The recently renovated rooms were a good size and well appointed. The breakfast was good. Dave the owner was a legend, helpful, informative and very personable. Nothing was a bother.

Excellent value for money, and service. Dave was very accommodating.

It was easy to find and was clean and comfortable.

Nothing-it was my choice to stay in Birkenhead so I knew I’d have to navigate public transport to get there. But it meant I could travel on the Mersey Ferry!! £6.80 for a daily pass on all public transport was brilliant value.

Der Blick vom Zimmer zur Waterfront war beeindruckend schön. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat gute Tipps gegeben. Unmittelbar in der Nähe war die Fähre zum übersetzen nach Liverpool. Der Parkplatz im Hinterhof war gut. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist ganz in der Nähe.

Das Treppenhaus ist sehr verwinkelt, eine gute Orientierung ist hilfreich. Fußläufig keine bzw. Wenig Restaurants.

The location, to us, was deceptive because we approached from the docklands side. Once round the front facing Birkenhead it was fine. The rooms are very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely and served by the charming and sociable host.

Stairs and complex doors without lifts to get suitcases to the room. Bed very soft and not so comfortable. Room hot and bedding more for winter than summer.

Friendly hosts and close to buses and ferry. Staff were exceptionally helpful explaining how to get about without a car. Room was clean and had an opening window and a fan. Bathroom was very clean.

Gleich bei der Ankunft erhielten wir eine Karte, mit der man für wenig Geld verschiedene Verkehrsmittel in Liverpool benutzen kann. Die Anlegestelle der Fähre in die Innenstadt von Liverpool konnte man in 5 min. fußläufig erreichen. Das englische Frühstück bestellte man mit verschiedenen Zutaten und es wurde frisch zubereitet.

It's a bit out of the way but handy for seacome ferry and bus station no where near to get a meal or drink so takeaway or travel to new Brighton or liscard if you want an evening meal

Wir waren zu viert via Interrail unterwegs: 2 Erwachsene, 2 Jugendliche (12 und 15). Die Zimmer hatten alles was wir gebraucht haben, waren komfortabel. Die Lage wirkt auf den ersten Blick etwas abseits vom Schuss, aber man ist recht schnell mit den Öffis vom Bahnhof aus vor Ort bzw. vom Hotel aus recht rasch in der Innenstadt von Liverpool. Das eigentliche Highlight des Hotels sind aber die Besitzer. Wer sagt, dass Liverpooler freundlich und zuvorkommend bzw. hilfsbereit sind, hat Dave und seine Familie noch nicht erlebt. Immer einen guten Tip parat, wie Liverpool noch spannender sein kann, immer super zuvorkommend und immer auf der Suche nach einer Lösung, wenn man eine Frage hat. Dazu ein wirklich super klassisches Frühstück, wie man es in England erwartet. Uns hat es super gefallen, wir wollen jedenfalls wieder kommen - nicht nur wegen Liverpool.

Everything, especially the friendly atmosphere. Freshly cooked breakfast and travel advice,with an introduction to the cash saving Metro card. Only a few minutes from the ferry, and the Ferry pubs. Would recommend this place for anyone visiting Liverpool.

Very handy for the Liverpool Belfast ferry as its less than 10 minutes from the terminal. Parking available at the rear of the building. A great freshly cooked breakfast and friendly helpful staff.

A really warm welcome from the Mum and son who ran the hotel. Chatty, helpful and just really lovely - felt at home. Great location for the ferry over to Liverpool. The room had everything you would need, and the bed was really comfy. Breakfast was very tasty - good quality full English and proper coffee! Would definitely stay again and recommend. Perfect birthday weekend topped off with a Rovers win at Magic Weekend...brilliant!

Het ontbijt is prima en wordt op maat naar wens geserveerd. Wij hadden een kamer op de 2e verdieping aan de straatzijde met uitzicht over op Liverpool. Er was veel verkeer in de straat maar met gesloten ramen was dat niet hinderlijk. Het hotel heeft een fijne eigen parkeerplaats. De Ferry naar Liverpool is op een paar minuten loopafstand. Wanneer je een openbaar vervoer dagkaart neemt, dan zit de boot erbij in. We zijn bijzonder hartelijk ontvangen en geholpen door de eigenaars. Er hangt ergens een bordje met tekst: je komt als een vreemde, en je gaat weg als een vriend. En dat gevoel hebben we zeker!

Geen klachten, alleen maar positief.

Family run business really friendly and helpful great location next to the mersey ferry, excellent breakfast and really comfy bed will definitely be staying again in the future.

