Frühstücksbuffet war am Abreisetag fast leer, wurde auch nicht aufgefüllt, obwohl noch 1 Stunde Frühstücken möglich war.

We hebben een aangenaam verblijf gehad. Het ontbijt is ontzettend uitgebreid, het zwembad een heerlijke plek om een dagje te relaxen (extra fijn: er is een bar bij het zwembad voor wat snacks en drinken) en het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ook loop je vanaf hier in een kwartiertje naar het centrum van Stresa waar je genoeg winkeltjes en restaurantjes vindt.

De airco was wel een dingetje. In onze kamer werkte hij niet, waarna dit heel goed en snel is opgelost door het personeel van het hotel. Onze nieuwe kamer deed de airco het 'te goed'. Bij de zachtste stand leek het alsnog alsof je een orkaan losliet in de ruimte wat het geluid betrof. Ook was het erg licht 's nachts in de kamer door het licht op de gang dat onder de deur piepte en felle lampjes van oa de airco.

Very helpful staff. Clean rooms and property. Adequate breakfast. Air conditioning in the room. Good location - near the lake and old town. Small outdoor swimming pool (we didn't use, but it looked nice). Great blackout louvers over the windows kept it dark when you wanted to sleep. Quiet area.

The showers Italy are frequently problematic - some are too narrow or don't have a way to keep the water off of the bathroom floor. Our shower had a curtain that should have kept the water in, but there wasn't a ridge/lip on the floor around the shower area, and the floor was sloped slightly out of the shower area. So the water spread across the entire bathroom floor (to the toilet, under a floor rack, under the sink). I spent a while trying to dry the floor which showed me that the floor was already very clean.

Kleines, sehr feines Hotel!

Tolle ruhige Lage nahe an der Abfahrtsstelle der Boote zu den Bormäischen Inseln. Parkmöglichkeit direkt am Hotel. Wenn man nach St. Caterina, Arona oder Intra fahren möchte, muss man zur Anlegestelle an die andere Seite der Stadt gehen (ca. 20 min). Sehr nette Altstadt mit vielen tollen Geschäften, Cafes und Restaurants.

Een gezellig zitje beneden als het regent gemist. Geen drank mee mogen nemen naar het zwembad maar wel € 4.50 voor een flesje water en € 6.50 voor een klein glaasje bier rekenen.

Hôtel très bien situé dans Stresa. Parfait pour les départs vers les îles Borromées. Nous étions en rez-de-chaussée, on ne peut pas dire si la vue est belle, mais on voit le lac depuis l'hôtel. Le cadre est bien végétalisé. Les logements est spacieux très bien équipés. La piscine qui permet aussi de nager pas que se rafraichir. Le personnel est charmant.

La ventilation de la climatisation qui tombe sur le lit c'est pas idéal. Le service pour charger sa voiture qui fonctionne TRES mal. Faites simple : une prise classique. On va rester au moins la nuit donc ça suffit, et on paie sur la chambre la consommation électrique.

Am besten hat uns der Pool gefallen: 15 m lang, mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen ausgestattet, dort konnte man wirklich sehr gut relaxen ! Nicht so schön war, dass um 18h das Personal schon alles zusammenräumt, obwohl die Öffnungszeiten bis 20h angegeben waren (man fühlte sich "wie herausgedrängt")

