Outdated furniture. Yet clean. Also the 2 water bottle cap on each room.

Excellent location for visiting campus. Excellent breakfast and beautiful lobby area with both indoor and outdoor spaces to relax.

Room was very spacious and hotel was easy to find. It was convenient that parking was included free of charge.

Honestly, for the price we paid for one night, breakfast should have been included - and the waiter spilled coffee on the table when pouring for my husband and never came to wipe it up.

The breakfast was very yummy. The pool was enjoyable and the staff was fairly nice.

Room key never worked staff wasn’t pleasant

I stay at this hotel regularly because of its convenient location but the service has repeatedly fallen below expectations. During several stays, I experienced issues with housekeeping entering my room unexpectedly, including while I was sleeping. On my most recent stay, I specifically confirmed at check-in that I wanted my room cleaned, but after returning from a long day on campus close to midnight, the room had not been serviced. Then, on the morning of checkout, a housekeeping employee opened my door and busted into the room while I was still asleep. Guests should be able to expect basic housekeeping service, privacy, and the ability to sleep without staff entering their room unexpectedly. Considering the price of the hotel, the overall experience was very disappointing.

No matter how many times I spoke this one staff member at the front desk, it was like pulling teeth to get someone to clean the room. When I spoke to the housekeeping manager they kept saying we weren’t on the list. This was a major inconvenience.

Restaurant-we ate here twice. Service very slow for dinner. Cheeseburger overcooked at dinner. Lunch was much better experience. Food overall pretty good though.

The entire properly was very clean and elevated. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The lobby and hallways had a very intense perfume scent that people with allergies could have issues with. The room did not have this issue.

Good location for anything on SUNY Stonybrook Campus. It is right on campus.

It was very nice but it said they had a pool and a spa which I thought was a hot tub or jacuzzi but they didn’t have one.

I was very pleasantly surprised. I was at the Hilton Garden Inn at Stony Brook with my daughter for admission day at Stony Brook University. The Staff was amazing, especially Stephanie. The room was perfect and so comfortable, and I don't usually get snacks at the hotel, but I ended up using the little store there every day. I will probably be coming to the Hilton Garden Inn at Stony Brook often due to my daughter's coming to college at Stony Brook. It was my best Hilton experience. Thank you!

The hot tub wasn't working.

Nearby the Stony Brook University. We booked this hotel for visiting my son who is a student in this university. So it’s very convenient to stay here.

The breakfast was at 7am. Too late. It should start at 6am, maybe 6:30 am.

I have never met a nicer staff! We booked last minutes and the price was fair for the location. The restaurant? Unbelievable. Locals come to eat there, met contractors located there for a month and the wait staff and bartender are exceptional. Thank you SO much!!!

I've been to this hotel four times this past year and it's always a comfortable stay. Staff is very friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

There always tends to be small issues with the rooms. One time our fridge was leaking, the other time it completely didnt work, and this time our shower took forever to heat up and didnt reach a very high temp even when it did get a little warmer.

Brand spanking new property and smack dab in the middle of Stony Brook. We took affordable Ubers to everything. Rooms were fresh and updated. Beds were super comfy and I’m a picky girl. Bathrooms were nice. Nothing fancy but nice. Well decorated. Nice size. All good! I would stay here again. Loved the little “market” by check in where you could get a little snack, something to drink, some booze for your room, coffee. Etc.

The pay for breakfast was meh. Just go into town and get a wonderful breakfast and any one of the great cafes or restaurants.

Hello. We checked in, went to a birthday dinner, but then returned to the hotel and checked out.we did not unpack, stay, sleep there or shower. We left due to the noreaster storm worning, predicting flooding and bridge closures. Not the fault of the hotel, but left for our own safety. I am wondering if it's possible to get a credit for a future stay. Thank you

I stay here often and recommend if you like the convenience of SBU campus, although the price per night does not always match the quality of room.

Hotel was spotless and the staff especially the restaurant staff with great. It's right at Stony Brook Univ and easy to travel around 25A

Hotel was staffed with friendly people. Accommodations felt standard for Hilton. However sheets had a weird smell (possibly just the cleaning process), and one of the comforters had a dried brown blob (blood?). There was still hair in the bathroom corners and in the bedroom in the carpet. Little Market downstairs was well stocked with small things to eat and drink as well as personal care items and alcohol for purchase. Room service only ran for four hours for dinner service and charged 18$ a head for a sit down breakfast with fewer options than old buffet style. In hotel dinner was expensive and service while sit down was okay until the end when our server ended up talking to the table behind us well after we were ready for boxes, this lead to the other server in the restaurant to get us our boxes and eventually the bill as he continued to chit chat to the other table. The pool was as open 0800-2200 and was clean with attached bathrooms and towels provided. For the event we attended while we stayed it was a little more than I wanted to pay but within good distances to train stations so we could avoid city traffic. Overall: Friendly desk staff, Well stocked market, rooms not as clean as I would’ve expected for price, poor breakfast options, limited room service hours, nice pool.

The area and room was very clean. The made to order food was very good for both breakfast and dinner. There is also a breakfast buffet that comes with your reservation.

Main problem with the room was the Air Conditioning. Checked in the room was 77 degrees. Turned the ac down to 70, waited 3 hours still 77. Called the front desk they promptly sent up a tech. He looked at the stat and said everything is ok. I said no it’s 77, no reason to argue. Had trouble sleeping, the room was sticky and humid. Temp only got down to 75 during the night. Did not enjoy the stay

The lobby has an overwhelming perfume smell when you walk in. We were given 2 beds when we booked a king. I asked and they just said they oversold.

The room was not what I would expect for $400.00 a night. The bathroom sink was cracked, the dresser drawer would not close. The overall room was very outdated and furnished with poor quality furniture

Perfect location for any event on campus.
