Mi habitación no tenía ventilación ni en el baño ni en el cuarto, la única ventana que había no se podía abrir por el TV. Eso hizo que el cuarto se sintiera siempre caliente. Por lo demás, 0 reclamos.

El trato de las personas de la recepción es 20/10, son muy amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudar . Ofrecen un excelente desayuno, muy completo con el cual quedas bastante satisfecho La ubicación es muy buena, estás a unos 7 minutos caminando de la plaza central, hay restaurantes cerca para desayunar o cenar a buen precio. En las noches es bastante tranquilo y se puede descansar bien

La habitación muy oscura y al lado del cuarto de lavado, la primera noche estuvo con mucho ruido por la lavadora 11 pm y estaban lavando! :@ Reservamos el jacuzzi el día anterior de usarlo y cuando llegamos a la hora acordada no estaba funcionando, no hubo notificación, nos nos avisaron, nada. Según ellos no había agua.

La estadía estuvo en general muy bien, muy cómoda la habitación, bastante espaciosa y con todo lo necesario. Se debe tener presente que no tiene parqueadero, aunque se puede estacionar afuera.

Nuestra estadía fue bastante cómoda, el personal muy atento y colaborador siempre. Las habitaciones muy cómodas y limpias. El desayuno muy rico. Solo tuvimos un contratiempo con la entrega de una habitación porque se demoro un poco dado a un tema interno debido a la lluvia excesiva. Otro comentario que no tiene q ver con el hotel es que aunque la plataforma dice que ya los impuestos están cubiertos, en las políticas hay una parte que dice que durante el checkin pueden haber cobros de impuestos, deberían ser más claros con la información

The rooms were very small and not ventilation

The room is big and comfortable.

First, they didn't have parking, so I had to go somewhere else to park. Second, they had no water to shower, toilet and we couldn't wash our hands or mouth.

I was charged an extra tax for no justifiable reason. That is unacceptable and wrong

En general estuvo bien la estadia, algunos puntos a mejorar el ingreso al parqueadero, no esta en las mejores condiciones y se golpean los carros especialmente si son bajos al igual que el aseo del mismo (falta mantenimiento) el apartamento amplio y comodo, unos temas menores de mantenimiento aceite para las bisagras, y seria bueno insonorizar las ventanas del cuarto principal . Las personas del hotel muy amables y receptivas a las solicitudes.

I had a reservation made 2 reservation I room with 1 queen bed and 1 room with a king bed with a balcony for the room with the balcony and I even paid more for this room and I didn’t get to room with a balcony when I told the lady at the front desk she told me there was no more room with balcony available but I told that I had paid for that room and had a reservation she told me that was not her problem that she couldn’t do anything about that. So I’m requesting a refund on that room price that I paid for and didn’t get . Also the hotel lobby is very very noisy the staff talking all night u can hear EVERYTHING in your room that door bell ringing what’s to drive u crazy . It was a horrible stay I don’t sleep at with all the noise. I told to hotel staff about the noise level they didn’t care the person just brushed me off with what I was saying. Terrible terrible stay .

El hotel está ubicado a 5-6 calles de la plaza central de la localidad... algo caminable sin problemas cuando el poblado está tan lleno como para Año Nuevo. Tomé una habitación con ventana y balcón hacia el frente del hotel y considero que eso ayudó a que la estadía fuera bastante confortable... esa sería mi recomendación para los futuros visitantes. A pesar que la ventana da a la calle principal de acceso, por la noche no hay mayor movimiento. En general, la experiencia fue buena, salvo pequeños temas de mantenimiento y amenidades (como la falta de tomacorrientes en la habitación), pero es algo comprensible en hoteles en localidades pequeña.

Con mi familia hemos visitado Villa de Leyva en varias ocasiones y en este caso el hotel superó las expectativas, la suite cómoda, el desayuno que estaba incluido fue sobresaliente, en general muy bien. Lo único q no esta a favor es la distancia a la plaza central

El hotel se ve normal, un ambiente moderno y frío. La habitación que nos tocó era pésima, sin luz natural, interior y tocaba dejar la cortina abajo. Además se escuchaba el ruido y las vives de la gente. Fue como dormir en la recepción.