Wir hatten ein "Deluxe" Doppelzimmer mit Balkon und Seeblick gebucht - der Balkon war groß, aber leider nur mit 2 kleinen Stühlen bestückt, so dass Trocknen von Handtüchern o.ä. recht schwierig war. Zudem war die stark befahrene Straße gleich vor dem Balkon, so dass man nicht bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen konnte, selbst geschlossen hörte man noch viel vom Verkehr! Das Zimmer als "Deluxe" zu bezeichnen ist absolut nicht angebracht: ein super kleines Zimmer, max 17-18qm groß, die Betten nur 1,80 lang, der einzige Schrank war eine 50cm breite "Kiste" mit Hängeleiste, aber ohne weitere Fächer - ansonsten gab keine Ablagemöglichkeit mehr (außer 2 kleinen Nachttischen), so dass wir aus den Koffern auf dem Boden leben mussten. Aber wirklich sehr schlimm war das Bad: so klein, dass man sich nicht einmal umdrehen konnte (s. Bilder), der Abstand von der Toilette zur Wand betrug 24 cm (!), vom Waschbecken zur Heizung 47 cm, für große oder etwas kräftigere Menschen sehr anstrengend!! Nur der Kosmetikspiegel hing auf 1,70 oder 1,75cm, was für mich mit 1,65 nicht einsehbar war und ich überlegt habe, wie große Menschen in dem Bad und auch Bett klarkommen. Und obwohl ich direkt nach Zimmerübergabe das Ganze bemängelt habe, wurde mir bestätigt, dass es sich um ein "Deluxe" Zimmer handelt -

Personnel accueillant, chaleureux et serviable. Hôtel situé à 15min à pied du centre-ville et de l’embarcadère pour les îles. Piscine plus qu’appréciable en période de fortes chaleurs. Petit-déjeuner varié et copieux.

L’esthétique extérieure austère (mais qui s’efface positivement lorsqu’il fait nuit). Coût un peu élevé au vu des prestations.

Très bon emplacement pour découvrir Stresa et les îles Borromées. Le personnel est très sympathique et la piscine un vrai plus quand il fait chaud.

Nous avons passé 6 nuits dans cet hôtel. Personnel adorable. Emplacement idéal par rapport au centre de Stresa. La vue de notre chambre sur les îles Borromées était splendide. Chambre très propre et spacieuse. La piscine derrière l’hôtel est vraiment très agréable et au calme. Nous recommandons vivement.

A quiet hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast was a real pleasure, both because of the lovely setting and the quality of the products served. Free parking and a swimming pool are included in the stay.

Le bruit : hôtel à l’intérieur très bruyant. Les chambres ne sont pas isolées phoniquement. Vous êtes réveillés par la chambre d’à côté qui parle, va aux toilettes (et vous entendez tous les détails). Lorsqu’on ouvre une chambre, le mécanisme émet une mélodie très bruyante. Ça vous réveille dès que quelqu’un rentre dans sa chambre. La dame de l’accueil est très désagréable. Nous avons attendu 15mn que quelqu’un daigne venir pour le Check-out. Comme nous avions un timing à respecter pour une visite, nous avons demandé à la dame du petit déjeuner de nous aider (très gentille). Elle est allée la chercher. Et nous a répondu : elle ne viendra que dans 10mn!, alors nous avons insisté (gentiment )et la personne est arrivée, très désagréable. Manifestement n’avait pas envie d’être dérangée et de venir faire le Check out (à 10h je précise, pas à 7h…) Bref. Ça a terminé le séjour sur une note très désagréable.

La clim ne marchait pas la nuit malgré notre remontée au personnel qui est venu vérifier les réglages. Il semble que les clim soient vieilles et tirent toutes sur le même moteur pas assez puissant. Nous avons eu très chauds et très mal dormi pour le tarif de la chambre ce n’est pas normal. Dans la salle du petit dej pas de clim non plus avec les fortes chaleurs….

Olemme jo toisen kerran tässä hotellissa. Pidän paljon henkilökunnasta ja huoneen siisteydestä sekä allasalue on viihtyisä. Parkkipaikka erinomainen vaikka saavuimme retkeilypakulla paikalle. Ilmastointi oli erinomainen!

Kaikki oli tosi hyvin, jos jotain kehittäisin niin laittaisin pihalle enemmän näyttäviä kukkia. Sopisi hotellin tyyliin kauniisti!

Een heel .mooi en rustig hotel met een heerlijk zwembad in een prachtige omgeving.. Super ontbijt. Alles wordt keurig onderhouden. Fijne loopafstand naar het centrum en geweldige parkeergelegenheid bij het hotel.

