We had terrible experience The staff where so so rude and aggressive The address of the hotel was written wring at booking.com to star with . Not only they did not say sorry but also where so rude and aggressive and said cancel if you are not happy. Imagine with three luggages has to walk in the very busy district with lots of motorcycles. When we arrived they had so much attitude that was so unpleasant . The room did not have window which was so dark and lack if air I insisted to change my room The girl shout at me and said you cancel and go I said i go no where until i fond another hotel Then tjey sent an aggressive man who shouted on me and my mother Physically attacked us and kick me in my waste to leave the room Me and my mum where so scared Mum was shivering We tried to not let him come in the lift with us But he pushed us ti the lift and This was extremely frightening that we where panicked I asked the reception to call the police but they refused
Quite run down and dirty hotel. The room to my astonishment wasn’t as dirty as the hallways, floors, carpets, elevator so I suppose that makes it passable for a 1 night stay.
This hotel is located in an area that have many shops, cafes, convenient store, and small restaurants. The lobby of the hotel looks nice but the interior of the room looks like a 2Star hotel. It's a nice hotel to stay for 1 or 2 nights.
Facilities are very old. Water in bathroom and toilet are not flowing properly, caused stinky smell Aircond was not working at 3am, exhaust fan also not running in the bathroom, the room has no window, so stuffy and could not sleep, call reception at 3am, no pick up, call again at 4:15am, still no one answer. It was my terrible experience during my trip in Hanoi. Staff are not friendly in general. Never come back to Dragon Pearl Hotel again.
The room showed to me after my booking was very small.... I had to upgrade the room with city view cause we were 2 adult and child. Soo i saw that after booking online the room showed to me was compartively small... soo upgradation was only choice for me...
Terrible hotel in my business trip in Hanoi The staffs don’t care when I check in with huge luggage During 2 nights stay, I didn’t see any smile or take care customer Besides, the breakfast is very cheap with noodles, vegetables, no soup or hot dishes
A basic stay with comfort. Remember there are no smoking rooms in this hotel. Buffet breakfast is as usual. English speaking service people as not much to be found. Keep the google translator handy. Otherwise a good sleep and clean hotel iwth plus is its location.
Pro: Location is ok, have cafe nearby. Con: Needs better maintenance. They took two days to fix a leaky shower. There is a electric kettle but no supply of instance coffee/tea
Great value for money if your looking for somewhere to stay in Hanoi on a budget. Rooms very clean although a little dated, but you can’t complain for the price you pay. Staff were excellent, very helpful and attentive. Laundry service was great, and very good value.
Just arrival, amazing clean room, all facilities in needed, so flexible and helpful staff both receptionist young lady and gentle bellman. Location also good.we will find out more interesting things around in next two days.
It s an amazing hotel. Nice receptionist, services are fine. I stayed in a quiet place but there were noise around because the door is not anti-noised one. Definitely will come back next time. Suitable for short stay
We had a lovely stay in this hotel. Location is perfect and we even got upgraded to the Suite. Our room was quite spacious and clean. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. They even had vegetarian options in their breakfast. We had a very pleasant experience altogether.
The hotel rooms are larger and cleaner than other boutique hotels where I’ve stayed in old Hanoi. Quadruple room for 2 adults and 2 children. Excellent service. Good breakfast options. Reliable airport transfers.
Nice location in the boarder of the Old Quarters. Very friendly staff. Comfortable beds ja the room was nice. The breakfast was a fusion of Asian and English breakfast.
