Température trop chaude à mon goût mais classique au Japon. Situé très près du Parc de Nikko avec ses temples et Cryptomeria. Un peu loin des restaurants, mais les hôtes m'ont proposé de m'y conduire en voiture... Parfait!

Reviewed May 7, 2026Shukubo Komadori-Sanso was an incredible Ryokan to stay in. It felt like being welcomed into a beautiful home. Everything was clean and looked after and the owner and staff were so friendly. The rooms were beautiful and the view was stunning. Being able to have a private "onsen" experience included was an unexpected bonus. I ate breakfast and dinner here for 2 days, and every meal was prepared with care and tasted incredible. Being able to stay on the mountain after the day visitors leave is an amazing experience and staying here was truly a standout experience of my 3 weeks in Japan. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Nous n'avions pas compris que l'hébergement n'était accessible qu'en funiculaire (qui n'est pas donné) et donc isolé, nous aurions aimé que cela soit écrit plus clairement sur l'annonce ... Aussi s'agissant d'un Ryokan les murs sont très fins : la quiétude et la tranquillité de votre séjour dépendront de vos voisins de chambre !

They kindly arranged a morning tamagushi and on our last day, an early breakfast so we could catch our train without stress. The food was excellent, and the location—right near the shrine—added to the overall experience. What stood out most was the silence; deeply peaceful, almost deafening in the best way.

Reviewed Mar 29, 2026Magnifique auberge Shubuko perchée dans les montagnes. J'ai été très bien accueillie. La chambre avait la vue sur les montagnes et était très calme et dans un style traditionnel. Les repas sont un vrai delice et le onsen très bienvenu Après une longue journée de randonnée.
L'oreiller n'était pas confortable. Pour les dîners, je mangeais seule à une table comme les autres voyageurs qui voyageaient en solitaire. C'était un peu triste et il aurait été bienvenu de tous manger ensemble pour ceux qui le souhaitaient au lieu de manger en silence.

The Dinner as well Japanese, was so Awesome, I still thinking about it, anything fresh and really tasty... Also, the Staff absolutely outstanding, very friendly and can speak as well good English. You miss something, if you not go to there...
There is one thing, I love to stay longer, but all rooms are occupied, so I had to leave... Well, if I am booked earlier, I would still stay there.... Sorry, there is nothing to report what i didn't like at all... Anything was perfect for me...

Reviewed Jan 18, 2026・部屋について オオルリの間を利用しました。 江ノ島方面の景色が見えます。 見晴らしがとても良かったです！ ・食事について 大広間で夕食をいただきました。 丹精のこもったお食事で美味しかったです。 お手製のこんにゃくが好きでした😋 食事を持ってきてくれたお祖母様が武蔵御嶽神社と駒鳥山荘の歴史について教えてくださって面白かったです。 ・風呂について 1組につき1時間貸切で利用できます。 アメニティは一通り揃っています。 柚子が入った風呂に入るの初めてでした。 いい匂いで癒されました🍊 ・スタッフについて ご家族で運営されています。 現在十八代目だそうです…！！😳 1月に行ったので夜はやや冷え込みますが、布団の中に湯たんぽを入れてもらったり、寒くないか何度かお声がけくださったり、暖かいお気遣いをいただきました。 1歳のお子さんがいましたが、看板娘かのように私たち宿泊者に手を振ってくれて可愛かったです…♥️ お陰様で、思い出になった宿泊でした。 また行きたいです！

Reviewed Dec 28, 2025The room and the facilities were really comfortable and clean. The owners were very friendly and spoke English, which was very helpful as a foreign visitor. I realized while I was at Mount Mitake the day before my stay that it would be uncomfortable to carry my backpack with me all day, so I emailed to ask if I could possibly drop it off in the morning. They responded very quickly and were very accommodating. Overall, I had a wonderful time and would recommend.

Reviewed Dec 21, 2025Spending a night here was the most magical thing I have ever done. The whole place is very nice and cozy, the room is amazing and the view beautiful. Everyone is very helpful and polite, the breakfast and dinner superb. I cannot overstate how nice this place is. We were asked for a time slot to use the public bathroom and as well as when we want dinner and breakfast. We spent one night here, arrived in the evening just before the excellent dinner. Had breakfast the next morning, checked out and did a small hike in the surrounding mountains. My only regret is not staying another day.

The unheated corridors in winter, especially since it’s a shared toilet and washbasins.

冬山なので、家内でもそれなりに寒い。 足元から冷えるので、インナー、靴下、レッグオーマーなどは必須。
