My husband and I spent 5 nights at Hotel La Tamise and highly recommend it if you prefer the intimate boutique hotel experience in a vibrant, central and safe area of Paris. There are so many positives. First, the staff is terrific! Saleh, Kevin, Camille and Antonio were always happy to advise or just chat. Second, the breakfast is delicious, and Saleh is a master host. Third, the property is extremely clean and well appointed. While the rooms are small, they are quiet and smartly designed with modern amenities and comfortable beds. The location allowed us to walk to all the major attractions and restaurants, yet the Metro is conveniently just a block away. We are so glad we chose this wonderful property and hope to return soon! Merci les amis!
We went with 2 other couples for 3 nights ostensibly for the rugby. We won’t talk about that. The whole experience was just wonderful. It is a small boutique hotel, with a small reception area and a separate bar breakfast area. The moment we arrived we felt like we had arrived home. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would like to name them all. A particular mention to the gentleman who prepared breakfast each morning. He remembered what all 6 of us wanted and also the special orders. The location is perfect and close to everything including a 3 minute walk to the metro. They can also organise airport transfers which we availed of. I can’t wait to return to my Parisian home! Thank you.
Great location. Very nice room (basic one is small but standard for the area). Amazing mattress. Friendly smiley front desk.
We stayed 3 nights and if I could I would rate this hotel 10 stars. The location is unbeatable! The staff was unbelievably welcoming and courteous. The hotel itself is very small and quaint with only 19 guest rooms. We highly recommend eating breakfast here. Our host for breakfast was a true gentleman named Saleh. He made the experience so nice and inviting and the food was excellent. The concierge was also first class. I really can’t rate this establishment any higher. You will be very happy that you chose this very charming hotel. A+++
Incredible location. Walkable to many great sights (Louvre, Tuileries, Place Concorde, Vendome) not to mention great shopping on Rue St. Honore.
After researching numerous hotels, we picked Hotel La Tamise. The concierge Kevin was friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The location is perfectly situated to walk to most attractions. As an added bonus, the Tullerie Gardens across the street had just started the Christmas Market. The Market was magical. The ferris wheel made it easy to find the hotel after a long day of walking the city. Kevin and Antonio went above and beyond to make our stay effortless. They arranged transportation, shows and anything we needed to enjoy Paris. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Hotel La Tamise. Scott and Maggie November 2025
This beautiful hotel is perfectly located in the 1st arrondissement which means it is walking distance to so many must-do attractions. The staff is the best and couldn’t be more helpful, pleasant and fun! Our room was well-appointed as well as the downstairs restaurant which offered a wonderful breakfast and champagne in the afternoon. We are headed to Paris (for our 10th time in Paris) and of course will be staying at La Tamise. We can’t wait!
Small intimate hotel next to the Rue de Rivoli within easy walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame and fun shopping. Hotel is small, rooms small but well equipped and clean. Everything you need for a Paris stay. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Would stay in this hotel again!
The hotel was amazing, great location, spotlessly clean. The bedrooms are finished to a very high standard. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely be returning!
Staff was excellent. Location can’t be better. Rooms are small but very cozy. Only complaint is shower needs to be cleaned better. Corners of tile look moldy. Other then that everything is crisp and clean
The highlight of this stay is the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. In particular, Kevin was able arrange a chauffeur last minute who was delightful to spend the day with. I highly highly recommend this hotel, especially if this is the first time to Paris. Everyone had the time to explain everything, and of course the location is very central.
Phenomenal hotel in a fantastic location with an incredible friendly staff. Hotel is across the street from the Tuileries Gardens and 2 minutes from the Tuileries Metro Station. Short walks to both the Louvre and Orsay Museums. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are very comfortable and rooms are extremely clean. Staff was always available and very friendly with any requests made to them. A very good breakfast was available every morning - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, pastries, juice. Would definitely stay there again if we ever get back to Paris.
Très bien
Location
Lovely hotel. Walking distance to museums, shopping, etc. lovely assortment for continental breakfast.