Realmente fue una estadía muy regular, no pude dormir bien ninguna de las 3 noches que estuvimos, básicamente pagamos por la habitación estándar, pero así sea la habitación mas económica que ofrecen, debería ofrecer las comodidades mínimas para descansar.... la habitación y el baño son extremadamente pequeños, por ende, la cama es super pequeña y no estoy hablando de ancho, si no de largo.. yo no soy muy alto y la mitad de mis piernas se salían de la cama. Por otro lado el calor, este cuarto tiene una ventana pero no abre, así que el calor en la noche es impresionante. Deberían poner aire acondicionado por lo menos por si alguien lo quiere prender. De verdad que recomiendo al hotel mejorar estos cuartos Estándar o a las personas que nunca reserven estos cuartos. De resto el Hotel esta bien ubicado, limpio, el desayuno es bueno, el personal es amable y atento

Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, por lo tanto, nos tocó cambiamos para una de mayor precio y más grande, el ruido se siente mucho y además el desayuno muy demorado, aunque puede ser por protocolos de bioseguridad.

The hotel is lovely and well maintained, however I recommend avoiding the "Balcony" rooms as they are RIGHT on the main entryway to the town. We heard traffic and drunk people in the middle of the night. Two of the three workers were outstanding, which is wonderful for Colombia (where I expect poor service normally) the third was very Colombian and terrible at customer service. For example we ordered room service from her including a Caesar Salad, and she decided it was best to tell us "Que pena" there is no salad at 10:10pm when the kitchen had already closed. Again, I'm used to bad service in this country, but this is a rather expensive hotel.

It is a beautiful hotel, very comfortable beds and rooms. It is about 700 meters away from Villa de Leyva's main square. The breakfast is tasty, with eggs, fruit and good coffee.

It was a nice hotel, beds were comfortable and breakfast was served every morning either in restaurant or through room service free of charge. It was at walking distance from the Plaza Mayor (approximately 10 minutes). There is a jacuzzi you can reserve for hours. The only down-side was the fact that walls are very thin so if there is any noise outside it gets hard to sleep.

Excellent service. Friendly staff. The room has a balcony with a view, a bar fridge, a comfortable king-sized bed, a table and three chairs, a flat-screen TV (that we didn't use), and a nice bathroom. There's also potable water out of the faucet. Good location: close to Plaza Mayor, restaurants, groceries (and cervezas), etc. They have complimentary coffee, fruit, and water in the lobby. The breakfasts are also tasty: we have a choice of fruit juice or fresh fruit, eggs done as we like, buns with butter and jam, and coffee or hot chocolate. A lovely hotel, and our room is facing the street, and hence is very noisy. We sleep with ear-plugs so the noise doesn't bother us as much as it would some others. When we checked in, we did look at some other rooms, and some of the back rooms are small and with little natural light.There's no elevator. Staff will help with luggage, but for people with mobility challenges this could be a problem.

The hotel was ok for the price. However, the room facing the street is quite noisy.

This is an extremely nice hotel in a lovely town. The hotel is about 10 minutes out from the centre of town which means you don't get the noise from the bars and restaurants in the centre. Rooms are very nicely appointed and there is a very nice breakfast included. Staff are very friendly but don't speak much English. Price is very reasonable for the high standard of accommodation.

The hotel is very well located, just at the entrance of the city, within easy walking distance to the center and touristic parts of the city. Its is also easy to go to other touristic places outside the city, avoiding the traffic of the center. The Hotel is nice, the rooms are small, and the staff is very kind. BUT, the rooms and the hotel in general has noise problems: you can easily ear what is going on in the kitchen, the music of the staff, noise from other rooms, etc... A pitty, especially during the night or in the morning.

The hotel feels new in all aspects. It is on the main route in/out of Villa de Leyva and a 2 minutes walk to the start of the shops, bars etc. 10 minutes to the main square where everybody goes to chill out in the evening. I was made to feel extremely welcome with drinks and fruit being proferred by the staff. The check in was fast and I was in my room quickly, it was on the top floor, I loved it, the bed was vast and comfortable. The bathroom high quality with an excellent shower. The whole place, rooms and common areas have been finished to a very high and modern standard. This hotels owners are definitely intending to make an impact on the local hotel industry, I wish them well. They suggested moving me to another room, when I asked why it was because they wanted to give me a better room !!! The price for this hotel was a bargain as well. Overall a great hotel, very helpful staff, although a working knowledge of Spanglish will help. A relaxing, high standard for a low price hotel.

