on one morning and the next day peed on the floor at the side of my table. Not exactly what you want at breakfast. Why can't people leave their dogs in the room. Dog owners must understand not everyone likes their dogs as they do. To be fair another guest had a dog which was quiet and well behaved
Like stepping into an Agatha Christie novel. Lovely. We arrived very late, driving through a storm and were delighted to find that the kitchen had stayed open for us. Just as well as the food was delicious and I was pleased to see an exhaustive wine list which is rare in this part of the world. Our 10/10 breakfast the next morning was enjoyed as the storm still raged outside. The views were amazing but made even more special by the biblical rain.
Nothing.
Clean , tidy, friendly staff,
Food , although very good was a bit expensive .. Still waiting on my invoice which has been requested several times
Nice location and vews. Bed not very comfortable. Staff service was challenging (meal service and checkout).
Location is superb, excellent views of the town and harbour. Beautiful old building with lovely grounds at the front…..and a very interesting history.
👍
The staff is kind, considerate and caring. We felt like we were staying with friends that were sharing their home with us. A beautiful location with a nice view over the water into the town. The food was also well prepared, tasty, generous and authentic. We had to leave early and on our way out at 6:00 a.m. they had prepared a very nice bag of goodies to take with us, so thoughtful and very much appreciated. Jeff & Janet
I love staying here. Great room great location and fantastic view. Staff great.
I wasn't able to book dinner cos of a function or something.
Die Lage war Top, das Personal war sehr nett. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Zimmer war gut
Etwas hellhörig das Haus.
The menu was very good. I liked the architecture of the building and a great deal of care had gone into the initial building. Glass work and covings were outstanding. At least Grade 2 listing. The flooring in the main rooms was very good but unfortunately need a big uplift Overall the presentation of the public rooms is good . The bedroom allocated was large and well appointed. It is much newer than the rest of the building. Other residents at the time of my stay had suggested that it was "tired". However it is a building of the late 19th Century 1880's?? so remember this is a period property. Great location with stunning views across Campbelltown Loch.
I appreciated the ambience of the building but for choice I would have improved the lighting in the hallway and had a more professional desk for reception.
Food was excellent. Dining room views superb.
Spacious room and good location within easy walking distance to the town center. We also really appreciated the possibility to check in late.