From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed and pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which set the tone for a wonderful stay. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Paris, making it easy to explore the city while still feeling tucked away from the hustle and bustle. When we arrived at the hotel early in the morning, we were delighted to find that our room was already prepared and ready for us, a thoughtful gesture that made all the difference after our early flight. Later that day, after returning from a long and tiring walk around Paris, we were pleasantly surprised to find a complimentary bottle of wine along with some delicious treats waiting for us in the room. This thoughtful touch was deeply appreciated and made us feel truly cared for after a busy day of exploring the city. The interior design is elegant and thoughtfully done, creating a refined yet comfortable atmosphere. Our room was spacious for central Paris, and had everything we needed to feel completely at home. The hospitality and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable, and we are already looking forward to returning.
If you are looking for an old school Parisian experience, this hotel is for you. The decor, while not stale, is old world Paris. It has Romeo and Juliet balconies with flower boxes and just has that feel that you are in Paris. The rooms are very small. We had two connecting rooms for 4 people and were glad that we were only staying one night, as it was a tight squeeze. The location is great for going to the Louvre. The rooms were clean and had nice touches like travel books produced by the hotel group. One weird thing to note is both of the rooms had windows where you could see from the room into the bathroom, with only a sliding see-through shade to obstruct the view from the room into the bathroom. Third time we've seen this in a hotel and still don't understand the thinking behind a design like this. Breakfast is served in a small room and the offerings were a disappointment, although the waiter was as nice as can be and eager to please. They offered some pastries and candies in this room all day. All in all, the location was perfect for what we needed and the hotel is pleasant and probably appealing to many who are looking for that old Parisian vibe. While it is a nice hotel with good service and we were glad for the night in a vibe like this, we stayed in Paris a few days later for several days in a more modern hotel with much larger rooms and decided that was more our speed.
The location was spot on to bus and rail transportation.
Employees were very attentive to their guests. Excellent place. Clean and great location.
Although we did not stay for a longer period we found the hotel very clean and walking distance for many places.
What a fabulous little hotel! It is perfectly placed to explore Paris with plenty of bars/restaurants nearby. Lovely little extra weee provided in the bedrooms such as a coffee machine, bottled water and full size body wash, shampoo and conditioner. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Location to everything was great. Smaller boutique hotel with very little traffic. Staff was very friendly. We will be back.
I love this hotel- my go-to in Paris. Small boutique in a great location with excellent service. Don’t miss it!
I had a great time at this hotel, walking distance to almost all the major attractions and close transit rides to the others. The staff were impeccable and the hotel had this modern rustic vibe ! Such a great stay will definitely be back
Concierge staff was available to help 24 hours a day! Great location for walking to the popular sites in Paris.
Great customer service! The entire staff of the hotel were friendly gracious and could not do enough to help us out with questions surrounding Paris places of interest or the great breakfast service! Top notch! Thank you! Tim Sears
Eight years ago, my husband and I fell in love with La Tamise. Except for Covid, we have been staying there every year, sometimes bringing friends along with us. This year, we brought our children, their spouses, and our seven year old grandson. And we are so delighted that they also love La Tamise. At first, what is most impressive is the incredible central location. However, what makes this hotel our home away from home, is the loyal staff that work there. They are so warm, welcoming, and go out of their way to insure that all their guests are well taken care of. I have recommended this hotel to so many people, that I was asked if I receive a commission, And I do not…..I just want to share this hidden gem with others. So, a special shout out to Saleh, Antonio, Kevin, Sid, Malik, Sukanta and Camille. They are the epitome of customer service. And I’d like to welcome the brand new hotel manager, Mandarin. We hope to see all of you next year.
It was our first trip to Paris and Hotel La Tamise was the best choice we could have made. Kevin, Camille and Saleh made the experience an even better one. They were all so helpful, friendly and accommodating - nothing was too much to ask. Our location was perfect for everything we wanted to accomplish. I will always stay here if we ever get the chance to go back.
We had an incredible stay here! From the warm welcome to help with reservations, the staff in this hotel is one of the best I’ve seen anywhere in the world. Super convenient location a minute from the metro stop & across from the beautiful Tuileries garden. Lots of good food options nearby & walking distance to multiple attractions. AC was perfect, the room always clean, beds very comfortable & it just felt perfect in every way.
In the heart of the city and close to so many sites. I loved waking up early and jogging around places like the Louvre and Notre. There’s a great boulangerie my fiance and I would get pastries near the NoTre Dame after our run. The smell of fresh pastries is heaven. The hotel itself also has the same aroma as they open for breakfast. Best smell in the world. Rooms are on the small side but amenities are nice. You have to expect smaller rooms in Europe and even places like Japan. This isn’t a count against them at all. I will definitely come here again for my next stay. The staff was also so kind and helpful. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.
