Reviewed Sep 18, 2026We gingen normaal gesproken pas arriveren na 16u (na sluiting van de receptie) en dit was helemaal geen probleem voor het personeel. Deze had met veel plezier onze check-in reeds in orde gebracht en de instructies om op onze kamer te kunnen per WhatsApp bezorgd. Om 15u50 kwamen we toe en werden we alsnog opgewacht door een ontzettende vriendelijke dame die ons na onze zware wandeling een heerlijk frisse kan met water en limoen bezorgde. Ze begeleidde ons naar onze kamer en zette meteen de airco aan voor ons. De kamer was netjes en ruim genoeg voor één nacht met 3 personen, het terras was een absoluut pluspunt! We mochten ook onze koelelementen in de diepvriezer van de keuken bewaren voor onze laatste wandeldag. We hadden op voorhand geen ontbijt vastgelegd, maar dit mochten we last minute toch nog doen. Een verblijf waar we met veel plezier en een warm hart op terugdenken.
De badkamer is een beetje verouderd, douchegordijn is niet erg prettig, maar prima om een snelle douche te nemen. Het ontbijt was oké.

Manque d'équipements dans la chambre (pas de bouilloire et de quoi se faire un thé ou un café ; pas de petite bouteille d'eau ...). Plus de personnel à partir de 16h. Compliqué parfois de gérer certains services comme le besoin de taxi malgré la fiche d'informations. Aucun commerce de proximité (rien à moins de 700 mètres voire au-delà).

Alt var rent, godt og velindrettet og personalet var yderst imødekommende og venlige og gav gode bud på spisesteder tæt på hotellet. God morgenmad med venlig servering.

Na een lange wandeltocht langs de Via Francigena kijk je uit naar wat comfort. Leuk hotel, goed gelegen, alles oké, maar de douche is een afknapper. Amper warm water, soms een heel klein straaltje.

Bij de aanduiding 'resort' verwacht je iets meer dan gewoon een keurig hotel. Misschien een zwembad of een spa? Verder bestond het 'continental breakfast' toch vooral uit zoetigheid. Daar had ik meer van verwacht.

The accommodation has bus and train services nearby. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fine. It had been booked for us by our tour company but there were lots of options on the menu.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2025We Loved the owner and her sister who runs The hotel which has a positive family vibe which you wouldn’t find at the big hotels. Friendliness was at the top of the agenda and we know we are spoilt because they understood and spoke perfect English. They gave us a map and knew everything about the area they live in and how to get to and from the city of Rome.

The pictures on Bookings led us to believe the place was roomier and more updated. Overall the property was very outdated, and the patio outdoors wasn't really comfortable. Long hill to climb too if walking via Francigena and it is gated so entry requires some figuring out. Breakfast was very mediocre.

Reviewed May 30, 2025This hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. We were given plenty of instructions about accessing the building and the room. Beautifully decorated room with basic amenities. Lots of hot water readily available. There was also a fridge in the room which was good for storing our snacks from the supermarket 15mins walk away.
Unfortunately there were a lot of mosquitos, there were some coming out of the drain in the bathroom and others from the old empty pool in the courtyard I suspect. They didn't ruin the trip but are something to be aware of (the windows did not have bug screens either.) Also the kettle in the room only came with herbal tea bags and not coffee which was a shame, so bring some instant sachets with you. You can buy a continental breakfast of pastries, cereal, coffee etc for €15 on site. I was attending a wedding in the area so the location was good, however it would be a 37 minute train ride into the center of Rome from the train station 15mins away. Local trains are incredibly inexpensive though which is a plus. The beds are very firm and a wool blanket is provided, I liked it but my partner found it itchy and uncomfortable.

The downsides were no food or drink on the premises (the vending machine a bit sad) and an overpriced breakfast - 8 euros for one croissant and coffee from a machine. But lovely to wake to birdsong.

Maybe I’m just used to London but it was strange. Other than that amazing location really beautiful and very helpful staff even over WhatsApp!!
