The staff couldn’t have been more helpful- we were a motley crew, travelling with a very young baby, vegans and a non shed dog- all were gracefully accommodated. The food was delicious, we were all happy. Quality decor, including very good sheets, hard to find. Lovely location across from a beautiful beach.

The hot tub was below recommended temperature one day.

Die Reinigung hätte besser sein können… Insektenleichen, die von Ameisen teilbeseitigt wurden, wurden über 3 Tage nicht beseitigt.

Die kleine Lodge mit 10 Zimmern ist modern ausgestattet und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alle Mitarbeitenden sind sehr freundlich und den Gästen zugewandt. Man nimmt sich Zeit für einen Smalltalk und Ausflugstip. Das Restaurant wartet mit einer ausgezeichneten Küche auf. Das Haus ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen im Abel Tasman Nationalpark, Bootstouren auf der Tasmansee und den Besuch dee nördlichsten Punktes der Südinsel.

Es ist übertrieben, dies als „nicht gefallen“ zu bezeichnen, aber dass es am Morgen kein Buffet gibt, sondern man sich aus verschiedenen Frühstücktsvarianten eine aussuchen muss (Eier, Tomaten mit Mozzarella, warmes Herzhaftes mit Würstchen, Müsli, …) ist zumindest ungewohnt.

Lovely gardens, comfortable bed & seating inside & outside the room. The breakfast that was included was so tasty & Chiara who looked after us most mornings was so friendly & great to chat to.

We had the best experience at Ratanui Lodge. Their exceptional hospitality, comfortable and expertly clean rooms, and safe and secure environment were fantastic. The location is just a short 3 - 4 minute walk from the beach, local bars/restaurants and general store. We will happily stay here again.

The breakfast, although VERY delicious, was very slow to come out of the kitchen. It took about an hour for breakfast, so take that into consideration if you have morning plans. The food was amazing though, as were our coffees.

A lovely location right near the beach and perfect place to relax after finishing the Heaphy track. Beautiful hotel, everything was very comfortable and clean and the people were lovely. Hot tub was great! Breakfast was also delicious. A wonderful place all round, wish we could have stayed longer!

Great place to stay. Lovely accommodation. Room was very clean, decent size and tastefully decorated. Loved the wonderful moisturiser, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, really quality products with gorgeous scents. Breakfast and dinners were delicious. Great location and close by to many fantastic activities and places to see. Would recommend to others what a gem this place is.

One afternoon staff member was not so friendly and welcoming, but the rest of the fantastic staff made up for her lack of engagement.

Very nice full breakfast in the morning. Staff helped us dry clothes after being in the rain all day.

The large room was perfectly clean and very modern. We had a rainy weekend so spent a few hours in the bar playing board games. The staff were very friendly and progressional. Dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were great. Great location. Close to Pokhara beach.

Fabulous little place! Extremely clean. Rooms had lovely bathrobe and gorgeous products which you could also purchase. Food was amazing! For me the food was not hot enough. I did send dinner back to be reheated - but it still wasn’t hot. The next day at breakfast - it was the same. There is a 46km drive around the mountain to get to the Lodge - whilst very windy, the views were fabulous.

A upmarket lodge that was recently refurbished. Our room number 10 was large and tastefully furnished with a large modern bathroom and good amenities. The breakfast and dinner served at the restaurant was high quality. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly.

All the staff were noticeably friendly, attentive and professional. Whoever is responsible for recruitment is doing a remarkable job. Special mention to Chiara on reception and Angela. Ate there both nights. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and only matched by the service. Best cooked breakfast on our extended trip. It’s off the beaten track but worth the effort to get there.

It was quiet & peaceful & relaxing. Staff were friendly & helpful. Outdoor dining area was just lovely with a lovely garden. Expedia's pricing on line was confusing. We ended up paying more per night than what was advertised.

The property was beautifully landscaped and rooms quite spacious / comfortable. The restaurant menu was exceptional with a hearty breakfast and delicious fine dining at night. The outdoor patio was perfect for the pre-dinner cocktail. Staff and Nick / manager were accommodating and helpful.

A comfortable stay with very friendly staff. New furniture and bathrooms were very clean. We used the hot tub and were provided with extra towels. Breakfast was excellent and parking was easy.

The property was clean and furnished well. It was in a good position for exploring the area. The staff were friendly and helpful especially Chiara who went out of her way to help.

We loved our stay at Ratatnui Lodge - the staff was so accommodating to anything and everything we needed. The rooms were very comfortable; outdoor jacuzzi (needed to be cleaned but still nice) and pool area were a great bonus. Included breakfast was amazing and I had the delicious blueberry pancakes both days. Dinner and Bar/Drinks were also exceptional. Location is great for exploring the north and west side of Abel Tasman. We planned to take a water taxi to the east side but the road was closed to due slips (not a problem we did that on our way out from the east side of the park). Room included basics such as tea and coffee - robes included for relaxing. Truly this was one of our favorite places we stayed. Staff helped us coordinate our activities and when we had to cancel one due to the road being out they made sure we got our refund. Amazing stay!!!

There was nothing about this lodge that I didnt like - my poor directional skills made it so I didn't realize there is essentially one way in and out of this side of the park so on the day we left we had to backtrack over the windy mountain pass. It ended working in our favor though and we took a water taxi from the east side the day we left since the day we wanted to explore the park from our end the road was closed.

This place is awesome! Great location, close to beautiful beaches. They also serve delicious food here. My room was clean and comfortable.

The room was tastefully furnished looked like it had a fresh coat of paint. The bed was amazing super comfortable. Bedding and linen were lovely. Chocolates were a nice added touch. It was lovely to sit outside our room infront of the garden and soak up the sun with a cocktail. I would love to stay again.

It would be nice to have pool towels available in the room we had to use our bath towels as there were no pool towels available in the pool area apart from that it was all amazing a well worth place to stay

Lovely place with lovely staff. Great rooms, very comfortable. Super-quiet location. We slept really well. The restaurant serves beautifully presented and tasty food. We messed up our booking and caused them considerable inconvenience which they were ever so nice about. That tells you a lot about a place!

A lovely peaceful stay at a boutique size lodge. The staff were professional yet friendly, and very helpful with local knowledge. The bed was superbly comfortable, the room was spacious, as was the bathroom with lovely locally made products. You could relax in the lounge in front of the fire, or outside in the patio area under the trees, by the pool area, or outside your room. Dining was a pleasure, lovely menu, lovely service. Great location, quiet, beach access across the road.

This was a special weekend away and not having to cook was one of the main reasons we chose Ratanui Lodge. And we totally loved the restaurant and the food. The chefs were amazing and went out of their way to accommodate my crazy dietary requirements. Loved it so much, we had dinner there all 3 nights :) Staff were all lovely and helpful. Little touches like a small bottle of fresh milk in the fridge were nice. Enjoyed sitting in the lounge in front of the fire after a day of exploring. Location was great with Farewell Spit, Wharariki Beach and Abel Tasman walk all within an hour's drive. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

The rooms were decorated well giving a feeling of high standard/5 star hotel but the room layout was a bit odd in that there was an open space next to the wardrobe and under the TV. The bathrooms are spacious with shampoo, dressing gowns etc provided but shower curtain was a bit out of keeping with the room. Not much to dislike.