A friend and i stayed at this hotel for the last few days of our Vietnam trip, the staff is worth the stay. All were very friendly, professional, and helpful. Would stay again for this reason alone. Hotel is within 20 mins walking to lake kiem, shopping, botanical garden, water puppets, hoa lo prison, ho chi minh museum and other places of interest
Dragon Pearl Hotel is located in the heart of the Old Quarters, quite close and walking distance to shopping and site-seeing. I was very pleased with our room that was surprisingly spacious. The buffet breakfast is also impressive- catering to Western and Asian cuisine. Linh and Huong took care of our breakfast in our 6 day stay in the hotel. Ask Linh to cook you an awesome scrambled egg. My favourite part in Dragon Pearl Hotel is very friendly and extremely helpful staff. I wish all hotels I stay in have staff like May and Linh in front desk reception. May especially is very special - very attentive and sensitive to our needs and comfort. She made sure that our needs and concerns were addressed. On our first day- Linh of front desk made sure someone helped us cross the street- those scooters can be intimidating. I loved staying in Dragon Pearl Hotel especially because of those four girls- May and Linh of front desk and Linh and Huong of dining.
The hotel is reasonably priced with great old quarter location and first class rooms. The staff are so very helpful and friendly. Wether you want a tour in sa pa or plane tickets the staff will arrange it for you. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hanoi.
The hotel is perfectly located close to everything you might want to see in Hanoi. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfy. The staff is lovely and helpful. We've stayed many times in Hanoi but this hotel became quickly our favorite.
I was as impressed by the attentiveness and kindness of the staff as I was by the cleanliness and pleasant atmosphere in each of the two rooms I stayed in. I was also impressed that this quality of service might be expected in far more expensive hotels but is highly unusual for a hotel in this price range. This was as true at the front desk as it was in the kitchen. May, Linh and Jason at the front and Linh, in the dining area were all genuinely interested in seeing that I was comfortable even as Linh, in the dining area, was also attentive and thoughtful to me and my guest, as well. Thank you all for making my stay so incredibly pleasant.
This is a great hotel for what you pay. The staff are excellent and very informative. It's central and is very comfortable.
The Dragon Pearl is well situated just on the outskirts of the Old Quarter in Hanoi offering comfortable and generously sized rooms with all the amenities you would expect. Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, flat screen TV, safe, fridge, complimentary tea, coffee and water replenished each day. A great walk-in shower room with complimentary shampoos and lotions, the list goes on. Daily breakfast, which catered for Asian and European tastes, was included in the rack rate and if you were going out early bagged meals were provided. Laundry services were available for a few dollars and the hotel also provided spa treatments and its own trip planning and booking service. It really is all under one roof. The Staff were exceptional from Linh who oversaw the Breakfast offerings to Lihn, May and Ann who manned the front desk and arranged all the trips and visits. Although trips booked via the Hotel were a little more expensive than those offered in the myriad of “Travel Agents” down town, those few extra pounds really guaranteed a first class experience, far too many of those down town establishments offer a very poor service and add on spurious charges which inflate the original cost. Nothing was too much trouble; they arranged taxi’s and train tickets and advised what a taxi fare should cost etc. One thing I did like was that everything was added to the bill which was cleared on the last day, all very transparent and explained in detail, no digging around in your pocket every five minutes. We booked two of their large suites, probably the best rooms in the place and the cost per day was less that you would pay for a cheap B&B in, well, pick a place. Highly recommend visiting Vietnam, it is an amazing place and highly recommend the Dragon Pearl or one of its sister hotels if you are basing yourself in Hanoi
Nothing fancy but a good value hotel with friendly helpful staff could not do more for you. Decent size clean rooms in a good location for old town and Ho Chi Minh area. Hotel general areas a little tired.
Conformable enough. Rooms didn't have windows which was odd but they are clean and a good size. The hotel is on a busy street, not a far walk to main lake and bars and shopping. Around 15 min walk. Reception were helpful and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was good too.
We started our Vietnam tour in Hanoi and it was a great beginning. We have been welcome very very friendly. The whole staff was great. They helped in every situation. Breakfast was great. I had a footmassage i could really recommend this hotel
We stayed here multiple times. This hotel is in a great location. The rooms were clean and the staff very helpful. The bathroom was lovely, very spacious. The one criticism is the breakfast could've been better. The quality and choice wasn't great. However, we really enjoyed our stay here.