Frokosten var bra, god beliggenhet for å gå til byen. Hyggelig hotel og betjening. Greie senger. hadde en veranda med flott utsikt til Isola Bella på 20 m2. Pga varmen brukte vi den ikke. Flott uteområde med bar og basseng.

Rommet og badet var litt lite, men greit nok.

La piscina ma mancava un po’ di musica tranquilla sembrava un funerale dovevamo aspettare che si apriva il bar alle 13:00 per sentire un po’ di musica !

Lo staff del bar della piscina Non erano gentili avevano il musso tutto il tempo , apriva a partire delle 13:00 con il caldo che sta facendo potevano aprire prima!!! Avevamo chiesto un aperitivo con maxi toast , la ragazza mi ha portato il toast con delle patatine tutte schiacciate, il aperol spritz era pieno di ghiaccio non li avevano messo quasi niente di aperol , il pane del toast sembrava vecchio aveva solo una fetta di formaggio e una fetta de prosciutto per un maxi toast ! Il tipo del bar era antipatico neanche salutava, anche per la colazione erano sempre loro senza salutare , la macchina che faceva il caffè , cappuccino era vecchia dovevamo aspettare tanto per fare 2 cappuccino, quindi non torneremo , la reception erano gentile le donne e anche quelle che facevano la pulizia il resto un disastro.!

Just back from a lovely time at this family run boutique hotel. In a great area just at the end of the main strip so lovely and peaceful but only a 15 minute walk along the lakeshore to the main town of Stresa. We had a room with a huge balcony/terrace overlooking the lake which was kept very clean everyday by the marvelous housekeeping staff. Only thing really missing was draw space and a bin for the room. Great swimming pool on the premises which was lovely and quiet during the week but got a bit chaotic at the weekend when family and friends took over wasn't really a problem though as we were out exploring everyday. Overall a fantastic value for money hotel with a great breakfast and a team that makes your stay worthwhile thanks Guys.

Staff were amazing. Great service and assisted with anything that was asked of them. Room was good. Balcony lovely. It was bigger than the room and great view of the lake.

One minor item, the bathroom window would not shut. We had a large number of mosquito bites which may have been due to the window.

Nice hotel in a great location with everything in walking distance. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful.

Aamiainen oli hyvä ja monipuolinen. Ihana parveke josta kaunis maisema järvelle ja hotellin pihalle. Rauhallinen hotelli. Erittäin ystävällinen henkilökunta. Stresan keskustaan n 1 km kaunista rantatietä. Auton sai hyvin parkkiin pihalle.

Die Lage des Hotels war sehr gut., zu Fuss ist man in ca. 5 Minuten am See. Das Zimmer hatte Seeblick und war sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war vielfältig.

Das Bad war sehr klein. Zum Frühstück gab des keine Möglichkeit ein Spiegel- bzw. Rührei zu bekommen.

Bardzo słaba obsługa, niekompetentna Fatalnie zbudowany budynek hotelu, ściany jak z kartonu, bardzo niestety akustyczny i nie da się spać, ponieważ wszystko słychać z innych pokoi, stropy również ze słabych konstrukcji, kiedy ktoś chodzi na górze wszystko się trzęsie i słychać każdy krok Ponadto bardzo głośna klimatyzacja nie z tych czasów działająca wyłącznie na najwyższych obrotach bez możliwości zmiany i ustawień Hotel bardzo słabo zbudowany i słabo zorganizowany

Im Zimmer fehlten zwei Stühle, um die Kleider abzulegen. Trotz Klimaanlage war es im Zimmer übermässig heiss.