Amazing boutique hotel with the attentive, helpful and kind staff. Top notch service.
Great property with friendly helpful staff. Shoutout to Kevin. AC is not very strong during peak summer hours. Slept in a 25C room with temperatures set to cool mode at 16C.
Wonderful hotel! Close to everything and great breakfast
Absolutely lovely. We stayed for 5 nights. The staff go above and beyond, are gracious and kind. Breakfast was delicious. Beds were comfy. Wife loved the windows opened for fresh air and view of the street. Espresso machine in the room. AC. Location easy access to the sights. Would stay again!
Excellent boutique hotel in a prefect location. The staff was amazing. Most tourists spots/museum are within walking distance. The subway and train station (to get to Versailles) are just across the street if you want to venture out further. Highly recommended.
Clean hotel in a good location. Positives - 1. Good location, within walking distance to Louvre Museum, start of hop on hop off big bus, and numerous restaurants. 2. Clean hotel and rooms. 3. Free breakfast included with nice selection of hot and cold items. 4. Friendly helpful staff. Negatives - 1. Smaller size room. 2. Power to room went out one morning we were there. Had to get ready in the dark. Overall good location along with breakfast and nice staff make this a good option.
Couldn't say enough good things about this hotel. Beautifully maintained boutique hotel with historical charm with modern bathroom upgrades. 2 blocks from the Lourve - close to everything, with an authentic Paris experience right outside the door. The staff and management were top-notch. And the breakfast buffets were amazing. Made our trip to Paris so much more enjoyable.
Was nice but much more money than advertised. Did not fight the bill but over $500 which was ridiculous for the tiny room
Outstanding boutique hotel close to everything Shopping , dining , transit The Louvre is right on your doorstep as well as the Tuileries gardens Staff are amazing and super helpful I will stay here the next time I’m in Paris !! Absolutely loved our experience
La Tamise is an excellent hotel. Very well located, the hotel is clean and quiet. Antonio on the front desk was a model of charm and helpfulness. He made dinner recommendations and reservations for us, helped with directions and welcomed us into the hotel. The rooms are not generously-sized, but are standard for Paris and are well-decorated and well appointed. The hotel is quiet and in an excellent location for the Louvre and the Tuileries, Notre Dame and the Place de la Concorde, etc. Overall La Tamise is a delightful hotel.
I had an excellent experience at Hotel La Tamise. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the Louvre and Tuileries Garden, making it easy to explore some of Paris’s most iconic sights. Not to mention that it's right next to one of the best shopping street in Paris. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or simply a warm smile. They truly made the stay feel personal and comfortable. The room was cozy, quiet, and impeccably clean, providing a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Everything from the bed to the bathroom felt thoughtfully maintained, adding to the overall comfort. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a charming, well-located boutique hotel with top-notch service.
Outstanding staff Location was perfect , close to everything
Amazing location
Greta place to stay. Lovely boutique hotel. So central yet so quiet. Can highly recommend!
This was our second time staying at this lovely hotel, we love it that much! The staff are all wonderful, so kind and accommodating going above and beyond. The amenities are so nice, coffee and tea in the room, the welcome basket of Champagne, chocolate and nuts, the special shampoo, conditioner, toiletries, the bed and pillows are also so wonderful. Really can't think of anything to improve upon. And the location is perfect just across from the Tuileries Gardens! When we come back to Paris we will be staying there again, we love it so much!
Quiet, great location, kind staff. Would stay again.
The staff is exceptional. We were greeted right away and were able to check in a little early, which was great after traveling. The staff told us everything we needed to know and offered to help with recommendations of where to visit while we were in town. They made sure we knew they were there to help with any concerns we might have, which made us feel good. The hotel’s location couldn’t have been more perfect. Walking distance to so many destinations, while still being tucked away from all the noise. The room itself was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We would absolutely stay here again.
Hotel is in a great location! Close to shopping and some great food options! The entire team is super friendly and helpful. We’ve already recommended it to a few friends.
Wonderful location, clean and comfortable, very attentive staff. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Olderrennovated hotel with impeccable service. Very clean. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Would stay again.
Comfortable and welcoming. Quiet. Relaxing. Great bed, wonderful breakfast. This hotel is within easy walking distance to many primary tourist destinations. Excellent shopping and dining options also walkable. Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, and make us feel at home and welcome.
