Wego Hotel - Linsen

Big room

Very heavy smoke smell, slightly sketchy location (though that was on me for not doing enough research). Was a last minute booking on a busy weekend

Interior is quite old. And disappointingly not clean

I booked the hotel online based on pictures. It looks like it is supposed to be in a building but it is actually a motel with each room having a garage entrance. You can’t lock your actual door from outside because they don’t have keys. You have to tell the front desk when you are leaving so they can close your door for you. The mattress is not comfortable. The staff doesn’t explain much at check in. You have to check in while sitting in a car. The price of this spot was way too high for how poor quality it was. It felt like I was sleeping in a sketchy night club.

This is a special, so called” motel” which is different from a normal, regular hotel. Only suitable for young lovers with car for a romantic night without loosing privacy. Room has heavy smoking smell!

The non smoking room smelt really awful like smoke and it wasn’t very clean.

Very few food

This is a hotel for a couple goes by car. There is no lobby to check in.

GOOD

The room, facilities and amenities were awesome. The breakfast was delicious too.

It was not completely soundproof so we could hear our neighbors rolling their bags and banging things every now and then (luckily we didn't hear any OTHER noises.)

I planned on hanging out with some friends in the room, before going out on the town. As my friend started showing up at the room I was getting calls from the staff that only two people were allowed in the room, and if I had more than two they could only stay for 15 minutes. After talking to the staff on the phone, they allowed me to have friends in the room for two hours. As more friends showed up, they called me again and said there were too many people in the room, and we got into a little argument on the phone. I only had four friends drop by, but obviously this was a problem for the hotel. They also had a cleaning lady show up, and just open the door to the room and walk in.For privacy reasons, I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. Decides that, there’s no real lobby at the hotel, so checking in was quite confusing. I won’t attribute that to the staff, but the design of the hotel was somewhat irritating.

Check in - check out times = 16 hours - very badly placed timing ; very inconvenient and very less for full day of 24 hours ! .. All switches have chinese naming (good) All menu items are in chinese. No doubt its good for chinese customers. But It could be helpfull with a small font english below most of it ?

Reasonable price at Sat. night. Free drinks and cookies.

The staff was very accommodating. As westerners I knew this type of hotel would be an experience. We didn’t love our first room and asked if we could change. The staff was very kind and showed us options and held our bags until our new room was available.

Nice location, always like here! Big room with reasonable price.

Drove up in our taxi and was surprised that we had to present our passport at the security gate. Turns out that was the reception. Got the keys and the taxi driver then drove up the parking lot ramp, right to our room door. So wild. Huge room with tacky decorations. Jacuzzi and steam room included. Wi-Fi works well. His and Hers toiletry boxes in bathroom. I would say “Romantic” in reviews a euphemism. More like unique and quirky and good deal for being pretty central in Taipei. Just over 1100 ntd from airport by taxi.

The staffs are very sincere, lovely and very helpful. They proactively reach people and help us. It was a very pleasant staying.

Room is very big and spacious. Can choose your preferred choice of room. Each room comes with a car garage. Really an eye opener for us. Quick check in but the disadvantage is that you are only able to go into your room after 8pm which makes your stay a pretty short one to enjoy all the facilities.

Wonderful stay and great decor! Worth every dollar you pay for!

We chose the room "Moonwalk" with this very funky sci-fi scenario. The room overall is fantastic and its price is totally reasonable. It has jacuzzi, steam room and karaoke that you can actually spend some good time with your significant one. Thoughtful facilities and cozy bed were out of our expectation. The service was excellent.