No hot water, terrible............................

Leydi is the best - the staff is as friendly as can be and the rooms are extremely clean and modern. Additionally the breakfast was delicious and the location of the hotel was prime - within min walking distance of the beautiful central plaza. Especially given the economic rate, this has to be the best option in town for the value. You will not be dissappointed with your stay and Leydi and her crew will do their best to accomodate for your every need .

We booked this hotel through booking.com, and, although it was a fairly decent basic hotel, it was not what we were lead to believe. Booking.com said it had air conditioning and mountain views. We saw 3 rooms and none had AC, fan or any view at all! Our initial room was very dark with a window which faced immediately onto the wall of another building, allowing very little light in. We noticed a loud electrical noise right outside which occurred every few minutes, perhaps a generator of some kind. We figured it would keep us awake and tried to ask if it would continue all night, but it was a little difficult to get our point across with limited Spanish. We eventually asked to move rooms, and were given a 3 person room with a double and single bed, which was fine, although there was no external window, only one facing into the central area. However, 5 minutes later, the woman from reception knocked on our door to tell us she hadn't realised we were staying more than one night, and that this room was in fact booked from tomorrow. So we moved again to the only available room, which had 2 single beds- not ideal for a couple, but the room was larger and, in fairness, it was our choice to move from the original double, so we decided to take it. This too didn't have a proper window, just a small skylight with a curtain we could not reach to open. Although AC was not really needed, the room did get very hot and stuffy during the day and a fan or a window which opened would have made it more pleasant. The hotel and rooms were clean and pleasant with a nice terrace. A few minor things, such as our towels not being changed, toiletries not replaced and minibar never refilled, could be improved upon. Staff were friendly and helpful, but non-Spanish speaking guests should be aware no English is spoken, so it may be difficult to make requests understood. It is located a 10 minute walk outside the old town, on a quiet street which is good for sleep quality but a little creepy to walk along late at night- nobody around.All in all a nice hotel but it is not accurately described on booking.com and may lead to disappointment if you are expecting mountain views and air conditioned rooms!

I booked this hotel thru Expedia. Most of the hotel info was wrong. Here is the truth. The Hotel Santa Maria is located on the main highway leading into Villa de Leyva from Tunja. The Hotel is located an easy ten minute walk from downtown Plaza Mayor and five minutes from the bus stop. There are sidewalks to the Plaza and the way is lighted at night for a safe stroll. This hotel is currently not shown on Google maps but is immediately adjacent to Posada La Villa de Alcala which is. There are several cheap places to eat and a small supermarket on the way to the Plaza. No English is spoken at this hotel. We were able to get by with our limited Spanish. However, had a problem arisen, communication would have been difficult. Our room was on the second floor with no elevator. The room had free, fast wifi, a very comfortable kingsize bed, and a large (47inch?) flat screen tv. There were many tv channels but none in English. The small bathroom had a tiled shower, rain head with plenty of pressure and hot water. There was no heating or cooling but neither were badly needed during our stay. The room had only one chair. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the street. The property was modern, very clean and well maintained. The room had no soundproofing at all. The street noise, adjacent room noise, and hall noise made sleeping difficult. There is a soccer arena across the street producing noise along with the usual barking dogs, crowing roosters, etc. By the third night we were sleeping through the noise. The free breakfast was a disappointment. It consisted only of fruit juice(no whole fruit), rolls, and your choice of eggs.

Even though we had reservations and confirmation numbers from BOOKING.COM, they had no rooms when we arrived. They didn't even offer to help us find rooms. Our guide with 32 years experience guiding in Colombia was astounded by their attitude. He had double checked our reservations, but that was no help. No rooms means no rooms and a confirmation number means nothing. Luckily we were able to find rooms at HOTEL SANTA VIVIANA and were very pleased with every aspect of our stay.