Excellent
Hotel is located in the Old Quarter, but it is 1km to walk to all the shops and restaurants. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay!
Great hotel near the Old Quarter, staff are so friendly, close to markets, shops and eateries.
First time: One customer lengthened their stay --> no room for us. Moved us to a smelly hotel and we didn't feel safe there. Second time(just after 3 days since we had to go to another district): Even after telling them after the first time to not let the same thing happen. They failed us. Their excuse was that they were renovating (despite the fact that 5 pairs came out of the elevator: the obviously had rooms). Wasted 3 hours of our time to find a hotel that we could accept. Even more disappointing since we booked and PAID then 2 months ahead. Ruined the whole holiday in Hanoi.
Centrally located hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was lovely, clean and spacious. Would recommend this hotel.
The hotel is situated right by old quarter. It is in decent shape. Superior rooms are tight quarters with no windows. Needs slightly hard. Breakfast included and free WiFi. Hotel staff were friendly, the map given out was a great help. They have a spa. Offer taxi service to and from airport. Food and beverages in room for additional charges. Room service available at additional charge as well.
Everything was good except that there was a weird stench coming from the toilet.
My stay with the dragon Pearl Hotel was great. There were some issues but the good things out weigh the bad. First the bad, to get on the internet I needed to stand by the door of the room. The housekeepers were loud when cleaning room next to ours at 8am. There were four of them in the room talking and we could hear everything like they were standing in our room. The good, the staff at the foot desk and resturant were great. They bent over backwards to help us enjoy our trip to Hanoi. If we asked where a good resturant was they would give us directions or have a taxi waiting for us. The free breakfast in the morning was a good mix of local and western food so that you could have your comfort food and also try the local cuisine. The hotel has tours that you can book through them if you want to. The hotel is located on the edge of the old quarter so it was easy to get Hanoi Opera House, Ngoc Son Temple and other exciting locations to see. You can either walk or take a taxi for $2-3. I highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay there again if I get back to Hanoi.
You made my memorable! A Hanoi in hotel. About friendly staffs, good service , crazy but nice tiny room with modern style decorations. And should mention to Rubi, a lovely management of front office with knowledge about Hanoi Old Quarter , and map. And please send my big hug and thank you to ladies at receptionist. We'll definite come back in near future. I love Hanoi and Dragon Pearl Hotel.
Very friendly and helpful staff at front desk a d in restaurants that. Hotel is well LOCATED IN RELATION To Old Saigon.
Simple hotel, simple breakfast, good for a base or stop over. Breakfast very standard. Not terribly clean, found a cockroach and fowl smell in bathroom, then got moved to a different room with no hot water.
From Sweden ư/ love, please thank you so much for your served and service of the hotel, made our stay is really welcome and lovely. Especial thank you Rubi for arrange the tour Halong bay for us , lovely and amazing tour, good review about old town and city map information from Kim , everyone is really friendly and helpful. Room is modern and clean. Thank you so much again for everything. We'll comeback to your country one more time and we will go for say " hi " to you guys. Emelie and Svensk from Sweden w/ love!
The room had no window. Pas de fenêtre dans notre chambre. The beds had no space in between. Very tight to the door of the washroom. Breakfast was nice. Simple but nice for Vietnam. Service was exceptional. Loved the staff! 15 minute walk to the lake.
Thank you so much Rubi for your kind and knowledge map , you make our trip is highly enjoyable and relaxing. Hope we'll come back to your hotel, second family in Hanoi again in near future. Please send thank you to Ms. Linh , beauty.
Our room had no hot water and they couldn't change our room due to full occupancy that night, so we had to head to the public restroom on the ground floor to shower instead, which was quite inconvenient. Nevertheless, they fixed it the next day and it was back to normal from then on. Good service overall, friendly and helpful receptionists and service staff. Location was good, on the outskirts of the Old Quarter and walking distance to food places. Definitely value-for-money.
Great service by staff. Hotel was so so. Weak Wifi.