Dave has done a tremendous job renovating and presenting this accommodation 👏 👏 👏 Room was a good size. Shower also good. Breakfast amazing. Good secure car park out the back. Close to the ferry, buses and train to get you to Liverpool. Dave and his mum are very helpful. Would recommend this property for anyone wanting to stay on the other side of Liverpool.

A little bit out of the way for pubs, restaurants etc. But a short drive down the road gets you to New Brighton where there is a selection of places.

Um, I drive a truck, parking was tight. I can drive it! I drive all over the UK. :-) But the hotel was busy and spaces limited!

Great location, breakfast was lovely and Dave and his mum were lovely (sorry didn't get her name) and ensured we had a great stay which we did. The room was lovely and spacious, bed was comfy, loved that was a fan in the room hahaha im always hot. Will defo be returning.

From the second you walked in you were greeted by Cheryl who made us feel at home she showed us our room which was very clean nice size and the bathroom was very nice. Cheryl gave us some recommendations for a Indian meal, thankyou Cheryl it was lovely. The bed was very comfy the breakfast both days amazing. We came as strangers and definitely left as friends. Thankyou for a lovely weekend.

Would have been good to be able to have a meal in the evening, but we knew this when we booked.

We didn't stay. Area run down, public areas in need of decoration - very institutional looking. Room ok but very small and cramped. Owner friendly but we just didn't feel comfortable so decided to drive home a day early.

The hotel was spacious and clean with a fab communal area with a large TV and comfy sofas and there was a nice little outside garden space. The breakfast was hearty and filling and the owner Dave couldn't have been more friendly or accommodating. The large car parking area was really good too. To sum up we had a very comfortable night's stay, made use of the amenities, enjoyed our breakfast and would stay there again if we were in the area.

The location and appearance of the front of the hotel from the outside didn't make a very good initial impression when we arrived, however when we drove around the back and parked, we were happier with our decision to stay there.

It was a last minute budget booking. Location on the Wirral next to the ferry terminal was excellent: nice way to get to the city and the view from the room was amazing. Looked basic from the outside, but inside it had all been recently done up and was spotless. People were very friendly and chatty and the breakfast was good too!

It exceeded any reasonable expectation. Perhaps there could have been a free helicopter service to Liverpool with a private helipad??? Perhaps the weather was a bit too hot and sunny...

I arrived late, not a good start. Dave still made me very welcome. The room included tea and coffee making facilities . The room was a nice size, very clean, tidy and very homely. Every morning I looked forward to a full English breakfast which was gorgeous

I didn't like leaving, I could have stayed all week

Good Shower, comfy bed and everywhere in the hotel was spotlessly clean. Good breakfast - Cereal, Orange Juice, your choice of hot breakfast -made to order and delicious filter coffee available to help yourself to. This hotel is excellent value for money and we would not hesitate to book again.

Location wise there didn't seem to be anywhere within walking distance for food or drink though there are plenty of places to choose from a short drive away. This didn't bother us but I mention it as for a longer stay it could be a drawback.

This is a very good b and b. Location is perfect if you are going to or have just got off the Belfast ferry. Plenty of free parking round the back. Dave is very welcoming . Rooms are spotless with very fast WiFi. Great breakfast.

Nothing to dislike except that there is no lift to upper floors but Dave will carry your luggage for you. As far as we could see there are no ground floor rooms.

Breakfast was excellent- really enjoyed our stay staff were helpful and friendly. Car park a real bonus.

The staff were fantastic, they went the extra mile. Breakfast was cooked to order and as required. Beds were extremely comfortable and bedroom very clean, and the Liver view is only 5 minutes from the ferry port.

THE BED! The breakfast, the bar, very clean and light, the owner - great and friendly attitude and I assume his mum - fantastic lady, very approachable, made my short stay very pleasant.

Very late checking, was a bit of an issue (after 9pm). Maybe good to find out a method of passing the key, like a box outside with the key code, since the checkin involved the key only.

This a humble property that is elevated by the wonderful family who run it, they make you feel at home. It is clean and our bathroom looked recently renovated. It was located just by the Mersey ferry terminal. Breakfast very tasty.

Loved the Location. Just over the Mersey from Liverpool and into the quiet of Birkenhead. Many thanks to Dave and his family for welcoming us. Their hospitality was second to none. Dave even lent us a metro card for the days we were there, even better was the cooked breakfast every morning. Thanks again for the say. Will be back again.

This is a great place to stay,being clean and comfortable and good value for money. The breakfast was very good with a range of options around the full English breakfast style. Dave was friendly and provided good advice and was genuinely interested in what you did for the day and what you plan to do.