Upon arrival at La Fontana, I was ill with an infection because of the animal smells on the bed covering in Bergamo. La Fontana put me on a road to health again, I stayed at La Fontana for four days. The team of receptionists and the breakfast crew were amazing. Stephania provided directions to a local pharmacy who was able to give me some medicine. The staff helped me hydrate and the food was delicious. The breakfast yogurt was the best I had in Italy. I added the beautiful walnuts. The experienced staff knew that I was sick and made everything to make me comfortable. They make dinner reservations at hotels for me and I got a discount because I stay at La Fontana. My room at La Fontana was immaculate and has good air circulation which is important for someone having breathing issues. Everything about the room was comfortable. The guests have fun sitting by the pool, swimming having drinks, a bite to eat and I would stay here again conversation or they can sit at a quiet table and work on their tablet. I wish to offer my gratitude to the entire staff, especially Stephania, and the woman who sets up breakfast

Des crochets pour pendre ses vêtements dans la salle de bain seraient bienvenus ainsi que des planche dans la garde robe.au petit déjeuner, j’aime bien couper mon moi-même.

Cette fois-ci, nous avions choisi l’appartement adjacent et nous en avons été très satisfaits. L’espace était immense, très propre et vraiment confortable. La chambre était agréable et la vue superbe. Nous n’avons en revanche pas vraiment utilisé la cuisine cette fois-ci, donc nous ne pouvons pas vraiment nous prononcer sur cet aspect. Pour le reste, tout était tout à fait satisfaisant. Le parking directement sur place était très pratique, l’accueil agréable, et l’espace du petit déjeuner particulièrement mignon. Il faut aussi souligner le très joli jardin de l’hôtel, très bien entretenu et vraiment agréable. Le seul petit bémol concernait les travaux de rénovation du bâtiment voisin. Cela dit, l’établissement n’y peut évidemment rien, et nous avons eu de la chance d’arriver à des horaires plutôt calmes. Les travaux reprenaient assez tôt le matin, mais cela semble temporaire et, d’après ce que nous avons compris, le chantier touche bientôt à sa fin.

La situation géographique de l hôtel est idéale car il est proche de tout et au calme . L’accueil du personnel est parfait (souriant, serviable et disponible). Le parking privé gratuit est aussi très pratique.

La cabine de douche etait un peu petite.

Stunning location - 5 mins walk into Stresa. 10 mins walk to the train station. Beautiful gardens. Modern swimming pool with plenty of loungers and towels that are provided. Wonderful nights sleep. Stayed in Magnolia room in the annex. Needs a mirror in the hall or bedroom. Only one is in the bathroom. I personally really enjoyed breakfast. Great selection of fruit/ nuts/seeds and yoghurt. My personal preference would be to leave the hard boiled eggs out of the fridge...they were too cold. Also maybe scrambled eggs. Finally when using the coffee machine, swipe the screen to the right and gives yoy a lot more choices. Nobody made us aware of this and only discovered on the last day by accident. Extremely friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast room. Apologies but I didn't see the cleaners but my room was immaculate once they had worked thier magic. Make sure you do a trip to the 3 Borroman Islands. I was sceptical but they were stunning (Palace & Gardens)

Ho soggiornato due notti sul Lago Maggiore e mi sono trovata davvero molto bene. La camera era perfetta, molto pulita e curata. La colazione è stata uno dei punti forti: ricca, di ottima qualità e davvero buonissima. La struttura si trova inoltre in una posizione comoda, a circa 15 minuti a piedi dal centro di Stresa. Un ringraziamento speciale anche al personale, sempre gentile, disponibile e accogliente.

Sehr schlechte Bewertung aus folgendem Grund: Wir hatten das Hotel gebucht und es wurde auch bestätigt, Zahlung erfolgte ebenfalls im Voraus. Am Tag der Anreise, wir waren schon mit dem Auto unterwegs, wurde dann vom Hotel die Buchung ohne Angabe von Gründen storniert. Per Mail. Die Mail dazu hatten wir nur durch Zufall noch vor Ankunft gelesen. Haben dann von unterwegs eine Alternative gebucht. Danke an booking.com für d Unterstützung.