I traveled to Paris (from the east coast US) with my daughter in February 2025 and we had the most amazing stay at Hotel La Tamise. The location is wonderful to access museums, great shopping and restaurants and also not too far of a distance from airport (about a 70 dollar taxi ride). The daily breakfast was perfect to start our day and the gentleman working in the restaurant was very pleasant and accommodating. Our room overlooked a quaint Paris street and we had floor to ceiling windows to open and enjoy the beautiful weather. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was an adequate size. The bathroom had all the amenities we needed and wonderful products. The front desk staff was very helpful upon arrival and throughout our stay. I would most definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it to others.
Gorgeous French boutique hotel at the centre of everything. Excellent service too! We dropped a diamond earring on the day of our departure. The hotel found it and kept it safe for 2 months until we could have it collected. Can’t ask for better!
Great location, friendly staff and fabulous hotel. This is a great base from which to explore Paris, the Metro is 50m away and you can walk to Tuileries as well as Champs D'Elysee. Rooms very clean and quiet. We will definitely be coming back here.
Well trained and friendly staff
Convenient location. Walking distance to many attractions. Clean rooms and excellent staff.
Amazing staff, great location and the room was lovely. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff again, was really fantastic.
The La Tamise is situated in an excellent location. The team there was exceptionally friendly and made us feel right at home. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, it was a wonderful touch to be greeted with champagne and allowed an early check-in after our lengthy flight. The atmosphere is peaceful and comforting. I highly recommend it!
So friendly.
We had a great time in Paris, and in no small part due to La Tamise. Camille greeted us every day, provided helpful travel advice, and was able to answer all of our questions. Saleh provided us with delicious breakfasts (and most of all coffee and drinks) with peerless service. The rooms were comfortable, with a comfortable bed, a spotless bathroom, and all of the amenities. And the service staff was prompt, consistent, and thorough. Maybe many of my countrymen may complain about the size of the room. But we did not come to Paris to stay in our room! The Hotel provided us with what we needed and more. Thank you!
The helpful staff, convenient location, charming rooms, comfortable beds, a plentiful breakfast and fresh pastries on offer throughout the day are just some of the reasons that La Tamise is my favorite boutique hotel in Paris. Despite being a stone’s throw from Rue de Rivoli, the ambiance is calm and quiet.
Fantastic small hotel right in the center of Paris, staff very friendly and helpful. Kevin sorted us a dinner reservation at a nice brasserie (Flottes). Room clean and stylish with good facilities. Would visit again.
Room was tiny. No place to even work at a computer and no decent chair in which to sit. Bed was OK
We stayed at Hotel La Tamise for 3 nights this February and it was wonderful. We enjoyed a peaceful stay at this quaint hotel. The room was very clean, with a comfortable bed. It is very well cared for and the staff was helpful and gave us very good recommendations for where to eat, etc. The location was very convenient to shopping, dining and public transportation. We highly recommend this hotel if you prefer traditional, small hotels with a true French atmosphere.
supper good location anywhere by foot ! super nice staff ! will come back in our next trip !
The staff were amazing.....so helpful, so friendly...we would definely return. Breakfast was relaxing and amazing.. Saleh made sure everyone enjoyed a great breakfast.
Excellent staff and service and location
Upon our arrival we could not have wished for a more warm and pleasant welcoming! They all bent over backwards to make our stay absolutely wonder-filled!!! We can’t wait to return.
The staff are all generally friendly. But Saleh and Kevin were the most kind and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect, it was close to the metro, the garden, lots of restaurants, the shops and yet extremely quiet and we felt very safe too. We will be back. Thank you!
Staying at this hotel greatly enhanced our stay in Paris. The hotel was both elegant and charming and the staff couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. We were greeted with tea and cake upon arrival. In our room was champagne, a hand written note welcoming us, and a box of delicious candy. There’s even an espresso machine in the hotel room! Perfectly located too- a few minutes walk to the Louvre, gardens, Christmas markets, museums, and restaurants. This hotel surpassed any expectations we could have had. Thank you!
Good location, knowledgeable and friendly staff, an great experience.
Lovely boutique hotel with a very helpful and courteous team of staff. Located in the 1st Arr, with a metro station across the road and the Louvre was a five-minute walk away - very convenient. Rooms were clean, comfortable and cosy and had all the amenities we needed. We stayed as a family of four (2 adults and 2 teens). Highly recommend and would definitely return again.