We were given a free upgrade to a suite room which was a great surprise and decent room.
The Deluxe Rooms (City View) at Dragon Pearl Hotel were large, clean and well maintained. Be aware that "Superior Rooms" and potentially "Deluxe Rooms" lack windows of any sort, as described in other reviews and as I saw on-site. The hotel is reasonably close to the Hoan Kiem district- not quite walking distance but a short taxi ride away.
Kanonbra, rekommenderas varmt, bra läge och bra personal.
Booked a superior room but was upgraded on arrival without asking. New room was huge, elegant and had best bed ever. Great bathroom. Crispy linen.
Very helpful staff in a reat location for exploring the city. Only complaint would be that the walls are thin.
Veldig greidt hotel 2 min fra old town.
The staff were so nice and helpful. Took the time to take me late night to get new SIM card and waited and made sure all was good including getting safely across the street lol Close to everything too.
Fantastisk time in Hanoi and hotel
Small area for breakfast. Many Chinese guests. Kind staff. Room is spacious but noisy from streets.
Stay very good overall
Good location to get to most of the things one might want to see. Staff was very helpful. Just be patient as sometimes things are misunderstood in translation. The hotel was not new so was not perfect, so did not give a 5 across the board. It was a very good stay and would stay there again.
The room was very modern and exceptionaly clean and the breakfast was good. The only criticism we would make is the lack of a window can make one feel a little "boxed in". Nevertheless the service and the nearby restaurants are very good.
I was arriving a little bit late at the hotel that day due to my flight delay and unpunctual airport bus ride. It was almost 2am and the main door was closed. But the duty receptionist promptly opened for me with a few knocks. The check-in was really hassle free (I mean super fast) and I had a very good sleep for that night. The room are well decorated with all essential amenities. The hotel also has a cozy and nice restaurant on the top of the building. It serves traditional Vietnamese & Asian as well as other Western style food. All staff are very friendly and that's what matters in today's service industry. The hotel is also strategically located. Most of the major attractions are within walkable distance. By the way, the hotel also offers free maps which was really helpful during my trip to Hanoi. I will not say everything is all perfect but it's definitely value for money, and many have exceeded your expectation. I'm willing to recommend this hotel to my friends and I will personally stay there if I visit Hanoi again.
Excellent Service from the staff at the reception.Hotel close to the highlights of Hanoi.
Bra service.
Great staff, friendly and helpful. Room is small and cramped. Bathroom door is a sliding door with frosted windows. Great for couples, but if you're sharing with friends, you might end up seeing more than you ask for. There is a nasty sewage odor that comes from the drains in the bathroom. It seems to exist in all rooms as we stayed in two different rooms while we were there. If you are looking for a late activities, this hotel isn't for you. Everything around here closes early except for a few cafes. Most restaurants seem to close after 8 or 9pm.
Me and my friend travelled a bit around in Vietnam, but we always came back to Hanoi, cause we had our luggage in the hotel and our flight was from Hanoi. All together we stayed at the hotel for 8 nights, in two different rooms. The rooms are nice, and the staff is really helpful, but unfortunately the bathrooms smells sewage. Other than that, I had a really nice stay there, and it's cheap as well. Old town is small, so it only takes 10 minutes to walk to the "center of the center" which is the lake(a lot of shops and restaurants in that area)
Great reception and kind people. This hotel is located in a good area. If we go to Vietnam again definitely will choose this hotel.
Everything is fine.
Beliggenheten er litt utenfor sentrum, men kun en 15 min gåtur ca.
What a gem in the middle of the city! For what we paid for, this hotel far exceeded our expectation. Hotel staff were very friendly. There was a problem with our check-in; somehow they did not receive the reservation from hotels.com (so make sure you call to confirm prior to arrival) but they quickly accomdate us. The room is a bit small but very well decorated and comfy. The bathroom is spacious and clean. Our only complaint is the toilet smells a little, and we think they may have put up the glass bathroom wall inside out because it's definitely see-through from the bed.