Awesome service at this boutique hotel. We accidentally dropped a diamond stud in the hotel room, which we only discovered once we’d boarded our flight home. We contacted the hotel and the staff found it on the floor and kept it in the safe for 2 months until we could have it collected. Honestly, they must have searched for ages to find it. Truely awesome service!!
Nice room, superb location for 1st time visitors
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely Parisien Hotel. The check-in and checkout times made our stay easier. The hotel is situated in a great area. Easy to walk to places and also access to the Metro. All the team were friendly, helpful and professional. We were helped with finding a restaurant for lunch and making sure we could get a last minute reservation. Everything was perfect during our stay including the weather. Thank you.
Lovely hotel. Excellent staff and service. Good location for walking or Metro. We were given a fabulous restaurant recommendation and a reservation made for us just a 5 minute walk away. Perfect.
This is wonderful premium hotel. It’s relatively small (19 rooms?) and this allows it and the services it provides to make you feel special. The staff are very welcoming and are eager offer help and suggestions. They really try to make you feel like your at your home from home. Something which really surprised me are the bath towels that are just so fabulously thick and soft. The hotel is in an excellent prime central location and there are several metro station within easy walking distance. This is now my ‘go to’hotel in Paris, it’s just that good!
Superb location. Freindly and helpful staff. Comfortable room
Great staff, very polite and helpful, thank you!
Staff were very helpful and friendly Antonio, Sali, Kevin and Sid. Location was perfect, walking distance to major attractions and restaurants. Smaller hotel which we liked. Very safe…
The staff was tremendously helpful and friendly. It's located in an amazing location, very clean, comfortable bed, and nespresso machine in the room. Highly recommend!
The location is excellent. The staff are anxious to please. The rooms are in good condition. The only downside is that the size of many of the rooms are quite small; however, the are very efficiently furnished.
Hotel de la Matise is a small boutique hotel with under 20 total rooms. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. They enjoyed our interactions as much as we did. The rooms are small and intimate yet clean and adequate. Would definitely stay here again if our travels take us back to Paris and hopefully they will. located near the Tulleries Garden. Their location is on a quiet street in the heart of Paris close to area Paris museums, shopping and dining.
Excellent location. Spacious and well appointed rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.
Excellent location. Spacious and well appointed rooms. Friendly and helpful staff.
Wonderful boutique style hotel in a posh area. Quiet at night, central to majority of popular areas in Paris. Access to two metro stations/lines as well. Staff is so nice and friendly too.
Great friendly staff and excellent location.
Impeccable staff and service. Very cozy hotel. Exceeded my expectations.
Staff were great. Gave us excellent local dining options . Location is fabulous for walking, sightseeing and shopping.
Nice location and accommodating staff.
Exceptional location
Au coeur du 1er arrondissement, cet hôtel est magnifique. Le service est haut de gamme et les chambres sont grandes et très confortables. Près du Louvre et des cafés parisiens, La Tamise est un arrêt obligatoire sur votre itinéraire.
The Tamise is ideally situated within easy distance of lots of the major attractions of the city. The Tuilleries gardens are just across the road along with the Louvre, a bit further in the opposite direction(right from the hotel)is the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. The breakfast is simple but tasty, there are plenty of places nearby if you want to venture out from the hotel. Our room was small but(average size across Europe) but big enough for a couple of nights. All the staff we came in contact with were very helpful. All in all a lovely hotel in an excellent location would happily return.
What a great vacation spot! The location spoke for itself. The hotel was so close to many great areas that we were able to walk to. The staff were very professional and willing to help. The room was very clean. Shower was very nice! The mattress was very nice! We actually overslept one morning.
We had a wonderful time in Paris by staying here. Most places stay within walkable distance from the hotel and there’s lots of restaurants and bakeries around the block. We were impressed with the staff kindness and hospitality, as well as the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Will definitely stay here again next time
Great location, great staff!
Lovely staff, clean pretty room and breakfast was perfect!
The Staff are excellent
The staff was tremendous! It's in an amazing location and I highly recommend!
the literal 0NLY downside to staying there was the olympics prep caused a shut down / limited access to the other side of the river - otherwise amazing staff, super friendly and amazing accomodating service on all levels - thank you so much staff for making my first Paris trip absolutely fantastic!!!
